DVB-H interface
RM-100 has an integrated DVB-H receiver. The receiver is built into a module form-factor located in upper
block of RM-100. The DVB-H receiver consists of 2 key components, RFIC and BBIC. It is able to receive 6, 7 or
8MHz (channel width depending on used standard in different countries) DVB-H transmissions over
470-750MHz band. The receiver decapsulates IP packets (e.g. audio and video data) from the stream and
forwards them to the application processor. The module contains all needed DVB-H receiver functions
excluding antenna. Antenna consists of antenna element and matching circuitry. Matching circuitry is
controlled via DVB-H receiver. The DVB-H module is controlled by OMAP1710SS with SPI interface that is
common with displays. The DVB-H module is set on and off by DVB_H_Ena signal that is controlled by OMAP
1710SS. DVB-H activity signal is used for synchronizing SD memory card operation during DVB-H reception.
