Bluetooth
The Bluetooth chip is integrated together with FM radio chip into the BTHFM module. The Bluetooth and
WLAN solutions share a common antenna. The BT antenna path passes through the WLAN module, and whilst
BT and WLAN are both active, the use of the antenna is negotiated via the BT-WLAN interacitivity lines
WLAN_BT(6:0).
When WLAN is inactive, the BT acquires the antenna by the action of the BT_CLOCK_REQUEST line, which
enables the WLAN power regulators N6300, N6301 and N6303. These regulators power up part of the WLAN
module, thus enabling only its internal RF switch for BT use, whilst the remainder of the WLAN functionality
remains sleeping.
Bluetooth provides a fully digital link for communication between a master unit and one or more slave units.
The system provides a radio link that offers a high degree of flexibility to support various applications and
product scenarios. Data and control interface for a low power RF module is provided. Data rate is regulated
between the master and the slave.
