Service tools
Product specific tools
The table below gives a short overview of service devices that can be used for testing, error analysis, and
repair of product RM-348; RM-349; RM-350. For the correct use of the service devices, and the best effort of
workbench setup, please refer to various concepts.
FS-84 Flash adapter
• FS-84 is equipped with a clip interlock system
• provides standardised interface towards Control Unit
• multiplexing between USB and FBUS media, controlled by VUSB
MJ-173 Module jig
MJ-173 is meant for component level troubleshooting.
The jig includes RF interface for Bluetooth, WLAN and GPS. In addition,
it has the following features:
• Provides mechanical interface with the engine module
• Provides galvanic connection to all needed test pads in module
• Multiplexing between USB and FBUS media, controlled by Vusb
• Duplicated SIM connector
• Connector for control unit
• Access for Audio-, MMC, and USB connectors

SS-162 Navi key pressing
tool
SS-162 is used to bond the Navi key to the UI module when
reassembling the device with the new UI module.
Note: To ensure proper bonding, pressure needs to be
applied at least 3 seconds and assembly should be always
verified by using Phoenix keypad test.
