Audio concept
Audio HW architecture
The functional core of the audio hardware is built around two ASICs: Rapido engine ASIC and the mixed signal
ASIC AVilma. AVilma provides an interface for the transducers and the accessory connector. Because audio
amplifiers are also integrated into the ASIC, the only discrete electronics components needed for audio paths
are audio filtering components and EMC/ESD components.
There are three audio transducers:
• Dynamic earpiece
• Dynamic IHF speaker
• Microphone
In addition to the audio transducers, AVilma also provides an output for the dynamic vibra component. All
galvanic audio accessories are connected to the AV accessory connector A Bluetooth audio and FM radio
module, which is connected to the Rapido ASIC supports Bluetooth audio and FM radio functionality.

Internal microphone
The internal microphone is used for HandPortable (HP) and Internal HandsFree (IHF) call modes.
An analogue electret microphone is connected to EM ASIC’s (N2200) Mic1P input via asymmetric electrical
connection.
