Cover keyboard
Cover keyboard domes are assembled on 1NP UI-FLEX. Keyboard matrix consists also SEND, END and two SW
keys that are located on both sides of PDA display.
1NP UI-FLEX is assembled to the chassis part of phone. If there’s failure on these parts, whole chassis assy
has to be replaced.

Col 0-3 and Row 0-6 are filtered with ASIP Z4502.
Power key is also placed on the UI FPC module 1NP. It connected directly to EM ASIC N2200 PWRONX PIN
PDA keyboard
PDA keyboard pads are placed directly on the system/RF module. System/RF module includes also side keys
(volume keys and 2-position camera key).
Display and keyboard backlights
The device uses SMPS LED driver to drive cover display, PDA display and cover keyboard LED’s.
In cover display, there is four white LED´s connected in series (LED´s are located in display module)
In PDA display, there is 3 + 3 white LED´s connected in series (LED´s are located in display module)
Current mirror is controlling that equal current is flown in both branches
In cover keyboard, there is 3+3 leds connected in series (LED´s are located in UI-FPC 1NP)
Display LED brightness can be controlled with PWM signal (0-100%, ~293Hz). Cover keyboard LEDs can be
turned OFF separately.
In PDA keyboard there is EL (electroluminescent) lamp used. Needed EL driver (N4400) and related
components are located on system/ RF module.
