User Guide
BT Clk is 38.4MHz signal from Ahne ASIC to BT module.
Bluetooth
Bluetooth provides a fully digital link for communication between a master unit and one or more slave units.
The system provides a radio link that offers a high degree of flexibility to support various applications and
product scenarios. Data and control interface for a low power RF module is provided. Data rate is regulated
between the master and the slave.
The device Bluetooth is based on BC4 ROM1.0RDL BT chip.
USB
USB (Universal Serial Bus) provides a wired connectivity between host PC and peripheral devices.
USB is a differential serial bus for USB devices. USB controller (RAP) supports USB specification revision 2.0
with full speed USB (12 Mbps). The device is connected to the USB host through the system connector. The
USB bus is hot plugged capable, which means that USB devices may be plugged in/out at any time.
Camera
The device uses SMIA85 1.3Mpix camera module. It is 1.3Mpix camera with sensor resolution to be specified.
Figure 34 shows the block diagram where CCP bus is used to transfer image data from camera to the engine.
Bi-directional control bus is SW implemented I2C interface. External camera regulator (VIO level 1.8V) N3300
powers digital parts of the camera.
Digital control CAMVCTRL enables the regulator. Analog parts of the camera are powered by external regulator
N3301.
CAM_ENABLE_X signal (Vctrl) is used for activating the camera module. When Vctrl is turned on High level, the
camera module enters the operation mode. When Vctrl is turned on Low level, the camera module enters
the power off mode. CAMCLK signal feeds system clock for camera module.
IrDA
The device supports data connectivity via the Infra Red link. The IR interface is implemented using GENIO
port of RAP.
Main external component is the IR module. The data rate supported will be 1.152Mbit. The maximum
operating distance of IrDA is approximately 1meter.
IR module is RPM921. It contains Rx part and TX part. Main components of Rx part are photo diode and
amplifier and comparator.
Photo diode conducts when it receives IR light. signal from photo diode is amplified and compared and fed
to RxD output. Tx part contains transmitter LED.
LED is controlled by TxD input. Anode of IR LED is connected directly to VBAT via 4.7 ohms current limit resistor
R4490.
Supply voltage of IR module is connected to VAUX. VIO is connected to Vlogic pin and it defines I/O voltages
of IR module. The shut down pin SD can power off the module.
