Select your old phone from the list of found devices. 5. If asked, create a passcode for this connection (such as 123), then select OK. 6. Follow the instructions shown on both phones.
Use your phone offline In places where you're not allowed to make or receive calls, you can still use your phone to play games or listen to music, if you switch the on. flight profile Switch the device off when mobile phone use is not allowed or when it may cause interference or danger, for example, in aircraft, near medical equipment, fuel, chemicals, or blasting areas. 1. Select Menu > Settings > Profiles. 2. Select Flight > Activate.

Call several people at the same time Want to tell your great news to all your friends? Forward calls to your voicemail or another phone number Your phone is ringing, but you can't answer? Let the call go to your voicemail, or forward it to another number. Call forwarding is a network service. 1. Select Menu > Settings > Call > Call divert. 2. Select when to forward the incoming voice calls: All voice calls — Forward all calls. If busy — Forward when busy. If not answered — Forward when not answered.
Prevent making or receiving calls Keep your phone bill under control by preventing certain types of calls. You can prevent, for example, incoming calls while you're abroad. Call barring is a network service. 1. Select Menu > Settings and Security. 2. Select Call barr. service and an option. 3. Select Activate, then type in the barring password you have received from your service provider.
Contacts Save a name and phone number Add new contacts to your phone. Select Menu > Contacts and Add new. Add or edit contact details 1. Select Menu > Contacts and Names, then select a contact. Move or copy contacts to your SIM card Want to use your SIM card in another phone, but still have access to your contacts? By default, contacts are stored in the phone memory, but you can copy your contacts to a SIM card. Select Menu > Contacts. Send a message to a group of people Would you like to send the same message to all your family members? Create a contact group of them in your phone, and you can send the message to all of them at the same time. 1. Select Menu > Messaging. 2. Select Create message. 3. Write your message, then select Continue. 4. To select a group, select Contact groups. 5. Select Send.

Clear browsing history Select Menu > Internet. A cache is a memory location that is used to store data temporarily. If you have, or have tried to, access confidential info or a secure service, requiring passwords, clear the cache after each use. Clear the cache or cookies While browsing a website, select Options > Tools > Clear the cache or Clear cookies. Prevent cookies from being stored Select Options > Settings > Security > Cookies > Reject.
Connectivity Connect to a wireless headset Want to keep working at your computer during a call? Use a wireless headset. You can also answer a call, even if your phone's not directly at hand. Select Menu > Settings > Connectivity > Bluetooth. 1. Select Bluetooth > On. 2. Switch the headset on. 3. On your phone, select Conn. to audio acc.. 4. Select the headset. 5. You may need to type in a passcode (such as 1234). See 6.
Protect your phone Do you want to control who can find and connect to your phone when Bluetooth is on? Select Menu > Settings > Connectivity > Bluetooth. Prevent others from finding your phone Select Phone visibility > Hidden. When your phone is hidden, others can't find it. However, paired devices can still connect to your phone. Switch Bluetooth off Select Bluetooth > Off. Do not pair with or accept connection requests from an unknown device. This helps protect your phone from harmful content.
Copy content between your phone and a computer You can use a USB cable to copy your photos and other content between your phone and a compatible computer. 1. Connect your phone to a computer with a compatible USB cable. 2. Select a mode: Nokia Suite — Nokia Suite is installed on your computer. Media transfer — Nokia Suite is not installed on your computer. If you want to connect to a home entertainment system or printer, use this mode. Mass storage — Nokia Suite is not installed on your computer.
Protect your phone Lock your phone Want to stop others using your phone? Create a security code, and set your phone to lock itself automatically when you're not using it. Select Menu > Settings. Set the phone to lock the keys and screen Select Phone > Security keyguard > On. You need the security code to unlock the phone. Set a personalised security code 1. SelectSecurity > Access codes > Change security code. 2. Type in the preset security code 12345. 3. Type in a new code.
Password protect your memory card Want to protect your memory card against unauthorised use? You can set a password to protect the content. 1. Select Menu > Applications > Gallery. 2. Select and hold the memory card, then select Mem. card opt.. 3. Select Set password, then type in a password. Keep the password secret and in a safe place, separate from the memory card.
Format a memory card Want to delete all content from your memory card? When you format a memory card, all the data on it is deleted. 1. Select Menu > Applications > Gallery. 2. Select and hold the memory card, then select Mem. card opt.. 3. Select Format m. card.
Prepare your phone for recycling If you buy a new phone, or otherwise want to dispose of your phone, Nokia recommends that you recycle your phone. Beforehand, remove all personal info and content from your phone. Remove all content and restore settings to the original values 1. About phone software updates Stay in step with the beat – update your phone software to get new and enhanced features for your phone. Updating the software may also improve your phone performance. It is recommended that you back up your personal data before updating your phone software. Warning: If you install a software update, you cannot use the device, even to make emergency calls, until the installation is completed and the device is restarted.
Update phone software using your PC Update your phone software with the Nokia Suite PC app. You can also back up the pictures and other stuff in your phone to your computer. You need a compatible PC, a high-speed internet connection, and a compatible USB cable to connect your phone to the PC. To get more info and to download the app, go to www.nokia.com/ support.

Select Menu > Settings and Phone > Phone updates. 1. To check if there is an update, select Downl. ph. sw. 2. If you encounter problems, contact your network service provider.
Restore original settings If your phone is not working properly, you can reset some settings to their original values. 1. End all calls and connections. 2. Select Menu > Settings and Rest. fact. sett. > Settings only. 3. Type in the security code. After restoring the original settings, your phone switches off and then on again. This may take longer than usual.
Access codes PIN or PIN2 code These protect your SIM against unauthorised use or are required to access some features. (4-8 digits) You can set your phone to ask for the PIN code when you switch it on. If not supplied with your card or you forget the codes, contact your service provider. If you type in the code incorrectly three times in a row, you need to unblock the code with the PUK or PUK2 code. PUK or PUK2 code (8 digits) IMEI number (15 digits) These are required to unblock a PIN or PIN2 code.
If you forget the code and your phone is locked, your phone will require service. Additional charges may apply, and all the personal data in your phone may be deleted.
