■ Audio troubleshooting
Earpiece doesn't work
Check earpiece (B100),
springs and PWB
contacts from original
upper lid. Check also
earpiece gasket. Check
flex.
Change faulty part
(earpiece, flex, UI-
shield).
Retest.
Working?
Change upper lid
module. Working?
Change original upper lid
module back.
Set Phoenix Audio
Routing from a known
working MIC input MIC1
(HP, Int) or MIC2 (Ext.
XMIC) to HP OUT.
Ensure the correct MIC
bias is on.
Measure DC voltage
between earpiece
(B100) pads
and GND. Is it
~1.4V?
Check audio path from
UEME to earpiece pads.
Check L2100 and dual
resistors R2100 and
R2101. Change
components if needed.
Retest.
NO
No DC voltage seen.
Are audio signals
from UEME to
earpiece pads OK?
Check audio path from
UEME to earpiece pads.
Check L2100 and dual
resistors R2100 and
R2101. Change
components if needed.
Retest.
UEME D2200 FAULT?
Fault is in non-
reworkable component.
Refer to current BER
handling guidance.
Does audio work
during a call?
YES
StUF D2800 Fault. Fault is in
non-reworkable component.
Refer to current BER handling
guidance.
NO
END
NO No audio signal
DC bias OK
Audio signals OK
