User Guide

If “No version information available” is present in the
Version Information
window, it might either be a
Phoenix
connection problem BT ASIC or the BT ASIC is not working. See case 1 in Bluetooth troubleshooting
(page 3–45).
2. After getting the version information, click Run to do a quick check on the BT ASIC. The results of each
self-test will display in the
Self Tests
window. If any test fails, BT ASIC is not working properly. Change BT
ASIC.
3. After passing the self-test, setup the SB-6 BT box, key in the BT box’s device address into
Counterpart BT Device Address.
4. Click Run BER Test to run the BER loopback test.
See the BER result in the
BER Test Results
window. Since this is a “go no-go” testing, make sure the test-
jig / coupler is set up right. It is recommended to run a couple of “good” phones in order to get better
correlation. The acceptance criteria is BER<0.1%.
5. If the phone’s BT sensitivity is not good or if the setup is not calibrated (correlated) right, you will see the
%BER > 0.1% which results in Error. Go back to make sure the setup is correct (correlated with a golden
phone), then see case 2 in Bluetooth troubleshooting (page 3–45).
If the phone is placed too far away or the BT TX or RX has problem, you might see the following error
message. See case 2 of Bluetooth troubleshooting (page 3–45).
