Browse pages
After you make a connection to the service, you can start browsing its pages. The
function of the phone keys may vary in different services. Follow the text guides
on the phone display. For more information, contact your service provider.
If GPRS is selected as the data bearer, is shown on the top left of the display
during browsing. If you receive a call or a text message, or make a call during an
(E)GPRS connection, is shown on the top left of the display to indicate that
the (E)GPRS connection is suspended (on hold). After a call, for example, the
phone tries to reconnect the (E)GPRS connection.
Use the phone keys while browsing
• Use the spinner to browse through the page.
• To select a highlighted item, press the call key, or select Options to select the
option for opening the link.
• To enter letters, numbers, or special characters, press the middle selection
key, and select the characters one by one from the bar.
Options while browsing
Select Options, and the following options may be available: Shortcuts, Home,
Add bookmark, Bookmarks, Page options, History, Downloads, Save to folder,
Other options, Reload, and Quit. The service provider may also offer other options.
Select Scroll right-left or Scroll up-down, to browse the content of the page.
Direct calling
The browser supports functions that you can access while browsing. You can
make a voice call, send touch tones while a voice call is in progress, and save a
name and a phone number from a page.
Cache memory
To empty the cache, do one of the following:
• While browsing, select Options > Other options > Clear the cache
• In the standby mode, select Menu > Web > Clear the cache.
A cache is a memory location that is used to store data temporarily. If you have
tried to access or have accessed confidential information requiring passwords,
empty the cache after each use. The information or services you have accessed is
stored in the cache.
