3. Call functions
■ Make a call
1. Press and hold the middle selection key in the standby mode, and enter the
phone number, including the area code. To enter the phone number, scroll to
the desired digit in the character bar, and select it. Repeat this for each digit of
the phone number. If you enter an incorrect character, select Clear to delete it.
For international calls, enter the + character for the international access code,
the country code, the area code without the leading 1, if necessary, and the
phone number.
2. Press the call key to call the number.
3. Press the end key to end the call or to cancel the call attempt.
Make a call using contacts
To search for a name or phone number that you saved in Contacts, see "Search
for a contact," p. 29. Press the call key to call the number.
Call a recently dialed number
In the standby mode, press the call key once to access the list of up to 20
numbers that you last called or attempted to call. Scroll to the number or name
that you want, and press the call key to call the number.
Call your voice mailbox
In the standby mode, press and hold the middle selection key, select 1, and press
the call key. See also "Nokia Xpress audio messaging," p. 27. If this feature is
supported by the network, the indicator shows new voice messages. Select Listen
to call your voice mailbox number.
Make another call during a call (network service)
During a call, select Options > New call. Enter the phone number, or select Options >
Find to search for the phone number in the contacts. Select Call or the call key.
The first call is put on hold. To switch between the two calls, press the call key.
