Instant messaging (IM)
Save a group chat
1 From the group conversation screen, select Options > Save.
The Convers. name screen appears.
2 Enter the name you want to use for the group and select Options > Save.
Conversation saved appears.
Accept or reject invitations to group chat
When you receive an invitation to a group chat, the New invitation received
screen appears, with the user name of the sender displayed.
TO ACCEPT
1 Press Accept.
The Screen name screen appears, with your screen name displayed.
2 Select Options > OK.
Updating information appears, followed by a confirmation note.
TO REJECT
Press Reject. Invitation rejected appears.
End a group chat
1 From the Inst. messaging online menu, select Conversations.
2 Scroll to the group chat name, and select Options > End convers.
• IM SETTINGS
You can customize your IM settings, depending upon the IM service you have
selected. After you open IM, select Settings. The following options appear in the
display: Screen name, Auto login, Sort contacts, IM availability, and Settings.
Set up screen name
You can set up or revise a screen name that is 1–20 characters in length.
Note: You must enter at least one character for your screen name. A blank
screen name is not allowed. You must have a screen name to be able to join
a group chat.
1 From the Inst. messaging online or offline menu, select Settings > Screen name.
The Screen name screen appears.
2 Enter your screen name, and select Options > OK.
Screen name saved appears.
