10 Personalize rings and tones
• PROFILES
A profile is a group of settings you can use to
customize the way your phone works. You can
set your own preferences for these items:
• Ringing options
• Ringing tone
• Ringing volume
• Vibrating alert
• Message alert tone
• Keypad tones
• Warning tones
• Alert for
• Profile name (except for Normal)
Your phone comes with five profiles, and each can be customized:
• Normal (default setting)
• Silent
• Meeting
• Outdoor
• Pager
• SELECT A DIFFERENT PROFILE
1 Quickly tap the power key or select Menu > Profiles.
2 Select the profile you want to use.
Profile names are highlighted as you scroll through them.
• CUSTOMIZE A PROFILE
1 Select Menu > Profiles.
2 Select the desired profile in the list:
Select—Activates the currently highlighted profile.
Customize—Enables you to customize a profile by changing the current
settings. Press Select to view a list of options.
Timed—Allows you to set a time length for the expiration of a profile setting.
Note: When you change a setting in the current profile, it affects only that
profile. Normal settings do not change.
