For your safety For your safety Read these simple guidelines. Not following them may be dangerous or illegal. Read the complete user guide for further information. EMERGENCY CALLS Ensure the device is switched on and in service. Press the end key as many times as needed to clear the display and return to the main screen.

Phone at a glance In the standby mode, the scroll key instantly takes you to frequently-accessed menus: Scroll up or down to view the contacts list. Scroll right to view the calendar or network operator menu. Scroll left to quickly create a text message. Press the center of the scroll key to view the main menu or a selected submenu.
Phone at a glance ■ Phone menus Phone features are grouped according to function and are accessed through the main menus. Each main menu contains submenus and lists from which you can select or view items and customize your phone features. To access these menus and submenus, use the scroll method or a shortcut. To change your menu view from list to grid, select Menu > Options > Main menu view > List or Grid. Some features may not be available, depending on your network.
Phone at a glance ■ Lock code Your device has a security option allowing you to lock your phone with a code. When the code is set and turned on, no outgoing calls are allowed, and the menu cannot be accessed without entering the correct code first. This prevents unauthorized outgoing calls or access to any information stored on your device. The Security option is in the Settings menu. The first time you access the Security option, you must enter a lock code.
Set up your phone 2. Set up your phone ■ Antenna Your device has a fixed and extendable antenna located at the top of the phone with the fold closed. Hold the phone with the antenna area pointed up and over your shoulder. In the Nokia 6165i phone, the internal GPS antenna is activated when placing emergency calls or when On is selected from the Location info sharing menu (a network-dependent feature). See "Location info sharing," p. 60.
Set up your phone Remove the back cover 1. With the back of the phone facing you, push down on the back cover. 2. Slide the back cover toward the bottom of the phone and remove. Remove the battery After you have removed the back cover, insert your finger into the finger grip, and lift the battery from its compartment. Note: Always switch off the device, and disconnect the charger before removing the battery. UIM card slot Your phone has a UIM (CDMA SIM) card slot built into the mechanics.
Set up your phone Replace the back cover 1. Set the back cover on the phone with the cover tabs aligned with the slots in the phone. 2. Slide the back cover toward the top of the phone until the back cover is securely in place. Charge the battery Note: Before you use a charger with this device, check its model number. This device is intended for use when supplied with power from the AC-3 or AC-4 charger. 1. Plug the charger transformer into a standard wall outlet. 2.
Set up your phone 2. Insert the charger output plug into the CA-44 adapter jack. Insert the CA-44 plug into the jack on the bottom of the phone. Warning: Use only batteries, chargers, and enhancements approved by Nokia for use with this particular model. The use of any other types may invalidate any approval or warranty, and may be dangerous. ■ Switch your phone on or off 1. To switch your phone on or off, press and hold the end key for at least 4 seconds. 2.
Set up your phone • Use the keypad to enter numbers. • Press the call key to place a call. • Press the end key to end a call. You can also plug a compatible headset into the 2.5-mm headset jack on the right side of your phone to allow hands-free operation. See "Enhancement settings," p. 70. ■ Make a call Before making or receiving a call, fully extend the antenna. Keypad 1. Enter the phone number (including the area code), and press the call key.
Set up your phone ■ Answer calls Incoming call 1. With the fold open, press the call key, or select Answer to answer the call. 2. Press the end key to reject the call. Select Silence to mute the ringing tone, then Dismiss, or do nothing. The call is eventually diverted to voicemail. With your phone set to silent in the profiles menu, select Dismiss to divert the call to voicemail. 3. With the fold closed, press the volume key to mute the ringing tone.
Set up your phone To deactivate the loudspeaker during a call, with the fold open, select Normal. The loudspeaker is deactivated automatically when a call (or a call attempt) ends or when certain enhancements are connected. Call options Many of the options you can use during a call are network services. Check with your network operator for more information. 1. Select Options during a call to display the following options: Loudspeaker or Handset—Activate or deactivate the loudspeaker.
Text entry 3. Text entry You can use two methods for entering text and numbers: standard mode and predictive text mode. Select Clear to backspace the cursor and delete a character. Select and hold Clear to backspace continuously and delete characters. ■ Standard mode Standard mode is the only way to enter text in the contacts list and to rename caller groups. Text (Abc) • Press a key once to insert the first letter on the key, twice for the second letter, and so on.
Text entry Activate or deactivate 1. At any text entry screen, select Options > Dictionary on to activate or Dictionary off to deactivate. 2. If you are turning predictive text on, select the language of your choice. Text entry The following illustration shows how to enter the word Nokia with predictive text. With the English dictionary selected, press the following number keys one time only (6, 6, 5, 4, 2).
Messages 4. Messages If you have subscribed to a message network service, you can send and receive messages to compatible phones also subscribed to a message service. You can also send and receive multimedia and e-mail messages if supported by your network operator. You can make distribution lists that contain phone numbers and names from your contacts list. Your device supports the sending of text messages beyond the character limit of a single message.
Messages Insert number—Insert a phone number or find a phone number in the contacts list. Save message—Select Drafts to save the message in the drafts folder or Templates to save the message as one of your predefined templates in the templates folder. Exit editor—Exit the message editor. Use template—Insert a predefined template into your message. Insert smiley—Insert a smiley into your message.
Messages Reply to message 1. Select Menu > Messaging > Text messages > Inbox and your desired message, or when you receive a message, select Show. 2. Select Reply > Empty screen, Original text, Template, or one of the predefined answers; then compose your reply using the keypad. 3. After creating the reply, select Send. The sender’s phone number or e-mail is used as the default. Templates Templates are short, prewritten messages you can recall and insert into new text messages when you are short on time.
Messages Drafts—Stores messages created as drafts Saved text msgs.—Stores messages that you choose to archive, including unread ones Templates—Stores pictures and prewritten templates. Preloaded templates can be edited and customized. My folders—Allows you to organize your messages by creating custom folders and saving some of your messages here. Select Options > Add folder, Rename folder, or Delete folder to add a custom folder or rename or delete a folder you have created.
Messages 3. Select and mark the folders that have messages you want to delete: Inbox—Deletes all messages from the inbox folder Sent items—Deletes all messages from the sent items folder Outbox—Deletes all messages from the outbox folder Drafts—Deletes all messages from the drafts folder Archive—Deletes all messages from the archive folder User defined folders—Deletes all messages from the user defined folder 4. Select Done > Yes to empty the marked folder.
Messages Note: When the message memory is full, your phone cannot send or receive any new messages. To free up the memory, you can select Message overwriting to make your phone automatically replace old messages in the inbox and outbox folders when new ones arrive. Save sent messages > Always save, Always prompt, or Off Queue msgs. when digital unavailable > On, On prompt, or Off—Messages are stored in the outbox until they can be sent with digital service.
Messages You cannot receive multimedia messages if you have a call in progress, games or other applications running, or an active browsing session. Because delivery of multimedia messages can fail for a variety of reasons, do not rely solely upon them for essential communications. Multimedia message folders and options Select Menu > Messaging > Multimedia messages and from the following: Create message—Create and send multimedia messages. Inbox—Check for received multimedia messages.
Messages It takes more time to send a multimedia message than to send a text message. While the multimedia message is being sent, the animated indicator is displayed and you can use other functions on the phone. If there is an interruption while the message is being sent, the phone automatically tries to resend it a few times. If this fails, the message remains in the Outbox and you can try to manually resend it later. Check your Outbox for unsent messages.
Messages Multimedia message options Create message options When you create or reply to a multimedia message, some or all of the following options are available: Send to album—Send message to an online album. This is an online network service. Check with your service provider for more information. Insert > Image, Sound clip, or Video clip—Insert an image, sound clip, or video clip file from your Gallery. Open the desired folder, and select the file and Options > Options.
Messages More options > Message details—Show the details of your multimedia message. Exit editor—Exit the message editor. Insert smiley—Insert a smiley. Insert word or Edit word—Enter or edit the text of a new word that might not appear in the predictive text dictionary. This appears only when predictive text is on. Insert symbol—Insert a special character. This appears only when predictive text is on. Writing language—Choose the language you want to use.
Messages Delete multimedia messages If your message memory is full and you have more multimedia messages waiting at the network, blinks in the standby mode. Delete several messages to free memory. Delete a single multimedia message To delete a single multimedia message, you need to open it first. 1. Select Menu > Messaging > Multimedia messages 2. Select the folder containing the multimedia message you wish to delete. 3. Select the message you wish to delete and Options > Delete. 4.
Messages Yes—Allow all incoming messages. In home network—Allow incoming messages only if you are in the service provider’s home system. No—Block all incoming messages. Incoming multimedia messages To set how your phone retrieves incoming multimedia messages, select Menu > Messaging > Multimedia messages > Message settings > Incoming multimedia messages and one of the following: Retrieve—Sets the phone to automatically retrieve all multimedia messages.
Messages Add and remove contacts To add contacts, select Menu > Messaging > Distribution lists > the list > Add new. Add the contacts one by one. To remove contacts, select Menu > Messaging > Distribution lists > the list > Options > remove contact name. Manage distribution lists 1. Select Menu > Messaging > Distribution lists. 2. Lists you have created appear in the display. Scroll to the list you wish to modify; select Options and one of the following: Create new list—Create a new distribution list.
Messages Listen to voice messages After you set up voice mail, in the standby mode, press and hold 1; or select Menu > Messaging > Voice messages > Listen to voice messages to dial the voice mailbox number. When you connect and the prerecorded greeting begins, follow the automated instructions to listen to your voice messages. Automate voice mail Voice mail services vary by network operator. The following instructions are examples of common operations.
Messages Insert dialing codes Press * repeatedly to cycle through dialing codes. When the desired code appears in the display, pause briefly, and the code is inserted into the dialing string. The following dialing codes are available: *—Bypasses a set of instructions p—Pauses for 2.
Log 5. Log Log stores information about the last 30 missed, received, or dialed calls. It also displays the total duration of all calls. When the number of calls exceed the maximum, the most recent call replaces the oldest. When viewing missed, received, or dialed calls, the menu options are the same: Time of call—Display the date and time of the call. Send message—Send a message to the number. Use number—Edit the number and associate a name with the number.
Log ■ Time of call You can make or receive up to five calls to or from the same number and view the time each call occurred. Your clock must be set for this feature to work accurately. 1. While viewing a missed, received, or dialed call, select Options > Time of call. 2. Scroll down to view the most recent call times from this number. 3. Select Back to return to the options list. ■ Clear log lists You can delete any missed, dialed, or received calls from phone memory.
Log Note: The actual invoice for calls and services from your service provider may vary, depending on network features, rounding off for billing, taxes and so forth. Select Menu > Log > Data/fax calls and one of the following options: Last sent data/fax—View the size (KB) of the last sent data or fax call. Last received data/fax—View the size (KB) of the last received data or fax call. All sent data/fax—View the size (KB) of all sent data and fax calls.
Contacts 6. Contacts The contacts list can hold up to 500 contacts with multiple numbers and text notes for each contact. The amount of numbers and text entries you can save may vary, depending on the length and total number of entries in the contacts list. ■ Add new contacts To access the contacts list in the standby mode, press the right selection key, or select Menu > Contacts > Names if the right selection key on your device has a network operator menu. Save contact name and number 1.
Contacts Change default number You can change the default (primary) number for the contact entry. 1. In the standby mode, scroll down to select the contact entry you want to change, and select Details. 2. Scroll to the number you want to set as default, and select Options > Set as default. Caller groups You can add contacts list entries to any of five caller groups, and assign a unique ringing tone or graphic to that group.
Contacts Change 1-touch dialing numbers 1. Select Menu > Contacts > 1-touch dialing. 2. Scroll to the 1-touch dialing entry you want to change, and select Options > Change. 3. Enter the new number and a name for the entry, or select Find to retrieve a number from the contacts list; select OK. Delete 1-touch dialing numbers 1. Select Menu > Contacts > 1-touch dialing. 2. Scroll to the 1-touch dialing entry you want to delete, and select Options > Delete > Yes.
Contacts Dial a number 1. In the standby mode, press and hold the right selection key with the fold open, or press and hold the voice key with the fold closed. 2. When you hear several beeps and Speak now appears, release the key. 3. Pronounce the voice tag clearly into the microphone. When the device finds the voice tag, Found: appears, and the device automatically dials the number. If the device does not locate a number or recognize the voice tag, No match found appears. Assign voice tags 1.
Contacts Add voice tag or Voice tag—Add a voice tag to the contact if no voice tag assigned, or select Playback, Change, or Delete if a voice tag is assigned. Send bus. card—Send the contact as a business card to another device. Add to group—Add the contact to an existing caller group. 1-touch dialing—Add the contact to your 1-touch dialing list. 3. Edit the option to your preference, and select OK.
Contacts Configure settings You can select how the contacts appear in your contacts list and view the amount of used or available memory in your device. Select Menu > Contacts > Settings > Scrolling view to change the view of the name list or Memory status to view the used and remaining device memory. ■ Send and receive contacts You can send and receive an entry in your contacts list using text messaging, if supported by your network operator.
Camera 7. Camera You can take photos and record video clips with the built-in 1.0 megapixel camera. The camera lens is on the front of the device. The camera produces photos in JPEG format and video clips in H.264 (SubQCIF) format. When taking and using images or video clips, obey all laws and respect local customs as well as privacy and legitimate rights of others.
Camera Img. sequence on—Take a series of six pictures in sequence, or set to Img. sequence off. Open Gallery —Open the gallery to view saved images, videos, and recordings. Settings—Select options in Image quality, Video clip quality, Video clip length, Camera sounds, Self-timer lights, Default title, Image and video storage, or Default mode.
Camera 3. Select Back to record another video or Options and one of the following: Still image—Go back to standard photo mode. Zoom—Zoom in closer before recording a video or get a closer look at the recorded video; scroll to navigate around the photo. Mute or Unmute —Turn the sound on or off. Flash on/Flash off—Turn the flash on or off. View previous—View the previous video. Open Gallery—Open the video clip folder of the gallery.
Camera Settings Select Menu > Camera > Options > Settings to change the settings in the camera mode. Select one of the following options: Image quality—Define file compression when saving the image. Select High, Normal, or Basic. High uses the least file compression and provides the best image quality but takes more memory. Video clip quality—Define the quality of a video clip. Select High, Medium, or Low. Video clip length—Select Default or Maximum (up to 3 minutes).
Gallery 8. Gallery You can save pictures, video clips, recordings, and ringing tones to folders in the Gallery and add new folders. You can download images and tones using MMS, SMS, mobile Internet sites, or Nokia PC Suite. Note: Only compatible devices offering compatible multimedia message features can receive and display multimedia messages. Your device supports a digital rights management system to protect content you have acquired.
Gallery Add folder—Create a new folder. Memory status—Check the available memory for the device handset. Activation key list—View the list of available activation keys. You can delete activation keys if desired. Mark or Unmark—Mark or unmark folders to be deleted or moved. Mark all—Mark all folders to be deleted. ■ Fun frames and clip art In the gallery, you can select photos and clip art and save them as screen savers and wallpaper.
Media 9. Media ■ Media player With the media player you can download, view, and play compatible images, audio and video files, and animated images from a variety of sources. The media player enables you to play streaming video and audio from a network server. Streaming is a network service and requires network support. Check the availability of these services, pricing, and tariffs with your network operator or the service provider whose service you want to use.
Media The recording is given a default name and saved to the Recordings list. The default location of the Recordings list is the Recordings folder in the Gallery. After you have made a recording, select Options > Play last recorded to replay the recording and Send last recorded > Via infrared, Via Bluetooth, or Via multimedia to send the recording to a compatible phone. These options are only available during the current recording session.
Media Activate an equalizer set Select Menu > Media > Equalizer, scroll to the desired setting, and select Activate. Create a custom equalizer set 1. Select Menu > Media > Equalizer. 2. Scroll to Set %N or Set %N, and select Options > Edit. The selected set appears in the display with the bar on the far left highlighted. The bars adjust frequencies, from the lowest (the leftmost bar) to the highest (the rightmost bar). The higher the indicator on a particular bar, the more that frequency is amplified. 3.

Settings Use this menu to change profiles, themes, main display settings, mini display settings, tone settings, time and date settings, call settings, phone settings, voice commands, enhancement settings, security settings, application settings, network settings, network services, and restore factory settings. ■ Profiles Profiles define how your device reacts when you receive a call or message and how your keypad sounds when you press a key.
Settings ■ Main display The main display is inside the cover. Standby mode settings You can choose settings for the display of the standby screen on the main display. Wallpaper Select Menu > Settings > Main display > Standby mode settings > Wallpaper and one of the following: On—Activate wallpaper on your phone. Off—Deactivate wallpaper on your phone. Wallpapers—Choose an image or slide set from the Gallery for wallpaper. Select Open to browse the Images folder.
Settings ■ Mini display The mini display is outside the cover. Wallpaper Select Menu > Settings > Mini display > Wallpaper and one of the following: On—Activate wallpaper on your phone. Off—Deactivate wallpaper on your phone. Wallpapers—Choose an image or slide set from the Gallery for wallpaper. Select Open to browse the Images folder. Select the image or slide set of your choice. Or, select Open Camera > Capture > Set to select a new photo for wallpaper.
Settings ■ Tone settings You can adjust the ringing volume, keypad tones, and more for the active profile. See "Customize a profile," p. 56 for more information on profile settings. Select Menu > Settings > Tones and one of the following: Incoming call alert—Select how the device notifies you of an incoming call. Ringing tone—Select the ringing tone for incoming calls. Incoming call video > Off or Incoming call video—Indicate whether to replace the default audio ringing tone with the selected video.
Settings If you use the Auto-update of date & time option while outside the digital network, you may be prompted to enter the time manually. Network time replaces the time and date when you reenter your digital network. If your battery has been removed or has discharged outside the digital network, you may be prompted to enter the time manually (when the battery is replaced or recharged, and you are still outside of the digital network).
Settings Automatic redial Occasionally, your network may experience heavy traffic, resulting in a fast busy signal when you dial. With automatic redial activated, your device redials the number (number of times is specified by the network), and notifies you when the network is available. Select Menu > Settings > Call > Automatic redial > On or Off. 1-touch dialing To activate or deactivate 1-touch dialing, select Menu > Settings > Call > 1-touch dialing > On or Off. See "Set up 1-touch dialing," p. 42.
Settings 5. Enter the required information (access number or prefix and card number), and select OK to confirm your entries. 6. Select Card name > enter the card name > OK. Select a calling card You can select one of the calling cards for which you have saved information. The selected card information is used when you make a card call. 1. Select Menu > Settings > Call > Calling card. 2. Enter your lock code, and select OK. See "Security settings," p. 71. 3.
Settings Data transfer To view the transmission speed when sending or receiving data and fax calls, select Menu > Settings > Call > Data/fax calls > Data rate display > Graphic or Off. Call summary To display the time spent on a call when you hang up, select Menu > Settings > Call > Call summary > On or Off. Show call time To see the call time on the display screen after each call, select Menu > Settings > Call > Show call time on display > On or Off.
Settings Navigation key If supported by your wireless service provider, you can set the features that are activated when you press the scroll key. 1. Select Menu > Settings > Phone > Navigation key. 2. Highlight the scroll up, scroll down, scroll right, or scroll left arrow; select Change. 3. Select a function to assign to the action. Memory status To view the size of available memory on your device, select Menu > Settings > Phone > Memory status.
Settings Dictionary mode is not available for entering welcome note text. 1. Select Menu > Settings > Phone > Welcome note. 2. Select Options to choose a writing language or insert a smiley. 3. Enter a note (up to 44 characters). Press * to display and select from available special characters. 4. When you are finished, select Save. Select Options > Delete to delete the previous text and begin creating another welcome note. Help text activation Your device displays brief descriptions for most menu items.
Settings 4. Select Start, and speak the voice tag clearly into the microphone. Do not select Quit unless you want to cancel the recording. The device replays and saves the recorded tag. with assigned voice tags. appears next to commands Activate a voice command After you have associated a voice tag with a function in your device, to issue a command, speak the voice tag. 1. In the standby mode, press and hold the right selection key or voice key. 2.
Settings Since devices with Bluetooth connectivity communicate using radio waves, your phone and the other device do not need to be in direct line-of-sight. The two devices only need to be within 10 meters (30 feet) of each other. The connection can be subject to interference from obstructions such as walls or other electronic devices. Whether used actively or in the background, Bluetooth wireless technology consumes the battery and reduces the operating time of the phone.
Settings Paired devices are placed in your paired device list. You can view the list even when Bluetooth connectivity is not active or when the devices in the list are not available for connection. Select Menu > Settings > Connectivity > Bluetooth > Paired devices > Options and one of the following: Assign short name—Give a nickname to the selected device (visible to you only). Auto-conn.
Settings Send data You can use other phone menus to send various types of data to other devices with Bluetooth connectivity. For example, you can send a video clip from the Video clips folder of the Gallery menu. See the appropriate sections of the user guide for information about sending different types of data.
Settings Connection indicator • When is shown continuously, the IR connection is activated and your phone is ready to send or receive data using its IR port. • When blinks, your phone is trying to connect to the other device or a connection has been lost. Data cable transfer To transfer data from your phone to a compatible PC or from a compatible PC to your phone, use a CA-53 USB data cable. To disconnect the cable from the device, hold the connector, and remove the cable.
Settings Hearing aid To use a T-coil hearing aid with your device, select Menu > Settings > Enhancements > Hearing aid > T-coil hearing aid mode > On or Off. Headset Important: The headset may affect your ability to hear sounds around you. Do not use the headset in situations that may endanger your safety. Select the option of your choice to enter the submenu and modify its settings. Default profile—Choose the profile you want automatically activated with a headset connected.
Settings Phone lock The phone lock feature protects your device from unauthorized outgoing calls or unauthorized access to information stored in the device. With the phone lock activated, Phone locked is displayed each time you turn your device on or off. With the device locked, calls may still be possible to the official emergency number programmed into your device. 1. Select Menu > Settings > Security. 2. Enter the lock code, and select OK. See "Change lock code," p. 72. 3.

Settings ■ Network services The following features are network services. See "Network services," p. 5. Store a feature code 1. Select Menu > Settings > Network services > Network feature setting. 2. Enter the feature code from your network operator (for example, *633), and select OK. 3. Select the type of service that matches the feature code you entered (for example, Call forwarding). The activated feature code is now stored in your device, and you are returned to the Feature code: field.
Settings 2. During a call, select Answer, or press the call key or voice key to answer the waiting call. The first call is put on hold. 3. Press the end key to end the active call. Send caller ID If your network operator supports this feature, you can allow or prevent your number from appearing on the receiving caller ID. Organizer Your device contains features to help organize your everyday life, including an alarm clock, calendar, notes, to-do list, calculator, countdown timer, and stopwatch. ■ Alarm clock If the alarm time arrives with the device switched off, the device switches itself on and starts sounding the alarm tone. If you select Stop, the device asks whether you want to activate the device for calls. Select No to switch off the device or Yes to make and receive calls.
Organizer With the device on, select Stop to shut the alarm off or Snooze. With Snooze selected, the alarm stops for 10 minutes, and Snooze on appears in the display. If you do not press a key, the alarms stops (snoozes) for 10 minutes, then sounds again. You can also select Menu > Organizer > Alarm clock > Snooze time-out to reset the snooze time. Turn an alarm off Select Menu > Organizer > Alarm clock > Alarm time > Off.
Organizer View notes (day view) After you have created calendar notes, you can view them. 1. Select Menu > Organizer > Calendar. 2. Scroll to the date containing the note that appears in bold type, and select View. Options while viewing a list of notes 1. Select Options while viewing the header of a day’s note to display the following: Make a note—Create a new note for the selected date. Delete—Delete the note. Use detail—Use or save the number, e-mail address, or Web address Edit—Edit the note.

Enter the number for the recipient, or select Find to retrieve a number from the contacts list; select Send. Receive calendar notes When you receive a calendar note in calendar-to-calendar format, your device displays Calendar note received. To view calendar notes, select Show, and if necessary, scroll to view the entire message.
Organizer View a to-do note 1. Select Menu > Organizer > To-do list. 2. Highlight a to-do note, and select Options and one of the following: Add—Add another note. Delete—Delete the note. Mark note as done or Mark as not done—Mark a note or task as completed or not; if completed, no more reminders will follow. Sort by deadline—Sort the notes according to their deadline. Send—Send the note to another device, as a text or multimedia message, or as a calendar note to another compatible device.
Organizer 1. Select Menu > Organizer > Calculator. 2. Enter the first number in the calculation. Press # for a decimal point if necessary. To change the sign, select Options > Change sign, or scroll up or down. To perform a square or square root calculation, select Options > Square or Square root. To cycle through the add (+), subtract (-), multiply (*), and divide (/) characters, press *. 3. Enter the second number in your calculation. 4.
Organizer Set the timer 1. Select Menu > Organizer > Timer > Normal timer, Interval timer, or Settings. Normal timer measures the time for tasks that have one period (timer name). Interval timer saves sets of times with more than one period. 2. Enter the time (in hh:mm:ss format), and select OK. 3. Enter a note for the timer, and select Start. appears in the standby mode with the timer set.
Organizer Lap timing—You can use the lap time function when you want to track how long it takes to complete each cycle or lap. Select Lap to note the lap time. The clock stops, then starts immediately from zero. The lap time appears below the running time. Each time you select Lap, the new measured time appears at the beginning of the list. 2. Select Stop to end the timing and display the total time or Stop > Options > Start or Reset to continue or reset timing.
Mobile Web 12. Mobile Web Minibrowser is a network service. See "Network services," p. 5. Your device has a built-in browser you can use to connect to selected services on the mobile Internet. If your network operator supports this feature, you can view weather reports, check news or flight times, view financial information, and much more. The Web browser on your device can display content based on the Wireless Application Protocol (WAP).
Mobile Web ■ Navigate the mobile Internet Since your device screen is much smaller than a computer screen, mobile Internet content is displayed differently than you may be accustomed to seeing. This section contains guidelines for using the keys to navigate a WAP site. Phone keys • Press the power key to display the minibrowser home screen. • Scroll up or down to browse the WAP site. • Select an item. • To enter letters and numbers, press a key from 0–9. • To enter special characters, press *.
Extras 13. Extras Challenge yourself or a friend to one of the fun games in your device. Some menus listed are network services. Contact your network operator for more information. To download games or applications, select either the Games or Collection menu. Important: Only install and use applications and other software from sources that offer adequate security and protection against harmful software. ■ Games Select Menu > Extras > Games to display the games on your device.

PC connectivity ■ USB data transfer You can transfer data such as music, photos, and videos from your device to a compatible PC or from a compatible PC to your device using a DKU-2 USB data cable or the CA-53 data cable. The cable is connected to your device correctly when the arrowhead points toward the display screen. Disconnect the USB data cable from the device to make a call.
PC connectivity 10. Highlight USB device, and click OK. The pop-up window displays Safe to Remove Hardware, with The ‘USB Device’ device can now be safely removed from the system. Select OK. Important: To ensure that all memory card operations are completed in a controlled way, do not unplug the connectivity cable until Windows notifies you that it is safe to do so. Uncontrolled completion of the memory card operations may cause the memory card and the information stored on it to become corrupted.
PC connectivity Remember to make back-up copies of all important data. Only install and use applications and other software from sources that offer adequate protection against harmful software. There may be restrictions on using Bluetooth technology in some locations. Check with your local authorities or service provider. Do not point the IR (infrared) beam at anyone's eyes or allow it to interfere with other IR devices. Infrared devices are Class 1 laser products.
Enhancements 15. Enhancements Check the model number of any charger before use with this device. This device is intended for use when supplied with power from the AC-3 or AC-4 charger. Warning: Use only batteries, chargers and enhancements approved by Nokia for use with this particular model. The use of any other types may invalidate any approval or warranty, and may be dangerous. For availability of approved enhancements, please check with your dealer.
Battery information 16. Battery information ■ Charging and discharging Your device is powered by a rechargeable battery. The full performance of a new battery is achieved only after two or three complete charge and discharge cycles. The battery can be charged and discharged hundreds of times, but it will eventually wear out. When the talk and standby times are noticeably shorter than normal, replace the battery.

Su teléfono ■ Accesos directos Dependiendo de su operador de red y del número de modelo de su teléfono, algunos o todos los accesos directos pueden aparecer en el modo standby. En el modo standby, la tecla de desplazamiento le lleva enseguida a los menús de acceso frecuente: Desplácese hacia arriba o abajo para ver la lista de contactos. Desplácese hacia la derecha para ver la agenda o el menú del operador de red. Desplácese hacia la izquierda para crear un mensaje de texto de manera rápida.

Su teléfono Textos de ayuda Muchas de las funciones tienen descripciones breves (texto de ayuda) que puede ver en la pantalla. Para ver estas descripciones, antes debe activar los textos de ayuda de la siguiente manera. Seleccione Menú > Config. > Teléfono > Activación textos de ayuda > Activar o Desactivar. Desplácese a una función y espere unos catorce segundos. Desplácese hacia abajo para ver toda la descripción o seleccione Atrás para salir.

Sujete el teléfono con el área de la antena hacia arriba y sobre el hombro. En el teléfono Nokia 6165i, la antena GPS interna se activa cuando realiza llamadas de emergencia o cuando Activar se selecciona del menú Compartir información de ubicación (función que depende del operador).
Programar su teléfono Retirar la cubierta posterior 1. Con la parte frontal del teléfono hacia abajo, presione el botón de liberación de la cubierta posterior. 2. Deslice la cubierta posterior hacia abajo y retírela del teléfono. Retirar la batería Tras retirar la cubierta posterior, coloque su dedo en la ranura de agarre y levante la batería de su compartimiento. Nota: Siempre apague el dispositivo y desconecte el cargador antes de retirar la batería.
Programar su teléfono Colocar la cubierta posterior 1. Fije la cubierta posterior en el teléfono con las lengüetas de la cubierta alineadas con las ranuras del teléfono. 2. Deslice la cubierta posterior hacia la parte superior del teléfono hasta que la cubierta posterior quede en su lugar. Cargar la batería Nota: Antes de usar un cargador con este dispositivo, verifique su número de modelo. Este dispositivo debe ser utilizado usando como fuente de carga el cargador AC-3 o AC-4. 1.
Programar su teléfono 2. Inserte el conector del cargador en la clavija del adaptador CA-44. Inserte el conector del CA-44 en el conector redondeado para clavija en la base del teléfono. Advertencia: Utilice sólo baterías, cargadores y accesorios aprobados por Nokia para este modelo particular de teléfono. El uso de cualquier otro tipo de batería, cargador o accesorio puede anular cualquier aprobación o garantía y puede ser peligroso. ■ Encender o apagar su teléfono 1.
Programar su teléfono Con el auricular conectado, puede realizar, contestar y finalizar llamadas como de costumbre: • Use el teclado para ingresar números. • Pulse la tecla Llamar para realizar una llamada. • Pulse la tecla Finalizar para finalizar una llamada. También puede conectar un auricular compatible en el conector de 2,5 mm en el lado derecho de su teléfono para usar la funcionalidad manos libres. Consulte "Configuraciones de accesorios", pág. 180.
Programar su teléfono 2. Con el primer participante en línea, seleccione Opc. > Agregar nva. llam. 3. Ingrese el número telefónico del segundo participante o seleccione Buscar para recuperar un número de la lista de contactos. Seleccione Llamar. La primera llamada queda retenida. 4. Cuando el segundo participante conteste, pulse la tecla Llamar para conectar las llamadas. 5. Para finalizar la llamada de multiconferencia, seleccione Opc. > Finalizar llamadas o pulse la tecla Finalizar.
Programar su teléfono Cuando el bloqueo del teclado está activado, aun es posible realizar llamadas al número oficial de emergencia programado en su dispositivo. Marque el número de emergencia y pulse la tecla Llamar. Altavoz Advertencia: No sostenga el dispositivo cerca de su oído cuando esté utilizando el altavoz, ya que el volumen puede resultar muy alto. Puede usar su teléfono como un altavoz durante una llamada.
Programar su teléfono ■ Bloqueo de teclas El bloqueo de teclas le permite bloquear el teclado para evitar tecleos accidentales. El teclado se desbloquea cuando recibe una llamada. Tras la llamada, el bloqueo de teclas se vuelve a activar automáticamente. Cuando el bloqueo de teclas está activado, es posible realizar llamadas al número de emergencia programado en su teléfono. Marque el número de emergencia y pulse la tecla Llamar. Bloquear el teclado Seleccione Menú, luego pulse la tecla * en 2 segundos.
Ingreso de texto 3. Ingreso de texto Puede usar dos métodos para ingresar texto y números: el modo estándar y el modo de texto predictivo. Seleccione Borrar para retroceder el cursor y borrar un carácter. Mantenga pulsada Borrar para retroceder continuamente y borrar los caracteres. ■ Método estándar El método estándar es la única forma de ingresar texto en la lista de contactos y para renombrar grupos de llamantes.
Ingreso de texto Activar o desactivar 1. En cualquier pantalla para el ingreso de texto, seleccione Opc. > Dicc. activado para activar o Dicc. desactivado para desactivar. 2. Si activa el ingreso de texto predictivo, seleccione el idioma. Ingreso de texto La ilustración a continuación muestra la manera de ingresar la palabra Nokia con el texto predictivo. Con el diccionario español seleccionado, pulse las siguientes teclas numéricas una sola vez (6, 6, 5, 4, 2).
Mensajes 4. Mensajes Si se ha suscrito a un servicio de red de mensajes, puede enviar y recibir mensajes de teléfonos compatibles que también estén suscritos a un servicio de mensajes. También puede enviar y recibir mensajes multimedia y de e-mail si su operador de red lo admite. Puede crear listas de distribución que contengan números telefónicos y nombres desde su lista de contactos.
Mensajes Borrar texto: para borrar todo el texto del editor de mensaje. Insertar contacto: para insertar un nombre de su lista de contactos en su mensaje. Insertar número: para insertar o buscar un número telefónico en la lista de contactos. Guardar: seleccione Borradores para guardar el mensaje en la carpeta para borradores o Plantillas para guardar el mensaje como una de sus plantillas predefinidas en la carpeta de plantillas. Salir del editor: para salir del editor de mensaje.
Mensajes Opciones Al leer un mensaje de texto, seleccione Opc. para acceder a algunas o todas las siguientes opciones: Eliminar: para eliminar el mensaje. Usar información: para usar o guardar el número, dirección de e-mail o dirección Web. Mover: para guardar el mensaje en Archivos, Plantillas o en una carpeta que haya creado. Desviar: para volver a enviar el mensaje a otro número telefónico o dirección de e-mail. Bloquear o Desbloquear: para bloquear o desbloquear el mensaje.
Mensajes 1. Abra el mensaje recibido o escriba un mensaje y seleccione Opc. 2. Para guardar un mensaje recibido, seleccione Mover > Archivos, Plantillas o una carpeta que haya creado. Aviso de envío: para recibir una nota confirmando la entrega del mensaje. Mensajes Dependiendo de su red, puede recibir un mensaje que incluye una dirección de Internet a la cual puede ir para ver el mensaje multimedia. Las fotos son escaladas para que quepan en la pantalla del teléfono. Su teléfono tiene un visor de mensaje multimedia para reproducir mensajes y un buzón de entrada multimedia para almacenar los mensajes guardados. Cuando haya guardado el mensaje multimedia, podrá usar la imagen como protector de pantalla o el sonido como un tono de timbre.
Mensajes Eliminar mensajes: para eliminar los mensajes multimedia de Buzón de entrada, Buzón de salida, Elem. enviados o Elem. guardados. Configuraciones de mensajes: para cambiar las configuraciones para los mensajes multimedia. Escribir y enviar mensajes multimedia 1. Seleccione Menú > Mensajería > Mensajes multimedia > Crear mensaje. 2. Escriba un mensaje usando el teclado. Mensajes Leer y contestar mensajes multimedia Cuando recibe un mensaje multimedia, aparece en la pantalla para indicar el progreso de descarga. Cuando se haya descargado todo el mensaje, y una notificación aparecen en la pantalla. 1. Para ver el mensaje multimedia inmediatamente, seleccione Mostrar. Para guardar el mensaje en el buzón de entrada para poder verlo en otro momento, seleccione Salir.
Mensajes Insertar > Nota calendario: para insertar una nota de agenda. Eliminar > Imagen, Clip de sonido o Videoclip: para eliminar una imagen, clip de sonido o archivo de videoclip de su mensaje. Eliminar > Diapositiva: para eliminar la diapositiva adjunta a su mensaje. Editar asunto: para editar el encabezado del asunto. Borrar texto: para borrar todo el texto de la diapositiva en su mensaje. Vista previa: para ver una vista previa del mensaje o presentación de diapositivas antes de su envío.
Mensajes Opciones para leer mensajes Al leer un mensaje multimedia, tendrá disponibles las siguientes opciones: Config. contraste: para ajustar el contraste de una imagen. Esta opción sólo está disponible al ver una imagen. Detalles: para mostrar los detalles de un archivo adjunto resaltado. Guardar imagen, Guardar clip sonido o Guardar videoclip: para guardar el archivo correspondiente en Galería. Debe abrir las imágenes, clips de sonido y videoclips antes de guardarlos.
Mensajes Eliminar todos los mensajes multimedia en una carpeta 1. Seleccione Menú > Mensajería > Mensajes multimedia > Eliminar mensajes > Buzón de entrada, Buzón de salida, Elem. enviados o Elem. guardados. 2. Seleccione Sí para eliminar todos los mensajes en la carpeta o No para salir.
Mensajes Recuperar: para que el teléfono recupere automáticamente todos los mensajes multimedia. Cuando llegan nuevos mensajes, se le notifica que ha recibido un nuevo mensaje multimedia. Seleccione Mostrar para leer el mensaje multimedia o Salir para verlos en otro momento en su buzón de entrada. Rec. manualmente: seleccione los mensajes que desea recuperar. Cuando llegan nuevos mensajes, se le notifica que hay un mensaje multimedia listo para ser recuperado.
Mensajes Administrar listas de distribución 1. Seleccione Menú > Mensajería > Listas distribución. 2. Las listas que haya creado aparecen en la pantalla. Desplácese a la lista que desea modificar, seleccione Opc. y alguna de las siguientes opciones: Crear nueva lista: para crear una nueva lista de distribución. Renombrar lista: para renombrar la lista de distribución. Borrar lista: para borrar la lista de distribución de todos los contactos actuales. Eliminar lista: para eliminar la lista de distribución.
Mensajes Automatizar el correo de voz Los servicios de correo de voz varían según el operador de red. Las siguientes instrucciones son ejemplos de operaciones comunes. Consulte a su operador de red para obtener instrucciones específicas sobre cómo usar su servicio de correo de voz. Anotar el número del buzón de voz y el procedimiento 1. Mensajes Insertar códigos de marcación Pulse la tecla * varias veces para desplazarse por los códigos de marcación. Cuando el código deseado aparezca en la pantalla, haga una breve pausa y el código se inserta en la secuencia de marcación.
Registro 5. Registro Registro guarda información sobre las últimas 30 llamadas perdidas, recibidas o números marcados. También suma la duración total de todas las llamadas. Cuando la cantidad de llamadas excede el máximo, la llamada más reciente reemplaza la más antigua. Cuando vea las llamadas perdidas, recibidas o números marcados, las opciones del menú son iguales: Hora de llamada: para mostrar la fecha y hora de llamada. Enviar mensaje: para enviar un mensaje al número.
Registro ■ Ver los destinatarios de mensajes Puede ver los destinatarios de los mensajes que ha enviado. Contactos 6. Contactos La lista de contactos puede almacenar hasta 500 contactos con varios números y notas de texto para cada contacto. La cantidad de números y entradas de texto que puede guardar podría variar, dependiendo de su longitud y la cantidad total de entradas en la lista de contactos.
Contactos 3. Ingrese el número o texto para el tipo que ha seleccionado y seleccione OK. 4. Cámara 7. Cámara Puede tomar fotos y grabar videoclips con la cámara incorporada de 1.0 megapíxel. El lente de la cámara está en la parte frontal del dispositivo. La cámara produce fotos en el formato JPEG y videoclips en el formato H.264 (SubQCIF). Al tomar y usar imágenes o videoclips, obedezca todas las leyes y respete las costumbres locales tanto como los derechos legítimos y de privacidad de otros.

Zoom: para acercarse antes de grabar un video o acercarse a la imagen del video grabado, desplácese para navegar por el video.
Cámara Configuraciones Seleccione Menú > Cámara > Opc. > Configuraciones para cambiar las configuraciones en el modo de cámara. Seleccione alguna de las siguientes opciones: Calidad de imagen: para definir la compresión de archivo cuando guarda la imagen. Seleccione Alta, Media o Básica. Alta usa menos compresión de archivo y provee la mejor calidad de imagen, pero ocupa más espacio. Calidad de videoclip: para definir la calidad de un videoclip. Seleccione Alta, Normal o Baja.
Galería 8. Galería Puede guardar fotos, videoclips, grabaciones y tonos de timbre en carpetas de la Galería y agregar nuevas carpetas. Puede descargar imágenes y tonos usando MMS, SMS, sitios de Internet móvil o Nokia PC Suite. Nota: Sólo los dispositivos compatibles que ofrecen funciones compatibles de mensajes multimedia pueden recibir y mostrar mensajes multimedia. Su teléfono admite un sistema de derechos digitales para proteger el contenido que haya adquirido.
Galería Detalles: para mostrar el nombre, tamaño y fecha de creación de la carpeta seleccionada. Tipo de vista > Lista c/detalles, Lista o Cuadrícula: para determinar cómo mostrar las carpetas y archivos en éstas. Clasificar: para clasificar el contenido de la carpeta seleccionada por nombre, fecha, formato o tamaño. Agregar carpeta: para crear una nueva carpeta. Estado memoria: para verificar al memoria disponible del dispositivo. Lista claves activ.: para ver la lista de claves de activación disponibles.
Multimedia 9. Multimedia ■ Reproductor multimedia Con el reproductor multimedia puede descargar, ver y reproducir imágenes, archivos de audio y video compatibles e imágenes animadas de diferentes fuentes. El reproductor multimedia le permite reproducir streaming de videos y audio de un servidor de red. La funcionalidad streaming es un servicio de red y requiere que la red la admita.
Multimedia La grabación recibe un nombre predeterminado y se guarda en Lista grabaciones. La ubicación predeterminada de Lista grabaciones es la carpeta Grabaciones en la Galería. Tras hacer una grabación, seleccione Opc. > Repr. último grab. para reproducir la grabación y Enviar último grab. > Vía infrarrojo, Vía Bluetooth o Vía multimedia para enviar la grabación a un teléfono compatible. Estas opciones sólo están disponibles durante la sesión de grabación actual.
Multimedia Activar una configuración de ecualizador Seleccione Menú > Multimedia > Ecualizador, desplácese a la configuración deseada y seleccione Activar. Crear un conjunto de ecualizador personalizado 1. Seleccione Menú > Multimedia > Ecualizador. 2. Desplácese a Conjunto N o Conjunto N y seleccione Opc. > Editar. El conjunto seleccionado aparece en la pantalla con la barra en el extremo izquierdo resaltada.

Límite de tiempo de las luces de fondo Para controlar el límite de tiempo de las luces de fondo de su teléfono, seleccione Menú > Config. > Pantalla principal > Límite de tiempo de luces de fondo.
Configuraciones Ahorro de energía Cuando esta función está activada la pantalla muestra sólo una pantalla simplificada tras un límite de tiempo. Seleccione Menú > Config. > Mini pantalla > Ahorro de energía > Activar o Desactivar. ■ Temas Un tema tiene muchos elementos para personalizar su teléfono, como imagen de fondo, protector de pantalla, esquema de colores y un tono del timbre. La función temas carga automáticamente imágenes de fondo, protectores de pantalla, tonos de timbre y colores de fondo.
Configuraciones Tonos del teclado: para configurar el volumen de los tonos del teclado (o apáguelos). Tonos de aviso > Activar o Desactivar: para configurar los tonos de aviso y confirmación. Aviso para: para definir los grupos de llamantes que el perfil seleccionado aceptará o rechazará. Configuraciones Si su proveedor de servicios de red admite esta función, compartir información de ubicación permite que el dispositivo comparta la información de ubicación por la red. Para llamadas a números de emergencia, esta información de ubicación la puede usar el operador de emergencia para localizar el dispositivo. La funcionalidad y precisión de esta función dependen de la red, sistemas de satélite y la agencia que recibe la información.
Configuraciones Abrir la tapa para contestar En forma predeterminada, su teléfono contesta una llamada entrante cuando abre la tapa. Puede cambiar la configuración predeterminada para que su teléfono no conteste las llamadas al abrir la tapa. Seleccione Menú > Config. > Llamada > Contestar al abrir la tapa > Activar o Desactivar. Actualización automática de servicio Su dispositivo puede recibir actualizaciones de servicios móviles enviadas a su dispositivo por su operador de red. Seleccione Menú > Config.
Configuraciones Seleccionar una tarjeta de llamada Puede seleccionar una de las tarjetas de llamadas para las cuales ha guardado su información. La información de la tarjeta seleccionada se usa cuando realiza una llamada con tarjeta. 1. Seleccione Menú > Config. > Llamada > Tarjeta de llamada. 2. Configuraciones Transferencia de datos Para ver la velocidad de transmisión al enviar o recibir llamadas de datos o fax, seleccione Menú > Config. > Llamada > Llamadas datos/fax > Pantalla velocidad datos > Gráfico o Desactivar. Resumen de llamada Para mostrar la duración de una llamada al colgar, seleccione Menú > Config. > Llamada > Resumen de llamadas > Activar o Desactivar. Mostrar la hora de la llamada Para ver la hora de llamada en la pantalla al terminar cada llamada, seleccione Menú > Config.
Configuraciones 1. Seleccione Menú > Config. > Teléfono > Bloqueo automático > Activar o Desactivar. 2. Si selecciona Activar, aparece Fijar demora: en la pantalla. 3. Ingrese el tiempo de espera (en el formato mm:ss) y seleccione OK. Cuando el bloqueo automático está activado, es posible marcar el número de emergencia programado en su dispositivo.
Configuraciones Configurar duración Para programar la duración de los tonos al tacto para la opción Fijos, seleccione Menú > Config. > Teléfono > Tonos DTMF > Duración de los tonos DTMF > Corta (0,1 de segundo) o Larga (0,5 de segundos). Tono de inicio Para escuchar un tono de inicio cuando enciende el dispositivo, seleccione Menú > Config. > Teléfono > Tono de inicio > Activar o Desactivar. Saludo inicial Puede escribir un saludo inicial que aparece brevemente en la pantalla al encender el teléfono.
Configuraciones • No se aceptan los nombres demasiado cortos. Use nombres largos y evite usar nombres parecidos diferentes números. Nota: El uso de etiquetas de voz puede resultar difícil en un entorno ruidoso o durante una situación de emergencia, por lo que no debe confiar únicamente en la marcación por voz en todos los casos. Operación manos libres Puede configurar hasta dieciséis comandos para el uso manos libres de ciertas funciones en su dispositivo.
Configuraciones ■ Conectividad Puede conectar el teléfono a un dispositivo compatible usando una conexión infrarroja (IR) o la conectividad Bluetooth inalámbrica. Configuraciones Para ver inmediatamente el elemento transferido desde el modo standby, seleccione Mostrar. Para ver el elemento en otro momento, seleccione Salir. Se guarda el elemento en el menú indicado en su teléfono. Por ejemplo, una tarjeta de negocios se guarda en Contactos y una nota de agenda se guarda en Agenda. Conectividad infrarroja Puede programar su teléfono para que reciba datos vía su puerto infrarrojo (IR).
Configuraciones Activar la conexión del modo predeterminado Conéctese a su PC en Modo predeterm. para transferir datos del teléfono y archivos entre su teléfono y PC usando PC Suite. 1. Conecte su PC y su teléfono usando el cable de datos USB CA-53. Aparece una notificación que le solicita que seleccione un modo. 2. Seleccione Aceptar > Modo predeterm. Respuesta automática > Activar o Desactivar: para contestar llamadas automáticamente tras un timbre con el auricular conectado. Operación manos libres Seleccione una opción para modificar sus configuraciones. Perfil predeterminado: seleccione el perfil que desea que se active automáticamente cuando su dispositivo está conectado a un equipo para automóvil.
Configuraciones 3. Seleccione Bloqueo de teléfono y alguna de las siguientes opciones: Desactivar: para desactivar inmediatamente la función de bloqueo del dispositivo. Bloquear ahora: para activar inmediatamente la función de bloqueo del dispositivo. Al encenderlo: para activar la función de bloqueo del dispositivo la próxima vez que el dispositivo se encienda. Si selecciona Bloquear ahora, debe ingresar su código de bloqueo antes de que su dispositivo funcione como de costumbre.
Configuraciones 2. Ingrese el código de bloqueo y seleccione OK. 3. Seleccione Cambiar código de bloqueo. 4. Ingrese el nuevo código de bloqueo (debe tener una longitud de cuatro caracteres). 5. Vuelva a ingresar el nuevo código de bloqueo para su verificación y seleccione OK. Cuando cambie su código de bloqueo, asegúrese de guardarlo en un lugar seguro, apartado de su dispositivo.

Configuraciones Cancelar Seleccione Menú > Config. > Servicios de red > Desvío de llamadas > Cancelar todos los desvíos. Cancelar todos los desvíos puede afectar la recepción de sus mensajes de correo de voz. Comuníquese con su operador de red para más detalles. Llamada en espera Si su operador de red admite esta función, llamada en espera le avisará de una llamada entrante, incluso durante una llamada activa. Puede aceptar, rechazar o ignorar la llamada entrante. 1. Seleccione Menú > Config.

Organizador 11. Organizador Su teléfono tiene funciones para ayudarle a organizar su vida cotidiana; incluye un reloj de alarma, agenda, notas, lista de tareas, calculadora, temporizador y cronómetro. ■ Alarma Si a la hora programada para la alarma el dispositivo está apagado, éste se enciende automáticamente y empieza a emitir el tono de alarma. Si selecciona Parar, el dispositivo le pregunta si desea activar el dispositivo para las llamadas.
Organizador Detener la alarma Cuando suena la alarma, su dispositivo suena, vibra (si la alerta de vibración está activa para el perfil actual) y se encienden las luces. Con el teléfono encendido, seleccione Parar para apagar la alarma o Pausa. Con Pausa seleccionado, la alarma se interrumpe por diez minutos y Pausa activada aparece en la pantalla. Si no pulsa ninguna tecla, la alarma se detiene (pausa) por diez minutos, luego suena nuevamente.
Organizador Memo: para ingresar un asunto y hora y fecha final. Recordatorio: para ingresar un asunto y fecha para su recordatorio. Se le da la opción de programar una alarma. 3. Organizador ■ Calculadora La calculadora en su dispositivo suma, resta, multiplica, divide, calcula el cuadrado y la raíz cuadrada, cambia el signo del número ingresado y convierte divisas. Nota: Esta calculadora es de precisión limitada y está diseñada paraoperaciones de cálculo sencillas. 1. Seleccione Menú > Organizador > Calculadora. 2. Ingrese el número base de la operación. Pulse # para ingresar un punto decimal, si es necesario. Para cambiar el signo, seleccione Opc.
Organizador A nacional: convierte divisa extranjera en moneda nacional. A extranjera: convierte moneda nacional en divisa extranjera. 5. Si todavía no ha ingresado una tasa de cambio, el dispositivo le solicita que la ingrese. Seleccione OK. Puede editar la tasa de cambio en cualquier momento. ■ Temporizador El temporizador de su dispositivo le permite ingresar un tiempo específico (de hasta 99 horas y 59 minutos). Cuando el tiempo vence, su dispositivo suena una alarma.
Organizador ■ Cronómetro Puede usar el cronómetro en su dispositivo para registrar tiempos. El cronómetro muestra el tiempo en horas, minutos, segundos y fracciones de segundo en el formato hh:mm:ss:s. El uso del cronómetro o su ejecución en segundo plano mientras se están utilizando otras funciones, aumenta la demanda de alimentación de la batería y reduce la vida útil de la batería. Medir tiempo 1. Seleccione Menú > Organizador > Cronómetro > Duración parcial o Duración de vuelta > Iniciar.
Organizador Nota de funcionamiento Si pulsa la tecla Finalizar y regresa al modo standby, el reloj continúa funcionando en segundo plano y aparecerá en la esquina superior izquierda. Para regresar a la pantalla del cronómetro, seleccione Menú > Organizador > Cronómetro > Continuar. Para detener el reloj, seleccione Parar. Opciones Puede seleccionar las siguientes opciones cuando usa el cronómetro: Continuar: aparece cuando el cronómetro está funcionando en segundo plano.
Web móvil 12. Web móvil Miniexplorador es un servicio de red. Consulte "Servicios de red", pág. 109. Su dispositivo tiene un explorador incorporado que puede usar para conectarse a servicios selectos de Internet móvil. Si su operador de red admite esta función, puede ver pronósticos del tiempo, las noticias u horarios de vuelo, información financiera y más. El explorador Web en su dispositivo puede mostrar contenido basado en el protocolo de aplicaciones móviles (Wireless Application Protocol, WAP).
Web móvil ■ Navegar por Internet móvil Puesto que la pantalla de su dispositivo es mucho más reducida que la de una computadora, el contenido de Internet móvil aparece con otro formato distinto. Esta sección contiene instrucciones sobre el uso de las teclas para navegar por un sitio WAP. Teclas del teléfono • Pulse la tecla Encender/Apagar para mostrar la página de inicio del miniexplorador. • Desplácese hacia arriba o abajo para explorar el sitio WAP. • Seleccione un elemento.
Web móvil Borrar la memoria caché y desconectarse La memoria caché es una ubicación de memoria que se usa para guardar datos provisionalmente. Si ha intentado acceder o ha accedido a información confidencial que exige contraseñas, vacíe la memoria caché del teléfono después de cada uso. La información o servicios a los cuales ha tenido acceso se almacenan en la memoria caché.
Extras 13. Extras Desafíese usted mismo o a un amigo a jugar uno de los entretenidos juegos de su dispositivo. Algunos menús listados son servicios de red. Comuníquese con su operador de red para obtener más información. Para descargar juegos o aplicaciones, seleccione el menú Juegos o Colección. Importante: Instale y utilice sólo aplicaciones y otros software de fuentes que brinden seguridad y protección adecuada contra software perjudicial.

Conectividad PC ■ Transferir datos USB Puede transferir datos como música, fotos y videos, desde su dispositivo a una PC compatible o desde una PC compatible a su dispositivo usando el cable de datos USB DKU-2 o el cable de datos CA-53. El cable está conectado a su dispositivo correctamente cuando las flechas apuntan hacia la pantalla. Desconecte el cable de datos USB del dispositivo para realizar una llamada.
Conectividad PC 9. Haga clic en USB device (Dispositivo USB) en la ventana de dispositivos de hardware. Una ventana muestra Stop a Hardware device (Detener dispositivo de Hardware). 10. Resalte USB device (Dispositivo USB) y haga clic en OK. Conectividad PC • Nokia Connection Manager selecciona el tipo de conexión entre su PC y el dispositivo. • Nokia Phone Browser copia las imágenes y tonos de su dispositivo a su PC y viceversa.
