Your device supports internet connections and other methods of connectivity. Like computers, your device may be exposed to viruses, malicious messages and applications, and other harmful content. To increase the security of your device, consider installing antivirus software with a regular update service and using a firewall application.
■ Enhancements, batteries, and chargers Check the model number of any charger before use with this device. This device is intended for use when supplied with power from the AC-3, AC-4, AC-5, DC-4 chargers or CA-44 charger adapter. Warning: Use only batteries, chargers, and enhancements approved by Nokia for use with this particular model. The use of any other types may invalidate any approval or warranty, and may be dangerous. For availability of approved enhancements, please check with your dealer.
Support ■ Help Your device has context-sensitive help. You can access the help from an application or from the main menu. To access help when an application is open, select Options > Help. To switch between help and the application that is open in the background, select and hold Menu.
Nokia may produce software updates that may offer new features, enhanced functions, or improved performance. You may be able to request these updates through the Nokia Software Updater PC application. To update the device software, you need the Nokia Software Updater application and a compatible PC with Microsoft Windows 2000 or XP operating system, broadband internet access, and a compatible data cable to connect your device to the PC.
1. Get started ■ Insert a SIM or USIM card and battery Always switch the device off and disconnect the charger before removing the battery. This phone uses BL-5B batteries. For availability and information on using SIM card services, contact your SIM card vendor. This may be the service provider or other vendor. 1. With the back of the phone facing you, press firmly and slide the back cover (1) to remove it from the phone (2). To remove the battery, lift it as shown (3).
2. To release the SIM card holder, slide it backwards (4), and lift it (5). Insert the SIM or USIM card to the SIM card holder (6). Make sure that the card is properly inserted and that the golden-colored contact area on the card is facing downwards, and the beveled corner faces upwards. Close the SIM card holder, and slide it forward to lock it (7). 3. Replace the battery by positioning it, so the gold-colored contacts match up with those on the phone (8) and snap it into place.
Keep microSD cards out of the reach of small children. You can extend the available memory with a microSD memory card. You can insert or remove a microSD card without switching the phone off. Important: Do not remove the memory card in the middle of an operation when the card is being accessed. Removing the card in the middle of an operation may damage the memory card as well as the device, and data stored on the card may be corrupted.
■ Charge the battery Connect the charger to the wall socket. Connect the charger to the phone. If the battery is completely discharged, it may take a few minutes before the charging indicator appears on the display or before any calls can be made. The charging time depends on the charger and the battery used. Charging a BL-5B battery with the AC-4 charger takes approximately 80 minutes. Tip: If you want to save battery power, you can use the phone only in the GSM network.
■ Switch the phone on and off Press and hold the power key. If the phone asks for a PIN code, enter the PIN code, and select OK. If the phone asks for the lock code, enter the lock code, and select OK. The factory setting for the lock code is 12345. ■ Set time and date To set the correct time zone, time, and date, select the country you are presently in, then enter the local time and date. ■ Normal operating position Use the phone only in its normal operating position.
Note: As with any radio transmitting device, avoid touching an antenna unnecessarily when the antenna is in use. For example, avoid touching the cellular antenna during a phone call. Contact with a transmitting or receiving antenna affects the quality of the radio communication, may cause the device to operate at a higher power level than otherwise needed, and may reduce the battery life.
Settings wizard Sett. wizard configures your device for operator (MMS, GPRS, and internet) and e-mail settings based on your service provider. Configuring other settings may also be possible. To use these services, you may have to contact your service provider to activate a data connection or other services. Select Menu > Settings > Sett. wizard. ■ Transfer data To transfer information, such as contacts, from your old phone, see ”Data transfer,” p. 114.

Main camera lens (17) Camera flash (18) Power key (19) Volume keys (20) Camera key (21) ■ Standby mode When you have switched on the phone, and it is registered to a network, the phone is in the standby mode and ready for use. To open the list of last dialed numbers, press the call key. To use the voice commands or voice dialing, press and hold the right selection key. To change the profile, press the power key, and select a profile. To start a connection to the web, press and hold 0.
Offline profile The Offline profile lets you use the phone without connecting it to a network. When the Offline profile is active, the connection to the wireless network is turned off, as indicated by in the signal strength indicator area. All wireless RF signals to or from your phone are prevented, and you can use your device without a SIM or USIM card. Use the offline profile in radio sensitive environments—on board aircraft or in hospitals.
You have missed calls. See ”Recent calls,” p. 40. Shown if Ringing type is set to Silent and Message alert tone and Email alert tone are set to Off. See ”Profiles,” p. 84. The phone keypad is locked. See ”Keypad lock (keyguard),” p. 27. The loudspeaker is activated. An alarm is active. The second phone line is being used. See Line in use in ”Call,” p. 100. / All calls to the phone are diverted to your call mailbox or to another number.
Bluetooth is switched on. Data is being transmitted using Bluetooth. See ”Bluetooth connection,” p. 115. A USB connection is active. Other indicators may also be shown. ■ Scroll and select To scroll left, right, up, or down, press the edges of the scroll key. To select the highlighted item, press the center of the scroll key. Mark and unmark items To mark or unmark a list item in applications, press #. To mark or unmark several consecutive items in a list, press and hold #, and scroll up or down.
To display and switch between open applications, select and hold Menu. The application switching window opens, showing a list of open applications. Scroll to an application, and select it. Leaving applications running in the background increases the demand on battery power and reduces the battery life. View memory consumption To check memory consumption, select Menu > Options > Memory details > Phone memory or Memory card.
■ Volume control To adjust the earpiece or loudspeaker volume during a call or when listening to an audio file, press the volume keys. To activate the loudspeaker during a call, select Loudspeaker. To deactivate the loudspeaker during a call, select Handset. Warning: Do not hold the device near your ear when the loudspeaker is in use, because the volume may be extremely loud. ■ Keypad lock (keyguard) To prevent accidental keypresses, you can lock the keypad.
Lock code The lock code (5 digits) helps to protect your phone against unauthorized use. The preset code is 12345. Change the code, and keep the new code secret and in a safe place separate from your phone. You can change the code and set the phone to request the code. If you enter an incorrect lock code five times in succession, the phone ignores further entries of the code. Wait for 5 minutes, and enter the code again.
Restriction password The restriction password (4 digits) is required when using Call restriction. See ”Call restriction,” p. 102. You can obtain the password from your service provider. If you enter an incorrect restriction password three times in succession, the password is blocked. Contact your service provider. ■ Download! Download! (network service) is a mobile content shop available on your device.
■ Connect a compatible headset Do not connect products that create an output signal as this may cause damage to the device. Do not connect any voltage source to the Nokia AV connector. When connecting any external device or any headset, other than those approved by Nokia for use with this device, to the Nokia AV connector, pay special attention to volume levels. ■ Connect a USB data cable To set the default USB connection mode, select Menu > Settings > Connectivity > USB > USB mode and the desired mode.
3. Call functions ■ Make a voice call 1. In the standby mode, enter the phone number, including the area code. Press the clear key to delete an incorrect character. For international calls, press * twice for the international prefix (the + character replaces the international access code), and then enter the country code, the area code without the leading 0, if necessary, and the phone number. The + character as a replacement for the international access code may not work in all regions.
To define the call mailbox number if no number is set, select Menu > Settings > Call mailbox, and when Voice mailbox number: is displayed, enter the voice mailbox number. To change the call mailbox number, select Menu > Settings > Call mailbox > Options > Change number, and enter the number. 1-touch dialing The 1-touch dialing feature is a quick way to call frequently used numbers in the standby mode. You can assign a phone number to the 1-touch dialing keys, 2 to 9.
Voice tags are sensitive to background noise. Use voice tags in a quiet environment. Note: Using voice tags may be difficult in a noisy environment or during an emergency, so you should not rely solely upon voice dialing in all circumstances. 1. In the standby mode, press and hold the right selection key. A short tone is played, and Speak now is displayed. If you are using a compatible headset with the headset key, press and hold the headset key. 2. Speak the voice command clearly.
5. To drop a participant, select Options > Conference > Drop participant, scroll to the participant, and select Drop. 6. To end the conference call, press the end key. ■ Answer or reject a voice call To answer a call, press the call key. To adjust the volume during the call, press the volume keys. To mute the ringing tone, select Silence. Tip: If a compatible headset is connected to the phone, press the headset key to answer and end a call.
Send touch tones—to send touch tone strings (for example, a password). Enter the touch tone string or search for it in Contacts. To enter a wait character (w) or a pause character (p), press * repeatedly. To send the tone, select OK. Tip: You can add touch tones to the Touch tones field in a contact card. Call waiting To activate the Call waiting function (network service), select Menu > Settings > Phone sett. > Phone > Call > Call waiting > Activate.
1. Enter the phone number in the standby mode; or select Menu > Contacts, and scroll to the desired contact. 2. Select Options > Call > Video call. Starting a video call may take a while. Waiting for video image is shown. If the call is not successful (for example, video calls are not supported by the network, or the receiving device is not compatible), you are asked if you want to try a normal call or send a message instead.
Press the call key to answer the video call. Allow video image to be sent to caller? is shown. If you select Yes, the image captured by the camera in your device is shown to the caller. If you select No, or do nothing, video sending is not activated, and a grey screen is shown in place of the video. Even if you have denied video sending during a video call, the call is still charged as a video call. Check the pricing with your service provider. To end the video call, press the end key.
• Ensure that both the sender and recipient are registered to the UMTS network. If you invite someone to a sharing session and that person’s phone is turned off, or the person is not within UMTS network coverage, they do not know that you are sending an invitation. However, you receive an error message that the recipient cannot accept the invitation. Settings A person-to-person connection is also known as a session initiation protocol (SIP) connection.
If the recipient has several SIP addresses in the contact card, select the SIP address to which you want to send the invitation, and Select to send the invitation. If the SIP address of the recipient is not available, enter a SIP address. Select OK to send the invitation. 3. Sharing begins automatically when the recipient accepts the invitation. The loudspeaker is active. You can also use a headset to continue your voice call while you share live video. 4. Select Pause to pause the sharing session.
■ Log In the log, you can monitor phone calls, text messages, packet data connections, and fax and data calls registered by the phone. Connections to your remote mailbox, multimedia messaging center, or browser pages are shown as data calls or packet data connections in the general communications log. Note: The actual invoice for calls and services from your service provider may vary, depending on network features, rounding off for billing, taxes, and so forth.
4. Text input When you write text, appears on the top right of the display, indicating predictive text input, or appears, indicating traditional text input. To set the predictive text input on or off when writing text, press # repeatedly until the desired mode is active. , , or is displayed next to the text input indicator, indicating the character case. To change the character case, press #. indicates the number mode.
■ Predictive text input To enter any letter with a single keypress, use predictive text input. To select the predictive text input, press *, and select Activate predictive text. This activates predictive text input for all editors in the phone. To write the desired word, press the keys 2–9. Press each key only once for one letter. The word changes after every keypress. For the most common punctuation marks, press 1. For more punctuation marks and special characters, press and hold *.
■ Copy and delete text 1. To select letters and words, press and hold #, and at the same time scroll left or right. As the selection moves, text is highlighted. To select lines of text, press and hold #, and at the same time scroll up or down. 2. To copy the text to the clipboard, press and hold #, and at the same time select Copy. If you want to delete the selected text from the document, press the clear key. 3.
Mailbox—for connecting to your remote mailbox to retrieve your new e-mail messages or viewing your previously retrieved e-mail messages offline. After you define settings for a new mailbox, the name given to that mailbox is displayed instead of Mailbox. Drafts—saves draft messages that have not been sent. Sent—saves the messages that are sent, excluding messages sent using Bluetooth. Outbox—temporarily saves the messages waiting to be sent.
1. To create a message, select Menu > Messaging > New message and the message type. To create an Audio message, see ”Audio messaging,” p. 46. 2. Press the scroll key to select the recipients or groups from Contacts or enter the phone number or e-mail address of the recipient in the To field. Separate recipients with a semicolon (;). 3. When creating an e-mail or multimedia message, scroll down to the subject field, and write the message subject. 4. Scroll down to the message field, and write the message.
Audio messaging Audio messages are multimedia messages that consist of a single sound clip. To create and send an audio message: 1. Select Menu > Messaging > New message > Audio message. 2. In the To field, press the scroll key to choose the recipients from Contacts, or enter the phone number or e-mail address. Scroll down to the message field. 3. To record a new sound clip, press the scroll key, or select Options > Insert sound clip > New sound clip. The recording starts.
Important: Exercise caution when opening messages. Multimedia message objects may contain malicious software or otherwise be harmful to your device or PC. View multimedia objects To view the list of media objects that are included in the multimedia message, open the message, and select Options > Objects. You can open objects in supported formats, and save the file in your phone or send it using Bluetooth technology or as a multimedia message to another compatible device.
■ My folders You can organize your messages into folders, create new folders, and rename and delete folders. Select Menu > Messaging > My folders. To create a folder, select Options > New folder, and enter a name for the folder. ■ Mailbox Select Menu > Messaging > Mailbox. When you open Mailbox, Connect to mailbox? is displayed. Select Yes to connect to your mailbox (network service) or No to view previously retrieved e-mail messages offline.
3. After you retrieve the e-mail messages, you can continue viewing them online. Select Options > Disconnect to close the connection and to view the retrieved e-mail messages and headings offline. 4. To open an e-mail message, select it. If the e-mail message has not been retrieved and you are offline and select Open, you are asked if you want to retrieve this message from the mailbox. To view e-mail attachments, indicated with , select Options > Attachments.
Resend at ... (time)—Sending failed. The phone tries to send the message again after a time-out period. To retry sending the message immediately, select Options > Send. Deferred—To put documents to be on hold while they are in the outbox folder, scroll to a message that is being sent, and select Options > Defer sending. Failed—The maximum number of sending attempts has been reached. ■ Message reader With Msg. reader, you can listen to received text, multimedia, and e-mail messages.
■ View messages on the SIM card Before you can view SIM messages, you need to copy them to a folder in your phone. 1. Select Menu > Messaging > Options > SIM messages. 2. Mark the messages you want to copy. 3. To copy the marked messages, select Options > Copy, and the folder to which you want to copy the messages. ■ Cell broadcast messages You may be able to receive messages, such as weather or traffic conditions from your service provider (network service).
Message center in use —defines which message center is used for delivering text messages and special message types such as business cards Character encoding > Full support—to select all characters in the message to be sent as viewed. If you select Reduced support, characters with accents and other marks may be converted to other characters. Receive report (network service)—When set to Yes, the status of the sent message (Pending, Failed, Delivered) is shown in Reports.
Access point in use—Select which access point is used as the preferred connection for multimedia messaging. Multimedia retrieval—To receive multimedia messages only when you are in your home network, select Auto in home netw.. To always receive multimedia messages, select Always automatic. To retrieve messages manually, select Manual. To not receive any multimedia messages or advertisements, select Off. Allow anon. msgs.—To reject messages coming from an anonymous sender, select No.
User settings Select User settings and from the following settings: My name—Enter the name to be displayed in outgoing e-mail. Send message (network service)—To set when your e-mail messages are sent, select Immediately or During next conn.. Send copy to self—Select Yes to send a copy of the e-mail to the address defined in My e-mail address. Include signature—Select Yes to attach a signature to your e-mail messages and to create or edit a signature text.
Folder subscriptions (only IMAP4 mailboxes)—Select the mailbox folders to which you want to subscribe. To subscribe to or unsubscribe from a folder, scroll to it, and select Options > Subscribe or Cancel subscription. Automatic retrieval Select Automatic retrieval and from the following settings: E-mail notifications—To automatically retrieve the headers to your device when you receive new e-mail in your remote mailbox, select Auto-update or Only in home netw..
Reception—Select On or Off. Language—Select in which languages cell broadcast messages are received. Topic detection—To automatically save previously unknown topic numbers in received cell broadcast messages, select On. Other settings Select Menu > Messaging > Options > Settings > Other and from the following settings: Save sent messages—Select to save a copy of every sent text message, multimedia message, or e-mail to the Sent folder. Number of saved msgs.
IM settings Select Menu > Applications > IM > Options > Settings. To edit the IM application settings, select Preferences. To set who is allowed to see when you are online, select Show my availability. To set who is allowed to send you messages or invitations, select Allow messages from or Allow invitations from. To edit IM server connection settings, select Servers, scroll to the server, and select Options > Edit. Contact your service provider for the settings.
Search for IM groups and users To search for groups, select Menu > Applications > IM > IM groups > Options > Search. You can search IM groups by Group name, Topic, or Members (user ID). To join or save a group that is found in the search, scroll to it, and select Options > Join or Save. To search for new contacts, select IM contacts > Options > New IM contact > Search from server. To start a conversation with a new user, scroll to the user, and select Options > Open conversation.
next to a user indicates that you have received a new message from that user. To view an ongoing conversation, select the user. To send a message, write your message, and press the scroll key. To return to the conversations list without closing the conversation, select Back. To start a new conversation, select Options > New conversation > Select from contacts and from a list of your saved IM contacts that are currently online; or select Enter user ID to enter the user ID.
6. Contacts You can save and manage contact information, such as names, phone numbers, and addresses. ■ Manage contacts Select Menu > Contacts. To add a new contact, select Options > New contact. Fill in the fields you want, and select Done. To edit a contact, scroll to it, and select Options > Edit. To assign default numbers and addresses to a contact, select it, and select Options > Defaults. Scroll to the desired default option, and select Assign.
1. Select Menu > Contacts. 2. Scroll to the right, and select Options > New group. 3. Enter a name for the group, and select the group. 4. Select Options > Add members. 5. Mark the contacts you want to add to the group, and select OK. ■ Add a ringing tone You can set a ringing tone (also a video ringing tone) for each contact and group. 1. Select Menu > Contacts. 2. To add a ringing tone to a contact, select the contact, Options > Ringing tone, and the desired ringing tone.
To open a file, select it. The file opens in its corresponding application. You can transfer videos to your phone from a compatible PC, and download video clips from compatible internet video services to your phone using packet data. To set an image as a wallpaper, select Images, and scroll to the image. Select Options > Use image > Set as wallpaper. To assign the image to a contact, select Assign to contact. To set a video as a video ringing tone, select Videos, and scroll to the video.
To crop an image, select Options > Apply effect > Crop. To crop the image size manually, select Manual or a predefined aspect ratio from the list. If you select Manual, a cross appears in the upper left corner of the image. Scroll to select the area to crop, and select Set. Another cross appears in the lower right corner. Again select the area to be cropped. To adjust the first selected area, select Back. The selected areas form a rectangle, which forms the cropped image.
To modify the video, select from the following Edit video clip options: Cut—Trims the video clip in the cut video clip view. Add color effect—Inserts a color effect on the video clip. Use slow motion—Slows the speed of the video clip. Mute sound or Unmute sound—Mutes or unmutes the original video clip sound. Move—Moves the video clip to the selected location. Adjust volume—Adjusts the volume level. Remove—Removes the video clip from the video. Duplicate—Makes a copy of the selected video clip.
To save your video, select Options > Movie > Save. To define the Memory in use, select Options > Settings. To send the video, select Send > Via multimedia, Via e-mail, or Via Bluetooth. Contact your service provider for details of the maximum multimedia message size that you can send. If your video is too large to send in a multimedia message, appears. Transfer videos from PC To transfer videos from a compatible PC, use a compatible USB cable or Bluetooth connectivity.
To capture an image, press the camera key. The image is saved to Images in Gallery, and the image is displayed. To return to the viewfinder, select Back. To delete the image, press the clear key. To zoom in or out, scroll up or down. To capture images sequentially, select Options > Sequence mode > On. When you press the scroll key, the camera captures six images in short intervals and displays the images in a grid. To turn the flash on (available only in the main camera), select Options > Flash > On.
To use the panorama mode, select Options > Panorama mode, or scroll right. on the upper left of the display indicates the panorama mode. Press the camera key to start capturing a panorama image. The panorama preview is shown on the display. Turn slowly to the right or left. You cannot change the direction. You turn too fast if the arrow on the display is red. To stop the panorama, press the camera key again. Camera settings Your device supports an image capture resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels.
■ Music player To open the music player, select Menu > Music player. Music library Music library is a database of the available music tracks. In the music library, you can choose the music to listen to, and create and manage track lists. To open the music library, in the music player main view, select Options > Music library. To update the music library and search for music tracks in the device memory and on the memory card, select Options > Update Music library.
Listen to music Warning: Listen to music at a moderate level. Continuous exposure to high volume may damage your hearing. Do not hold the device near your ear when the loudspeaker is in use, because the volume may be extremely loud. To start playing or pause playback, press the scroll key. To skip to the next or previous track, scroll down or up. To fast forward or rewind, press and hold the scroll key down or up. To see the currently playing track list, select Options > Open 'Now playing'.
2. To move between frequency bands, scroll left or right. To enhance or diminish sound in the frequency band, scroll up or down. 3. Select Back. ■ Recorder The voice recorder allows you to record phone conversations and voice memos. If you record a phone conversation, all parties hear a beeping sound during recording. Recorded files are stored in Gallery. See ”Gallery,” p. 61. Select Menu > Media > Recorder. To record a sound clip, select Options > Record sound clip, or select .
To stream live content, you must first configure your default access point. See ”Access points,” p. 103. Many service providers require you to use an internet access point (IAP) for your default access point. Other service providers allow you to use a WAP access point. Contact your service provider for more information. In RealPlayer, you can only open an rtsp:// URL address. The FM radio depends on an antenna other than the wireless device antenna. A compatible headset or enhancement needs to be attached to the device for the FM radio to function properly. Warning: Listen to music at a moderate level. Continuous exposure to high volume may damage your hearing. Do not hold the device near your ear when the loudspeaker is in use, because the volume may be extremely loud. You can make a call or answer an incoming call while listening to the radio.
Station list When the radio is on, select Options > Stations. The station list is used for managing the saved radio stations. Station setup Scroll to a station in the station list, press the scroll key, and select Edit to change the station parameters. View visual content To check availability and costs, and to subscribe to the service, contact your service provider. To view visual content of the current station, select .
Station directory With the station directory (network service), you can select Visual Radio enabled or traditional radio stations from a list, grouped in folders. Access from the visual content view To retrieve the visual service ID and to start visual content for the currently tuned radio station, select and Retrieve.
Listen—to tune to the highlighted radio station. To confirm the frequency setting, select Yes. ■ Browse web pages Keys and commands for browsing To open a link, make selections, or check boxes, press the scroll key. To go to the previous page while browsing, select Back. If Back is not available, select Options > Navigation options > History to view a chronological list of the pages visited during a browsing session. To choose the desired page, scroll left or right, and select it. The history list is cleared each time a session is closed.
Mini map Mini map helps you navigate web pages that contain large amount of information. Set Mini map on in browser settings. See ”Browser settings,” p. 81. Scroll through a large web page, and Mini map opens and displays an overview of the web page you are browsing. To move in Mini map, scroll. When you stop scrolling, Mini map disappears and the area outlined in Mini map is displayed. Page overview With Page overview, you can move more quickly to the desired part of a web page.
Saved pages You can save pages and view them later offline. To save a page while browsing, select Options > Tools > Save page. To open the Saved pages view, in the bookmarks view, select Saved pages. To open a page, select it. To start a connection to the browser service and retrieve the page again, select Options > Navigation options > Reload. The phone stays online after you reload the page. ■ End a connection To end the connection and view the browser page offline, select Options > Tools > Disconnect.
General Access point—Select the default access point. Homepage—Define the address of the desired homepage. Mini map—Set on or off. History list—Select whether a list of the pages you have visited during the current browsing session are displayed when you select Back. Security warnings—Hide or show security notifications. Java/ECMA Script—Enable or disable the use of scripts. Page Load content — Select what type of content is loaded automatically while browsing.
Form data saving—If you do not want the data you enter to different forms on a web page to be saved and used next time the page is entered, select Off. Cookies—Enable or disable the receiving and sending of cookies (a means for content providers to identify users and their preferences for frequently used content). Web feeds Automatic updates—Define whether you want the web feeds to be updated automatically or not, and how often you want to update them.
In Themes, you can also set the menu view type, set a custom wallpaper, and personalize the look of the power saver. To apply a theme, select Menu > Settings > Themes > General and a theme of your choosing. ■ Profiles In Profiles, you can adjust and personalize the phone tones for different events, environments, or caller groups. You can see the currently selected profile at the top of the display in the standby mode. If the Normal profile is in use, only the current date is shown.
E-mail alert tone—Set the alert tone for e-mail messages. Vibrating alert—Set the phone to vibrate to alert for incoming calls and messages. Keypad tones—Set the volume level for keypad tones. Warning tones—Activate or deactivate warning tones. Alert for—Set the phone to ring only upon calls from phone numbers that belong to a selected contact group. Phone calls coming from people outside the selected group have a silent alert. Profile name—Name the profile.
Set an alarm 1. To set a new alarm, scroll right to Alarm, and select Options > New alarm. 2. Enter the alarm time, select whether and when the alarm is repeated, and select Done. When an alarm is active, is shown. To cancel an alarm, scroll to the alarm, and select Options > Remove alarm > Yes. To deactivate a repeated alarm, select Options > Deactivate alarm. The set alarm tone sounds also when Silent profile is selected. Turn off the alarm Select Stop to turn off the alarm.
■ Calendar Select Menu > Organizer > Calendar. In the calendar, you can keep track of your appointments, meetings, birthdays, anniversaries, and other events. You can also set a calendar alarm to remind you of upcoming events. Create calendar entries 1. Select Options > New entry and an entry type. Anniversary entries are repeated every year. 2. Fill in the fields. Repeat—Press the scroll key to change the entry to be repeated. A repeating entry is indicated by in the day view.
To create a meeting entry, press any number key (0–9) in any calendar view. To go to a certain date, select Options > Go to date. Write the date, and select OK. To-do Select Options > To-do view. In the To-do view, you can keep a list of tasks that you need to do. Create a to-do note 1. To start to write a to-do note, press any number key (0–9). 2. Write the task in the Subject field. Set a due date and a priority for the task. 3. To save the to-do note, select Done. 12.
■ Converter Select Menu > Organizer > Converter. In the converter, you can convert measurement parameters such as Length from one unit to another, for example, Yards to Meters. The converter has limited accuracy and rounding errors may occur. Set a base currency and exchange rates Before you can convert currency, you need to choose a base currency (usually your domestic currency) and add exchange rates. The rate of the base currency is always 1.
2. Select the first Unit field, the unit from which you want to convert, and OK. 3. Select the next Unit field and the unit to which you want to convert. 4. In the first Amount field, enter the value to be converted. The other Amount field changes automatically to show the converted value. Press # to add a decimal and press * for the +, - (for temperature), and E (exponent) symbols. The conversion order changes if you write a value in the second Amount field. The result is shown in the first Amount field.

Security Select Phone and SIM card, Certificate management, or Security module. Phone and SIM card You can change the following codes: lock code, (U)PIN code, and PIN2 code. These codes can only include the numbers from 0 to 9. Avoid using access codes similar to emergency numbers to prevent accidental dialing of the emergency number. Code in use—to select the active code, PIN or UPIN, for the active USIM. This is shown only if the active USIM supports UPIN, and the UPIN is not rejected.
When calls are limited to closed user groups, calls may be possible to the official emergency number programmed into your device. Confirm SIM services (network service)—to set the phone to display confirmation messages when you use a SIM card service Certificate management A list of authority certificates that have been stored in your phone is displayed in Certificate management. To see a list of personal certificates, if available, scroll right.
The phone notifies you if the identity of the server is not authentic or if you do not have the correct security certificate in your phone. To check certificate details, scroll to a certificate, and select Options > Certificate details. While opening the certificate details, the phone checks the validity of the certificate and one of the following notes may appear: Expired certificate—The validity period has ended for the selected certificate.
Positioning With the positioning service you can receive information from service providers about local issues such as weather and traffic conditions, based on the location of your device (network service). To enable a positioning method, select Positioning methods, scroll to the positioning method, and select Options > Enable. To stop using it, select Options > Disable. To define the positioning server access point, select Positioning server > Access point and the desired access point.
Image in video call—to select a still image to be shown instead of the video when you deny video sending in a video call Automatic redial—to set the phone to make a maximum of 10 attempts to connect the call after an unsuccessful call attempt. Press the end key to stop automatic redialing.
2. Select the desired option. For example, to forward voice calls when your number is busy or when you reject an incoming call, select If busy. 3. To set the forwarding option on or off, select Options > Activate or Cancel. To check whether the option is activated, select Check status. Several forwarding options can be active at the same time. Call restriction and call forwarding cannot be active at the same time.
Operator selection—To set the phone to search for and select automatically one of the available networks, select Automatic. To select the desired network manually from a list of networks, select Manual. If the connection to the manually selected network is lost, the phone sounds an error tone and asks you to select a network again. The selected network must have a roaming agreement with your home network, that is, the operator whose SIM card is in your phone.
Check which kind of access point you need with your service provider for the service you wish to access. For availability and subscription to data connection services, contact your service provider. You may receive access point settings in a message from your service provider, or you may have preset access point settings in your phone. To create a new access point or edit an existing access point, select Options > New access point or Edit.
Packet data connection—If you select When available and you are in a network that supports packet data, the phone registers to the packet data network and short messages are sent using a packet data connection. If you select When needed, the phone uses a packet data connection only if you start an application or function that needs it. The packet data connection can be closed when it is not needed by any application.
Access point name control With the access point name control service, you can restrict the use of packet data access points. This setting is only available if a USIM card is inserted and the USIM card supports the service. To change the settings, you need the PIN2 code. Applications To view and edit settings of applications installed to your phone, select Menu > Settings > Phone sett. > Applications. ■ Voice commands To select the functions to use by voice command, select Menu > Settings > Voice comm..
14. Data management ■ File manager In the file manager, you can browse, open, and manage files and folders in the phone memory or on the memory card. To see a list of the folders in the phone memory, select Menu > Settings > Data mgr. > File mgr.. Scroll right to see the folders on the memory card. View memory consumption Scroll either right or left to view the phone memory or the memory card contents. To check memory consumption of the current memory, select Options > Memory details.
Format the memory card When a memory card is formatted, all data on the card is permanently lost. Some memory cards are supplied preformatted and others require formatting. 1. Select Options > Format memory card. 2. Select Yes to confirm. 3. When formatting is complete, enter a name for the memory card. Back up and restore information To back up information from phone memory to the memory card, select Options > Back up phone memory.
■ Device manager You may receive server profiles and configuration settings from your service provider or company information management department. To open the device manager, select Menu > Settings > Data mgr. > Device mgr.. If you have no server profiles defined, the phone asks whether you want to define one. To connect to a server and receive configuration settings for your phone, scroll to the server profile, and select Options > Start configuration.
1. Select Menu > Settings > Data mgr. > Device mgr. > Updates > Check for updates. If update is available, the device starts downloading it. 2. After a successful download, answer Yes to the confirmation query to continue the installation. To start the installation later, select No. To start the installation process later, select Menu > Settings > Data mgr. > Device mgr. > Install update. If the server profile is defined, it is used as a default.
Install an application Important: Only install and use applications and other software from trusted sources, such as applications that are Symbian Signed or have passed the Java VerifiedTM testing. Before installation, in App. manager, scroll to the installation file, and select Options > View details to view information such as the application type, version number, and the supplier or manufacturer of the application. The .jar file is required for installing Java applications.
Application manager settings In App. manager, select Options > Settings and from the following settings: Software installation—to select if you want to allow installation of all Symbian applications (All) or only signed applications (Signed only) Online certificate check—to select if you want App.
If your device has OMA DRM protected content, to back up both the activation keys and the content, use the backup feature of Nokia PC Suite. Other transfer methods may not transfer the activation keys which need to be restored with the content for you to be able to continue the use of OMA DRM protected content after the device memory is formatted. You may also need to restore the activation keys in case the files on your device get corrupted.
15. Connectivity ■ Data transfer With data transfer you can copy or synchronize contacts, calendar entries, and possibly other data, such as video clips and images, from a compatible phone using a Bluetooth connection. Depending on the other phone, synchronization may not be possible and data can be copied only once. To transfer or synchronize data, do the following: 1. Select Menu > Settings > Connectivity > Transfer. If you have not used Transfer before, information about the application is displayed.

To determine which PC Suite functions can be used with this phone model, refer to the PC Suite compatibility list on the Nokia website at www.nokia.com/support. ■ Bluetooth connection Bluetooth technology enables wireless connections between electronic devices within a maximum range of 10 meters (33 feet).
My phone's visibility > Shown to all—to allow your phone to be found by other Bluetooth devices at all times. To allow your phone to be found for a defined time period, select Define period. For security reasons it is advisable to use the Hidden setting whenever possible. My phone's name—to define a name for your phone.
4. Select the device with which you want to connect. 5. Pair the devices. • If the other device requires pairing before data can be transmitted, a tone sounds and you are asked to enter a passcode. • Create your own passcode (1–16 digits) and agree with the owner of the other device to use the same code. You do not have to memorize the passcode. • After pairing, the device is saved to the Paired devices view. 6. When the connection has been successfully established, the note Sending data is displayed.
is added next to authorized devices in the Paired devices view. If you select Set as unauthorized, each connection request from the device must be accepted separately. Receive data When you receive data using Bluetooth technology, a tone sounds, and you are asked if you want to accept the message. If you accept, the item is placed in Inbox in Messaging. Disconnect Bluetooth connection A Bluetooth connection is disconnected automatically after sending or receiving data.
■ Remote synchronization Sync enables you to synchronize your calendar, contacts, or notes with various calendar and address book applications on a compatible computer or on the internet. The synchronization application uses SyncML technology for synchronization. Select Menu > Settings > Connectivity > Sync. Create a new synchronization profile 1. If no profiles have been defined, the phone asks you if you want to create a new profile. Select Yes.
Access point—Only visible if Internet is selected as Data bearer. Select an access point you want to use for the data connection. Allow sync requests > Yes—to allow that the server starts the synchronization Accept all sync requests > No—to require a confirmation before the server starts the synchronization Network authentication—Only visible if Internet is selected as Data bearer. To use HTTPS authentication, select Yes, and enter user name and password in Network user name and Network password.
Besides the packet data counters, the phone registers only one-to-one calls in the recent calls lists in Log. The participants should confirm the reception of any communications where appropriate as there is no other confirmation of whether the recipients have heard the call. To check availability and costs, and to subscribe to the service, contact your service provider. Note that roaming services may be more limited than home network services.
Callback request tone—Select a tone for callback requests. Application start-up—To start PTT automatically, select Always automatic. To start PTT automatically only while in your home network, select Auto. in home netw.. Default nickname—Enter your nickname shown to other users. Your service provider may have disabled the editing of this option. Show my PTT address—Select Never if you want to hide your PTT address from others. Show my login status—Select whether your status is shown to others.
Make a one-to-one call Warning: Do not hold the device near your ear when the loudspeaker is in use, because the volume may be extremely loud. 1. Select Menu > Settings > Connectivity > PTT > Options > Contacts, scroll to the contact you want to talk to, and press the call key. 2. When the connection has been established, to talk to the other participant, press and hold the call key while you talk. 3. To end the PTT call, select Disconnect, or if there are several PTT calls, select Options > Disconnect.
Respond to a callback request When someone sends you a callback request, 1 new callback request is displayed in the standby mode. Select Show to open Callback inbox. Scroll to a contact, and press the call key. Channels When you are connected to a channel, all members joined to the channel hear you talking. Up to five channels can be active at the same time. When more than one channel is active, select Swap to change the channel you want to talk to. Channels are registered with a URL address.
2. Select Options > New channel > Add existing. 3. Enter the Channel name, Channel address, and Nickname. You can also add a Thumbnail. 4. Select Done. Respond to a channel invitation To save a received channel invitation, select Options > Save channel. The channel is added to your PTT contacts, channels view.
16. Battery information ■ Charging and discharging Your device is powered by a rechargeable battery. The battery can be charged and discharged hundreds of times, but it will eventually wear out. When the talk and standby times are noticeably shorter than normal, replace the battery. Use only Nokia approved batteries, and recharge your battery only with Nokia approved chargers designated for this device.
Do not dispose of batteries in a fire as they may explode. Batteries may also explode if damaged. Dispose of batteries according to local regulations. Please recycle when possible. Do not dispose as household waste. Do not dismantle or shred cells or batteries. In the event of a battery leak, do not allow the liquid to come in contact with the skin or eyes. In the event of such a leak, flush your skin or eyes immediately with water, or seek medical help.
Authenticate hologram 1. When looking at the hologram on the label, you should see the Nokia connecting hands symbol from one angle and the Nokia Original Enhancements logo when looking from another angle. 2. When you angle the hologram left, right, down, and up, you should see 1, 2, 3, and 4 dots on each side respectively. 3. Scratch the side of the label to reveal a 20-digit code, for example, 12345678919876543210. Turn the battery so that the numbers are facing upwards.
17. Enhancements Practical rules about accessories and enhancements • Keep all accessories and enhancements out of the reach of small children. • When you disconnect the power cord of any accessory or enhancement, grasp and pull the plug, not the cord. • Check regularly that enhancements installed in a vehicle are mounted and are operating properly. • Installation of any complex car enhancements must be made by qualified personnel only.
Care and maintenance Your device is a product of superior design and craftsmanship and should be treated with care. The following suggestions will help you protect your warranty coverage. • Keep the device dry. Su proveedor de servicios puede haber pedido que ciertas funciones de su dispositivo sean inhabilitadas o no activadas. De ser así, éstas no aparecerán en el menú. Es posible que su dispositivo también tenga una configuración especial, como cambios en nombres de menús, orden del menú e iconos. Comuníquese con su proveedor de servicios para obtener información. Soporte ■ Ayuda Su dispositivo incluye una ayuda contextual. Puede acceder a la ayuda desde una aplicación o desde el menú principal. Para alternar entre la ayuda y la aplicación que está abierta en segundo plano, seleccione y mantenga pulsada la opción Menú. ■ Actualizaciones de software La disponibilidad de esta función puede variar según la región. Consulte a su operador local para obtener más información. Nokia puede producir actualizaciones de software que ofrezcan nuevos recursos, funciones perfeccionadas o desempeño mejorado. Es posible solicitar estas actualizaciones a través del aplicativo Nokia Software Updater PC.
1. Inicio ■ Insertar una tarjeta SIM o USIM y la batería Siempre apague el dispositivo y desconecte el cargador antes de retirar la batería. Este teléfono usa baterías BL-5B. Para obtener información de la disponibilidad y uso de los servicios de la tarjeta SIM, comuníquese con el proveedor de su tarjeta SIM. Puede ser el proveedor de servicios u otro proveedor. 1. Con la parte posterior del teléfono hacia usted, pulse y deslice firmemente la cubierta posterior (1) para retirarla del teléfono (2).
2. Para liberar el soporte de la tarjeta SIM, deslícelo hacia atrás (4) y levántelo (5). Inserte la tarjeta SIM o USIM en el soporte de la tarjeta SIM (6). Asegúrese que la tarjeta esté correctamente insertada y que el área de contacto de color dorado en la tarjeta esté orientada hacia abajo, y la esquina biselada esté orientada hacia arriba. Cierre el soporte de la tarjeta SIM y deslícelo hacia delante para que encaje (7). 3.
■ Tarjeta microSD Utilice este dispositivo sólo con las tarjetas microSD compatibles y aprobadas por Nokia. Nokia utiliza tarjetas de memoria estándar de mercado aprobadas, pero algunas marcas no son completamente admitidas con este dispositivo. Tarjetas incompatibles pueden dañar la tarjeta y el dispositivo, además de corromper los datos almacenados en ella. Mantenga las tarjetas microSD fuera del alcance de los niños. Puede usar una tarjeta de memoria microSD para ampliar la memoria disponible.
Retirar una tarjeta microSD 1. Abra la compuerta en el costado. 2. Empuje suavemente la tarjeta para liberarla. Retire la tarjeta de memoria y pulse "Aceptar" aparece en la pantalla. Extraiga la tarjeta y seleccione Aceptar. 3. Cierre la compuerta en el costado firmemente. ■ Cargar la batería Conecte el cargador a un tomacorriente de pared. Conecte el cargador en el teléfono.
■ Encender y apagar el teléfono Mantenga pulsada la tecla Encender/Apagar. Si el teléfono le solicita un código PIN, ingréselo y seleccione Aceptar. Si el teléfono le solicita el código de bloqueo, ingréselo y seleccione Aceptar. La configuración de fábrica del código de bloqueo es 12345. ■ Configurar la hora y la fecha Para configurar la zona horaria, la hora y la fecha correctas, seleccione el país en el que se encuentra, luego ingrese la hora y la fecha local.
Nota: Al igual que al usar otros dispositivos de transmisión por radio, no toque ninguna antena sin necesidad mientras el dispositivo esté encendido. Por ejemplo, se debe evitar tocar la antena celular durante una llamada. El contacto con una antena transmisora o receptora afecta la calidad de la comunicación por radio, puede hacer que el dispositivo funcione con una potencia más alta de la necesaria, y puede reducir la vida útil de la batería.
Cuando recibe un mensaje de configuración y las configuraciones no se guardan ni se activan de manera automática,1 mensaje nuevo aparece en la pantalla. Seleccione Mostrar para abrir el mensaje. Para guardar las configuraciones, seleccione Opciones > Guardar. Es posible que deba ingresar un código PIN proporcionado por el proveedor de servicios. Asistente de configuración El Asist.config.

Para abrir la lista de los últimos números marcados, pulse la tecla Llamar. Para utilizar los comandos de voz o marcación por voz, mantenga pulsada la tecla de selección derecha.
Para acceder a las aplicaciones de espera activa, desplácese hasta la aplicación y selecciónela. En espera activa, las aplicaciones predeterminadas aparecen en el área de la espera activa, y debajo aparecen los eventos de la agenda, las tareas y reproductor. Para seleccionar una aplicación o un evento, desplácese hasta la opción deseada y selecciónela. Modo desconectado El modo desconectado le permite usar el teléfono sin conectarlo a una red.
■ Indicadores El teléfono está conectado a una red UMTS. El uso de HSDPA (servicio de red) en la red UMTS está activado. El teléfono está conectado a una red GSM. El teléfono está en el modo desconectado y no está conectado a ninguna red celular. Consulte ”Modo desconectado”, pág. 163. Ha recibido uno o varios mensajes en la carpeta Buzón entrada de Mensajería. Ha recibido un nuevo e-mail en su buzón de correo remoto. Hay mensajes en la espera de su envío en la carpeta Buzón salida.
/ Todas las llamadas que recibe el teléfono se desvían al buzón de llamadas o a otro número. Si tiene dos líneas telefónicas, el indicador de desvío de llamadas aparece como para la primera línea y para la segunda línea. Hay un auricular conectado al teléfono. Hay un audífono conectado al teléfono. Se perdió la conexión con un auricular Bluetooth. / Hay una llamada de datos activa. Hay una conexión de paquete de datos GPRS activa.
■ Desplazarse y seleccionar Para desplazarse a la izquierda, derecha, arriba o abajo, pulse los bordes de la tecla de desplazamiento. Para seleccionar el elemento resaltado, pulse la parte central de la tecla de desplazamiento. Marcar y desmarcar elementos Para marcar o desmarcar un elemento de la lista de aplicaciones, pulse la tecla #. Para marcar o desmarcar varios elementos consecutivos en una lista, mantenga pulsada la tecla # y desplácese hacia arriba o hacia abajo.
Ver el consumo de la memoria Para verificar el consumo de la memoria, seleccione Menú > Opciones > Detalles de memoria > Memoria del teléfono o Tarjeta de memoria. Si la memoria del teléfono se está agotando, retire algunos archivos o transfiéralos a la tarjeta de memoria. ■ Aplicación de bienvenido La aplicación de Bienvenido se inicia la primera vez que se enciende el teléfono.
Advertencia: Cuando esté usando el altavoz, no sostenga el dispositivo cerca del oído, ya que el volumen puede resultar demasiado alto. ■ Bloqueo del teclado (bloqueo de teclas) Para evitar la pulsación accidental de teclas, puede bloquear el teclado. Para bloquear el teclado en el modo en espera, pulse la tecla de selección izquierda y la tecla * en 1,5 segundos. Para que el teléfono bloquee automáticamente el teclado después de un período determinado, seleccione Menú > Configuraciones > Config.
Si ingresa un código incorrecto cinco veces consecutivas, el teléfono no aceptará ningún intento posterior para ingresar el código. Espere cinco minutos e ingrese el código de nuevo. Cuando el dispositivo está bloqueado, es posible llamar al número de emergencia oficial programado en el dispositivo.
Contraseña de restricción La contraseña de restricción (de cuatro dígitos) es necesaria para usar la función Restricción llam. Consulte ”Restricción de llamadas”, pág. 252. Puede solicitar la contraseña a su proveedor de servicios. Si ingresa una contraseña de restricción incorrecta tres veces consecutivas, la contraseña quedará bloqueada. Comuníquese con su proveedor de servicios. ■ Descargue Descargue (servicio de red) es una tienda de contenido móvil disponible en su dispositivo.
■ Conectar un auricular compatible No conecte productos que emitan una señal de salida pues esto puede causar daños al dispositivo. No conecte ninguna fuente de tensión al conector Nokia AV. Cuando usted conecta algún dispositivo externo o auricular, el cual no sea aprobado por Nokia para uso con su dispositivo, al conector Nokia AV, preste atención especial a los niveles de volumen.
3. Funciones de llamada ■ Realizar una llamada de voz 1. En el modo en espera, ingrese el número telefónico con el código de área incluido. Pulse la tecla Borrar para eliminar un carácter incorrecto. Para realizar llamadas internacionales, pulse la tecla * dos veces para indicar el prefijo internacional (el carácter + reemplaza el código de acceso internacional) y, luego, escriba el código del país, el código de área sin el cero precedente, si es necesario, y el número telefónico.
Buzón de llamadas Para llamar a su buzón de llamadas (servicio de red), mantenga pulsada la tecla 1 en el modo en espera. El buzón de llamadas es un servicio de red. Comuníquese con su proveedor de servicios para obtener el número del buzón de llamadas. Para definir el número del buzón de llamada si no se configuró ninguno, seleccione Menú > Configuraciones > Buzón llamadas, y cuando Nº buzón voz: aparezca en la pantalla, ingrese el número del buzón de voz.
• Si Marcación rápida está configurada en Activado, mantenga pulsada la tecla de marcación rápida hasta que inicie la llamada. Para configurar la opción Marcación rápida en Activado, seleccione Menú > Configuraciones > Config. teléfono > Teléfono > Llamada > Marcación rápida > Activar. Para ver el número asignado a la tecla de marcación rápida, seleccione Menú > Configuraciones > Marc. rápida, desplácese hasta el icono de la tecla y seleccione Opciones > Ver número.
Realizar una llamada de multiconferencia 1. Para realizar una llamada de multiconferencia (servicio de red), llame al primer participante. 2. Para llamar a otro participante, seleccione Opciones > Nueva llamada. La primera llamada automáticamente queda retenida. 3. Para incluir al primer participante en la llamada de multiconferencia cuando se responde la nueva llamada, seleccione Opciones > Multiconferencia.
Para rechazar la llamada, pulse la tecla Finalizar o seleccione Opciones > Rechazar. El llamante escucha un tono de línea ocupada. Si activó la opción Desviar llamada Si está ocupado para desviar llamadas, rechazar la llamada también desvía la llamada. Para enviar un mensaje de texto al llamante, para informarle la razón por la que no contestó la llamada, seleccione Opciones > Enviar mens. texto. Puede activar la respuesta del mensaje de texto y editar el texto en el mensaje. Consulte Rechaz. llam.
Llamada en espera Para activar la función Llamada en espera (servicio de red), seleccione Menú > Configuraciones > Config. teléfono > Teléfono > Llamada > Llamada en espera > Activar. Para contestar una llamada en espera durante una llamada, pulse la tecla Llamar. La primera llamada queda retenida. Para finalizar la llamada activa, pulse la tecla Finalizar. Para alternar entre las dos llamadas, seleccione Cambiar.
2. Seleccione Opciones > Llamar > Llamada de video. Las llamadas de video pueden tardar un poco en comenzar. Aparecerá el texto Esperando imagen de video. Si no se puede establecer la llamada (por ejemplo, la red no admite llamadas de video o el dispositivo receptor no es compatible), se le preguntará si desea realizar una llamada normal o enviar un mensaje. La llamada de video está activa cuando ve dos imágenes de video y escucha el sonido por el altavoz.
■ Contestar o rechazar una llamada de video Cuando recibe una llamada de video, aparece en la pantalla. Pulse la tecla Llamar para contestar la llamada de video. Aparece el texto ¿Permitir el envío de imágenes de video a la persona que llama?. Si selecciona Sí, la imagen capturada por la cámara del dispositivo puede ser vista por la persona que realiza la llamada. Si selecciona No, o si no hace nada, no se activa el envío de video y se muestra una pantalla gris en el lugar del video.
• Asegúrese que su dispositivo esté configurado para conexiones P2P (persona-a-persona). • Asegúrese de tener una conexión UMTS activa y de estar dentro del área de cobertura de una red UMTS. Si inicia la sesión compartida cuando se encuentra dentro del área de cobertura de una red UMTS y se produce un cambio a una red GSM, la sesión compartida se interrumpe, pero la llamada de voz continúa. • Asegúrese que tanto el remitente como el destinatario estén registrados en la red.
Compartir video en vivo Para recibir una sesión compartida, el destinatario debe instalar Video compart. y ajustar las configuraciones necesarias en su dispositivo móvil. Tanto usted como el destinatario deben estar registrados en el servicio para poder compartir videos. Para recibir invitaciones para compartir, debe estar registrado en el servicio, tener una conexión UMTS activa y estar dentro de la cobertura de red UMTS. 1.
Aceptar una invitación Cuando alguien le envía una invitación para compartir video, aparece un mensaje de invitación que muestra el nombre o la dirección SIP del remitente. Si su dispositivo no está configurado en Silencio, sonará al recibir la invitación. Si alguien le envía una invitación para compartir video y usted no se encuentra dentro del área de cobertura de una red UMTS, no sabrá que recibió una invitación.
Últimas llamadas El teléfono registra los números telefónicos de las llamadas perdidas, recibidas y marcadas, y la duración aproximada de sus llamadas. El teléfono sólo registra las llamadas perdidas y recibidas solamente si la red admite dichas funciones y el teléfono está encendido y dentro del área de cobertura de la red. Para ver las últimas llamadas (servicio de red), seleccione Menú > Registro > Últimas llam. y un tipo de llamada.
Aparecerá el icono , o al lado del indicador de ingreso de texto para mostrar si se están usando mayúsculas o minúsculas. Para alternar entre mayúsculas y minúsculas, pulse la tecla #. indica el modo de números. Para alternar entre el modo alfabético y el modo numérico, pulse la tecla # repetidamente hasta que se active el modo numérico; o pulse la tecla *, y seleccione Modo numérico o Modo alfabético.
■ Ingreso de texto predictivo Para ingresar letras con una sola pulsación de tecla, use el ingreso de texto predictivo. Para seleccionar el ingreso de texto predictivo, pulse la tecla *, y seleccione Activar texto predictivo. Esto activa el ingreso de texto predictivo para todos los editores en el teléfono. Para escribir la palabra deseada, pulse las teclas 2 a la 9. Pulse cada tecla sólo una vez para cada letra. La palabra cambia después de cada vez que se pulsa una tecla.
■ Copiar y eliminar texto 1. Para seleccionar letras y palabras, mantenga pulsada la tecla # y, al mismo tiempo, desplácese hacia la izquierda o hacia la derecha. A medida que la selección se mueve, el texto va apareciendo resaltado. Para seleccionar líneas de texto, mantenga pulsada la tecla #, y al mismo tiempo, desplácese hacia arriba o hacia abajo. 2. Para copiar el texto en el portapapeles, mantenga pulsada la tecla # y, al mismo tiempo, seleccione Copiar.
Mis carpetas: para organizar sus mensajes en carpetas. Buzón correo: para conectarse a un buzón de correo remoto y descargar los mensajes nuevos de e-mail o ver sin conexión los mensajes de e-mail ya descargados. Después de definir la configuración para un nuevo buzón de correo, en la pantalla se muestra el nombre elegido para el buzón de correo en lugar de Buzón de correo. Borrador: guarda los borradores de los mensajes que todavía no se envían.
Sólo los dispositivos que ofrecen la función de mensajes con imágenes pueden recibir y mostrar este tipo de mensajes. La apariencia de un mensaje podrá variar dependiendo del dispositivo receptor. Antes de poder enviar y recibir un mensaje SMS, un mensajes multimedia o mensajes de e-mail, o antes de conectarse al buzón de correo remoto, debe tener las configuraciones de conexión correctas en su lugar. Consulte ”Configuraciones de mensajes”, pág. 195. 1.
Para agregar un objeto multimedia a un mensaje multimedia, seleccione Opciones > Insertar objeto > Imagen, Clip de sonido o Videoclip. Para crear y agregar un objeto multimedia nuevo, seleccione Opciones > Insertar nuevo > Imagen, Clip de sonido, Videoclip o Diapositiva. Cuando se agrega sonido, el icono aparece en la pantalla. Para agregar un objeto multimedia a un e-mail, seleccione Opciones > Insertar > Imagen, Clip de sonido, Videoclip, Nota, Otros o Plantilla. 5.
Configuraciones de e-mail Antes de usar la aplicación de e-mail, debe hacer lo siguiente: • Configurar un punto de acceso a Internet (IAP) correctamente. Consulte ”Conexión”, pag. 253. • Defina sus configuraciones de e-mail correctamente. Consulte ”Configuraciones de e-mail”, pág. 198. Siga las instrucciones que le proporcione su proveedor de servicios de e-mail e Internet. ■ Buzón de entrada—recibir mensajes Seleccione Menú > Mensajes > Buzón entrada.
Para abrir un mensaje recibido, seleccione Menú > Mensajes > Buzón entrada y el mensaje deseado. Puede guardar el contenido del mensaje especial en su teléfono. Por ejemplo, para guardar en la agenda una entrada recibida, seleccione Opciones > Guardar en Agenda. Nota: La función de mensajes con imágenes se puede usar sólo si su proveedor de servicios la admite. Sólo los dispositivos que ofrecen la función de mensajes con imágenes pueden recibir y mostrar este tipo de mensajes.
Cuando crea un nuevo buzón de correo, el nombre que usted asigna a ese buzón de correo reemplaza al nombre Buzón correo. Puede tener hasta seis buzones de correo. Cuando esté conectado, para finalizar la conexión de datos con el buzón de correo remoto, seleccione Opciones > Desconectar. Recuperar mensajes de e-mail del buzón de correo Importante: Sea precavido al abrir mensajes. Los mensajes de e-mail pueden contener virus o dañar el dispositivo o su PC. 1.
Eliminar mensajes de e-mail Para eliminar un mensaje de e-del teléfono y no del buzón de correo remoto, seleccione Menú > Mensajes > Buzón correo > Opciones > Eliminar > Sólo teléfono. El encabezado del mensaje de e-mail permanece en su teléfono. Para también eliminar el encabezado, elimine primero el mensaje de e-mail del buzón de correo remoto, luego conecte su teléfono con el buzón de correo remoto para actualizar el estado.
■ Lector de mensajes Con Lector mensajes, puede escuchar mensajes de texto, mensajes multimedia y mensajes de e-mail recibidos. Para escuchar un mensaje del Buzón entrada o del Buzón correo, desplácese hasta el mensaje o marque los mensajes y seleccione Opciones > Escuchar. Para pasar al siguiente mensaje, desplácese hacia abajo.
1. Seleccione Menú > Mensajes > Opciones > Mensajes SIM. 2. Marque los mensajes que desea copiar. 3. Para copiar los mensajes marcados, seleccione Opciones > Copiar y la carpeta en la que desea copiar los mensajes. ■ Mensajes de difusión celular Es posible que pueda recibir mensajes, sobre temas como las condiciones climáticas o del tránsito, por parte de su proveedor de servicios (servicio de red). Para activar el servicio, consulte Difusión celular en ”Configuraciones de difusión celular”, pág. 200.
Centro mens. en uso: define qué centro de mensajes se usa para enviar mensajes de texto y tipos de mensajes especiales, como tarjetas de visita. Codificac. caracteres > Soporte completo: para seleccionar que todos los caracteres del mensaje se envíen como se ven. Si selecciona Soporte reducido, los caracteres con tilde y otras marcas especiales pueden aparecer convertidos en otros caracteres.
Modo creación MMS: si selecciona Dirigido, el teléfono le informa si está intentando enviar un mensaje que el destinatario tal vez no admita. Para que el teléfono evite el envío de mensajes no admitidos, seleccione Restringido. Si selecciona Libre, la creación de mensajes no estará restringida, pero es posible que el destinatario no pueda ver el mensaje que le envió. Punto acceso en uso: seleccione qué punto de acceso se usa como conexión preferida para los mensajes multimedia. Recuperación multim.
Configuraciones de e-mail Configuraciones para buzones de correo Seleccione Menú > Mensajes > Opciones > Configuraciones > E-mail > Buzones de correo y un buzón de correo. Si todavía no definió la configuración del buzón de correo, se le preguntará si desea hacerlo ahora. Config. conexión > E-mail entrante y E-mail saliente: para definir las configuraciones correctas, comuníquese con su proveedor de servicios de e-mail. Configuraciones de usuario Seleccione Config.
Para descargar mensajes y archivos adjuntos, seleccione Mens. y arch. adj.. Las opciones Límite tamaño y Mens. y arch. adj. sólo están disponibles con buzones de correo POP3. Cantidad para recup.: para limitar la cantidad de mensajes que se pueden recuperar del buzón de correo remoto, seleccione De Buzón entrada > Nº e-mails e ingrese la cantidad máxima de mensajes que se recuperarán. También puede limitar la cantidad de mensajes a descargar de otras carpetas suscritas en De carpet.
Las funciones Notificac. de e-mail y Recuperación de e-mail no pueden activarse simultáneamente. Configuraciones de mensajes de servicio Seleccione Menú > Mensajes > Opciones > Configuraciones > Mensaje de servicio y alguna de las siguientes opciones: Mensajes de servicio: para permitir o rechazar la recepción de mensajes de servicio. Descargar mensajes: para descargar mensajes de manera automática o manual.
Nº mens. guardados: para definir la cantidad de mensajes enviados que se guardan simultáneamente en la carpeta de elementos enviados. Cuando se alcanza el límite, se elimina el mensaje más antiguo. Memoria en uso: para seleccionar si los mensajes se guardan en la memoria del teléfono o en la tarjeta de memoria. ■ Mensajería instantánea La mensajería instantánea (MI) le permite conversar con otras personas y unirse a foros de discusión (grupos MI) con temas específicos (servicio de red).
Para editar las configuraciones de conexión del servidor MI, seleccione Servidores, desplácese hasta el servidor y seleccione Opciones > Editar. Comuníquese con su proveedor de servicios para obtener las configuraciones. Para definir nuevas configuraciones del servidor, seleccione Opciones > Nuevo servidor. Para elegir el servidor predeterminado, seleccione Servidor predet. y el servidor.
Para buscar contactos nuevos, seleccione Contactos MI > Opciones > Nuevo contacto MI > Buscar desde servidor. Para iniciar una conversación con un usuario nuevo, desplácese hasta el usuario y seleccione Opciones > Abrir conversación. Para guardar el contacto nuevo, seleccione Agreg. a contac. MI. Chat en un grupo de MI Seleccione Menú > Aplicaciones > MI > Grupos de MI. Después de unirse a un grupo de MI, puede ver los mensajes que se intercambian en el grupo y enviar sus propios mensajes.
Para ver una conversación en curso, seleccione el usuario. Para enviar un mensaje, escríbalo y pulse la tecla de desplazamiento. Para volver a la lista de conversaciones sin cerrar la conversación, seleccione Atrás. Para iniciar una conversación nueva, seleccione Opciones > Nueva conversación > Selec. de contactos y realice la selección en la lista guardada de contactos de MI que estén conectados en ese momento, o seleccione Escribir id. usuario para ingresar la ID de usuario.
Restringir acceso a un grupo de MI Para crear un grupo de MI cerrado, cree una lista de miembros del grupo. Sólo los usuarios de la lista estarán autorizados a unirse al grupo. Seleccione la vista Grupos de MI, desplácese hasta el grupo y seleccione Opciones > Grupo > Configuraciones > Miembros del grupo > Sólo seleccionado. 6. Para ver la lista de números de marcación fija, seleccione Opciones > Contactos SIM > Contac. marcac. fija. Esta configuración sólo aparece si la tarjeta SIM la admite. Cuando la marcación fija está activada, es posible llamar al número de emergencia oficial programado en el dispositivo. ■ Administrar grupos de contactos Puede crear un grupo de contactos para enviar mensajes de texto o e-mail a varios destinatarios a la vez. 1. 7. Multimedia ■ Galería Utilice la Galería para guardar y organizar sus imágenes, videos, pistas de música, clips de sonido, listas de pistas, enlaces de streaming, archivos .ram y presentaciones. Seleccione Menú > Galería. Para abrir una carpeta (como Imágenes), selecciónela. Para abrir un archivo, selecciónelo. El archivo se abre en su aplicación correspondiente.
Marque los archivos que desea mover a la carpeta y seleccione Opciones > Organizar > Mover a carpeta y la carpeta. Descargar archivos Seleccione Menú > Galería, la carpeta para el tipo de archivo que desea descargar y la función de descarga (por ejemplo, Imágenes > Descargas graf). Se abre el explorador. Elija un favorito para el sitio de donde desea descargar. Editar imágenes Para editar imágenes de la Galería, desplácese hasta la imagen y seleccione Opciones > Editar.
Para reducir los ojos rojos en una imagen, seleccione Opciones > Aplicar efecto > Reduc. ojos rojos. Mueva la cruz sobre el ojo y pulse la tecla de desplazamiento. Aparecerá un círculo en la pantalla. Para cambiar el tamaño del círculo de modo que se ajuste al tamaño del ojo, desplácese hacia arriba, hacia abajo, hacia la izquierda o hacia la derecha. Para reducir el color rojo, pulse la tecla de desplazamiento.
Silenciar o Activar sonido: activa o desactiva el sonido del videoclip original. Mover: mueve el videoclip a la ubicación que seleccionó. Ajustar volumen: ajusta el nivel del volumen. Eliminar: elimina el videoclip del video. Duplicar: hace una copia del videoclip seleccionado. Editar texto (sólo aparece si agregó texto): para mover, eliminar o duplicar texto; cambiar el color y el estilo del texto; definir el tiempo que permanece en la pantalla y agregar efectos al texto.
Para enviar el video, seleccione Enviar > Vía multimedia, Vía e-mail o Vía Bluetooth. Comuníquese con su proveedor de servicios para obtener detalles sobre el tamaño máximo de los mensajes multimedia que puede enviar. Si el tamaño del video excede el tamaño permitido para enviarlo en un mensaje multimedia, aparece en la pantalla. Transferir videos desde una PC Para transferir videos de una PC compatible, use un cable USB compatible o la conectividad Bluetooth.
Para capturar una imagen, pulse la tecla de la cámara. La imagen se guarda en Imágenes en la Galería, y la imagen aparece en la pantalla. Para regresar al visor, seleccione Atrás. Para eliminar la imagen, pulse la tecla Borrar. Para acercar o alejar, desplácese hacia arriba o hacia abajo. Para capturar imágenes en secuencia, seleccione Opciones > Modo de secuencia > Activar. Cuando pulsa la tecla de desplazamiento, la cámara captura seis imágenes en intervalos breves y las muestra en una cuadrícula.
Para grabar un video, seleccione Opciones > Modo video, o desplácese hacia la derecha. en la parte superior izquierda de la pantalla indica el modo de video. Para iniciar la grabación, pulse la tecla de la cámara o la tecla de desplazamiento. Para detener la grabación, pulse la tecla de la cámara. Para usar el modo panorámico, seleccione Opciones > Modo panorama, o desplácese hacia la derecha. en la parte superior izquierda de la pantalla indica el modo panorámico.
Memoria en uso: para seleccionar si desea guardar sus imágenes en la memoria del teléfono o en la tarjeta de memoria. Seleccione Video y alguna de las siguientes configuraciones: Duración: si está configurado en Máximo, la longitud del video grabado sólo estará restringida por la cantidad de memoria disponible. Si está configurado en Corto, el tiempo de grabación se optimiza para el envío por servicio de mensajería multimedia (MMS).
Puede seleccionar música para escuchar de la biblioteca musical en diferentes maneras. Por ejemplo, para reproducir un álbum específico, seleccione Álbumes, desplácese hasta el álbum y seleccione Opciones > Reproducir. Para escuchar pistas específicas del álbum, seleccione Álbumes y un álbum, marque las pistas y seleccione Opciones > Reproducir. Listas de pistas Para compilar y guardar su propia lista de pistas, seleccione Listas de pistas > Opciones > Nueva lista pistas.
Para volver al modo en espera y dejar el reproductor de música en segundo plano, pulse la tecla Encender/Apagar. Para reproducir las pistas de música varias veces, seleccione Opciones > Repetición. Seleccione Todo para repetir todas las pistas que se están reproduciendo, Una para repetir la pista que se está reproduciendo actualmente o Desactivar para no repetir las pistas. Para reproducir música en orden aleatorio, seleccione Opciones > Reprod. aleatoria > Activar.
■ Grabadora La grabadora de voz le permite grabar conversaciones telefónicas y recordatorios de voz. Si graba una conversación telefónica, todos los participantes escuchan un sonido durante la grabación. Los archivos grabados se almacenan en la Galería. Consulte ”Galería”, pág. 207. Seleccione Menú > Medios > Grabador voz. Para grabar un clip de sonido, seleccione Opciones > Grabar clip sonido o seleccione . Para escuchar la grabación, seleccione .
• Seleccione un enlace de flujo continuo guardado en la galería. Se establecerá una conexión con el servidor de flujo continuo. • Abra un enlace de flujo continuo mientras explora la Web. Para reproducir contenido en vivo por flujo continuo, antes debe configurar el punto de acceso predeterminado. Consulte ”Puntos de acceso”, pág. 254. Muchos proveedores de servicios requieren que se use un punto de acceso a Internet (IAP) como punto de acceso predeterminado.
Para utilizar el servicio de Visual Radio, se debe cumplir con los siguientes requisitos: • La estación de radio y su proveedor de servicios deben admitir este servicio. • Su punto de acceso a Internet debe estar definido para acceso al servidor de Visual Radio de su operador de red. • La estación de radio debe tener definido el ID de servicio correcto de Visual radio y tener el servicio de Visual Presence activado. No es posible usar Visual Radio si el teléfono está en el modo desconectado.
Funciones de radio Para ajustar el volumen, pulse las teclas de volumen. Seleccione o para desplazarse a la siguiente o anterior estación guardada. Los botones permanecen inactivos si no ninguna estación guardada. Al utilizar un auricular compatible, pulse la tecla del auricular para desplazarse a la siguiente estación de radio guardada. Para guardar la estación actual, seleccione Opciones > Guardar estación, una posición predeterminada e ingrese el nombre de la estación.
Si la ID del servicio visual no se guardó en la lista de estaciones, se le solicitará esta ID. Ingrese la ID del servicio visual y seleccione Aceptar. Si no tiene la ID del servicio visual, seleccione Recuperar para acceder al directorio de estaciones (servicio de red). Para finalizar la transmisión del contenido visual, pero no la radio FM, seleccione Cerrar. Para definir la configuración de la luz y el tiempo de ahorro de energía, seleccione Opciones > Config. de pantalla.
Una vez que se haya establecido la conexión con el directorio de estaciones, seleccione la ubicación más cercana a su posición actual de una lista de carpetas, y pulse la tecla de desplazamiento. El dispositivo compara las frecuencias de las estaciones de radio de la lista con la frecuencia sintonizada actualmente. Si se encuentra una frecuencia que coincide, aparece la ID del servicio visual de la estación de radio sintonizada. Seleccione Aceptar para comenzar a ver el contenido visual.
Guardar: para guardar los detalles de la estación de radio seleccionada en la lista de estaciones. Detalles: para ver la información del canal. ■ Reproductor Flash Con el Reproductor Flash, puede ver, reproducir e interactuar con archivos flash creados para dispositivos móviles. Seleccione Menú > Medios > Reprod. Flash. Para abrir una carpeta o reproducir un archivo flash, selecciónelo. 8.
■ Marcas Las marcas son coordenadas para ubicaciones geográficas que puede guardar en su dispositivo para un futuro uso en diferentes servicios basados en su ubicación. Puede crear marcas utilizando un accesorio Bluetooth con GPS o red (servicio de red). Seleccione Menú > Aplicaciones > Personal > Marcas. 9. Web Para explorar las páginas Web con formato XHTML, WML o HTML, seleccione Menú > Web o mantenga pulsada la tecla 0 en el modo en espera.
Puede utilizar la función Asistente config. para establecer las configuraciones del punto de acceso a Internet o WAP. Consulte ”Asistente de configuración”, pág. 160. Es posible que reciba las configuraciones del servicio en un mensaje de configuración por parte del proveedor de servicios. Para definir un punto de acceso manualmente, consulte Puntos de acceso en ”Conexión”, pág. 253.
• Seleccione un favorito de la vista de favoritos. • En la vista de favoritos, ingrese la dirección de la página Web y seleccione Ir a. ■ Administrar favoritos Su dispositivo puede tener sitios favoritos o enlaces preinstalados. También puede acceder sitios provistos por terceros no asociados a Nokia a través de su dispositivo. Nokia no se responsabiliza, ni respalda estos sitios. Si pretende accederlos, adopte las precauciones relativas a seguridad y contenido.
■ Explorar páginas Web Teclas y comandos para la exploración Para abrir un enlace, realice las selecciones o marque las casillas de verificación y pulse la tecla de desplazamiento. Para ir a la página anterior durante la exploración, seleccione Atrás. Si Atrás no se encuentra disponible, seleccione Opciones > Opc. navegación > Historial para ver una lista cronológica de las páginas visitadas durante una sesión de exploración.
Mini mapa Mini mapa lo ayuda a navegar por las páginas Web que contienen grandes cantidades de información. Configure Mini mapa: en activar en las configuraciones del explorador. Consulte ”Configuraciones del explorador”, pág. 230. Desplácese por una página Web completa y Mini mapa se abre y muestra una descripción general de la página Web que está explorando. Para desplazarse dentro de Mini mapa, utilice la tecla de desplazamiento.
Para actualizar un vínculo Web, selecciónelo y luego seleccione Opciones > Actualizar. Para definir de qué manera actualizar los vínculos Web, seleccione Opciones > Configuraciones > Vínculos Web. Páginas guardadas Usted puede guardar páginas y verlas en otro momento sin conexión. Para guardar una página durante la exploración, seleccione Opciones > Herramientas > Guardar página. Para abrir la vista de Páginas guardadas, seleccione Páginas guardadas en la vista de favoritos.
Para eliminar todos los datos de privacidad, incluyendo la caché, los cookies, los datos de formularios, las contraseñas y el historial de exploración, seleccione Menú > Web > Opciones > Borrar datos privacidad > Todo. ■ Configuraciones del explorador Seleccione Opciones > Configuraciones > General, Página, Privacidad o Vínculos Web y alguna de las siguientes opciones: General Punto de acceso: seleccione el punto de acceso predeterminado.

10. Personalización ■ Temas Active un tema para cambiar la apariencia de la pantalla de su teléfono. Un tema puede incluir la imagen de fondo y el ahorro de energía del modo en espera. Puede editar un tema para personalizar su teléfono. Seleccione Menú > Configuraciones > Temas. Para ver una lista de los temas disponibles, seleccione General. El tema activo se indica con una marca de verificación. Para obtener una vista previa de un tema, desplácese hasta él y seleccione Opciones > Vista previa .
Para personalizar un modo, selecciónelo, y elija Personalizar y alguna de las siguientes opciones: Tono de timbre: para configurar el tono de timbre (también un tono de timbre de video) para las llamadas de voz, seleccione un tono de timbre de la lista. Pulse cualquier tecla para detener el sonido. También puede cambiar el tono de timbre de loscontactos. Consulte ”Agregar un tono de timbre”, pág. 206. Tono llamada video: seleccione el tono de timbre para las llamadas de video. Decir nomb.
Nombre de modo: escriba un nombre para el modo. Esta opción no aparece en el modo Normal ni en el modo Desconectado. Cuando se utiliza el modo Desconectado, el teléfono no está conectado a la red GSM. Si no hay ninguna tarjeta SIM instalada, debe iniciar el teléfono en el modo Desconectado para utilizar algunas de sus funciones. Importante: En el perfil fuera de línea no es posible realizar ni recibir llamadas, ni usar otras funciones que requieran la cobertura de la red celular.
Para cancelar una alarma, desplácese hasta la alarma y seleccione Opciones > Eliminar alarma > Si. Para desactivar una alarma recurrente, seleccione Opciones > Desactivar alarma. Para fijar sonidos de tono de alarma cuando el modo de Silencio está seleccionado. Desactivar la alarma Seleccione Parar para desactivar la alarma. Seleccione Pausa para que la alarma se detenga por cinco minutos y luego se reanude.
Con la agenda, puede llevar un registro de las citas, reuniones, cumpleaños, aniversarios y otros eventos. También puede configurar una alarma de la agenda que le recuerde los próximos eventos. Crear entradas de agenda 1. Seleccione Opciones > Nueva entrada y un tipo de entrada. Las entradas de Aniversario se repiten año tras año. 2. Complete los campos. Repetir: pulse la tecla de desplazamiento para repetir la entrada. Una entrada recurrente se indica con en la vista del día.
Tareas Seleccione Opciones > Vista de tareas. En Vista de tareas, puede guardar una lista de las tareas que debe realizar. Crear una nota de tarea 1. Para comenzar a escribir una nota de tarea, pulse cualquier tecla numérica (de 0 a 9). 2. Ingrese la tarea en el campo Asunto. Defina una fecha de vencimiento y una prioridad para la tarea. 3. ■ Convertidor Seleccione Menú > Organizador > Convertidor. Con el convertidor, puede convertir parámetros de medición como Longitud de una unidad a otra, por ejemplo, Yardas a Metros. El convertidor tiene una precisión limitada, y es posible que se produzcan errores de aproximación. Fijar una moneda base y tipos de cambio Antes de convertir divisas, debe elegirse una moneda base (generalmente, la moneda de su país) y debe agregar los tipos de cambio. La tasa de la moneda base es siempre 1.

Ver un documento Para desplazarse por una página, utilice la tecla de desplazamiento. Para ir a la página siguiente, desplácese hacia abajo hasta la parte inferior de la página. Para acercar o alejar, seleccione Opciones > Zoom > Acercar o Alejar. Para buscar texto, seleccione Opciones > Buscar > Texto e ingrese el texto que desea buscar. Para buscar la siguiente coincidencia, seleccione Opciones > Buscar > Siguiente.
Para ver una lista de los documentos de Word, Excel y PowerPoint, desplácese hacia la derecha o hacia la izquierda hasta la vista de Quickword, Quicksheet o Quickpoint. Por ejemplo, los documentos de Microsoft Word disponibles aparecen en la vista de Quickword. Seleccione un archivo para abrirlo en su aplicación correspondiente. Para ordenar los archivos, seleccione Opciones > Ordenar por y una opción.
Ver hojas de cálculo Para desplazarse por la hoja de cálculo, utilice la tecla de desplazamiento. Para alternar entre las hojas de cálculo, seleccione Opciones > Hoja de cálculo. Para buscar texto dentro de un valor o una fórmula en la hoja de cálculo, seleccione Opciones > Buscar > Buscar. Para cambiar la vista de la hoja de cálculo, seleccione Opciones y alguna de las siguientes opciones: Desplazar: para navegar dentro de la hoja de cálculo actual por bloques.
Para ver la presentación en la pantalla completa, seleccione Opciones > Pantalla completa. Para expandir los elementos de la presentación en la vista de esquema, seleccione Opciones > Expandir. Quickmanager Con Quickmanager, puede descargar software, incluyendo actualizaciones y otras aplicaciones útiles. Puede pagar las descargas mediante la cuenta telefónica o la tarjeta de crédito.
Pantalla Brillo: para ajustar el brillo de la pantalla. Tamaño de letra: para seleccionar el tamaño de la letra que se utiliza en las listas y los editores. Tiempo ahorro energía: para establecer el tiempo de espera después del cual se activa el modo de ahorro de energía. Saludo inicial o logo: para configurar el saludo inicial o el logotipo que se muestra brevemente cada vez que se enciende el teléfono. Tiempo espera luz: para fijar el tiempo de espera de la luz de la pantalla.
Temas Aplique temas. Consulte ”Temas”, pág. 232. Idioma Idioma del teléfono: para cambiar el idioma del texto que aparece en la pantalla de su teléfono. Este cambio también puede afectar el formato que se utiliza para la fecha y la hora, y los separadores usados en los cálculos, por ejemplo. Si selecciona Automático, el teléfono selecciona el idioma de acuerdo con la información de la tarjeta SIM. El teléfono se reiniciará una vez que se haya modificado el idioma del texto de la pantalla.
Separador de hora: para seleccionar el separador de hora. Tipo de reloj: para seleccionar si desea que se muestre el reloj análogo o el digital en el modo en espera. Consulte ”Reloj”, pág. 234. Tono de alarma reloj: para seleccionar el tono de la alarma del reloj. Días hábiles: para especificar los días para las alarmas recurrentes sólo durante los días hábiles.
Teléfono y tarjeta SIM Puede ingresar los ajustes manualmente: código de bloqueo, código (U)PIN y código PIN2. Estos códigos sólo pueden incluir números del 0 al 9. Trate de no utilizar códigos de acceso similares a números de emergencia; así evitará marcar accidentalmente un número de emergencia. Código en uso: para seleccionar el código activo, PIN o UPIN para el USIM activo. Esto sólo se muestra si el USIM activo admite el UPIN y éste no es rechazado.
grupo predeterminado que acordó con el proveedor de servicios, seleccione Predeterminado. Si desea utilizar otro grupo (debe saber el número de índice del grupo), seleccione Activado. Cuando las llamadas están restringidas a grupos cerrados de usuarios, es posible realizar llamadas a números de emergencia programados en el dispositivo. Confirmar serv. SIM (servicio de red): para establecer que el teléfono muestre los mensajes de configuración al utilizar un servicio de tarjeta SIM.
Ver detalles del certificado y comprobar autenticidad Sólo podrá estar seguro de la identidad de un servidor una vez que haya verificado la firma y el período de validez del certificado del servidor. El teléfono le notificará si la identidad del servidor no es auténtica o si no cuenta con el certificado de seguridad apropiado en su teléfono. Para verificar los detalles del certificado, desplácese hasta un certificado y seleccione Opciones > Detalles certificado.
Configuraciones de fábrica Restablezca algunas de las configuraciones a sus valores originales. Necesita el código de bloqueo. Consulte ”Código de bloqueo”, pág. 168. Posicionamiento Con el servicio de posicionamiento, puede recibir información de los proveedores de servicios acerca de temas locales, como las condiciones climáticas y del tráfico, de acuerdo con la ubicación del dispositivo (servicio de red). Para activar el método de posicionamiento, seleccione Métodos posicionam.
Para solicitar que la red desactive la llamada en espera, seleccione Cancelar. Para verificar si la función está activa, seleccione Verificar estado. Rechaz. llam. c/ SMS: para activar que se rechacen las llamadas con un mensaje de texto. Consulte ”Contestar o rechazar una llamada de voz”, pág. 175. Texto de mensaje: para ingresar un mensaje que se enviará al rechazar una llamada con un mensaje de texto. Imagen en llam.
Pueden contestarse llamadas de ambas líneas independientemente de la línea que haya seleccionado. No puede realizar llamadas si selecciona Línea 2 y no se ha suscrito a este servicio de red. Para evitar la selección de la línea, seleccione Cambio de línea > Desactivar si la tarjeta SIM lo admite. Para cambiar esta configuración, necesita el código PIN2. Desvío de llamadas La opción de desvío de llamadas es un servicio de red. 1. Seleccione qué llamadas desea desviar: Llamadas de voz, Llam.
La restricción y el desvío de llamadas no pueden activarse al mismo tiempo. Cuando las llamadas están restringidas, es posible realizar algunas llamadas a ciertos números oficiales de emergencia. Red Modo de red: para seleccionar qué red utilizar (sólo se muestra si es compatible con el proveedor de servicios). Si se selecciona Modo dual, el dispositivo utiliza automáticamente la red GSM o UMTS, en función de los parámetros de red y de los contratos de roaming entre los operadores de red.
USB Edite las configuraciones de USB. Consulte ”Conexión USB”, pág. 270. Puntos de acceso Para establecer una conexión de datos, se requiere un punto de acceso.
Nombre de conexión: ingrese un nombre descriptivo para la conexión. Petición contraseña: si debe ingresar una contraseña nueva cada vez que se conecta al servidor o si no desea guardar la contraseña en el dispositivo, seleccione Sí.
Llamada de datos Las configuraciones de las llamadas de datos afectan todos los puntos de acceso que utilizan una llamada de datos GSM. Tiempo de conexión: para configurar que la llamada de datos se desconecte automáticamente después de un tiempo de espera si no hay actividad. Para ingresar un tiempo de espera, seleccione Definido usuario e ingrese el tiempo en minutos. Si selecciona Ilimitado, la llamada de datos no se desconecta automáticamente.
■ Comandos de voz Para seleccionar las funciones que desea activar con un comando de voz, seleccione Menú > Configuraciones > Com. de voz. Los comandos de voz para cambiar los modos se encuentran en la carpeta Modos. Para activar un nuevo comando de voz para una aplicación, seleccione Opciones > Nueva aplicación y la aplicación.
Para ver una lista de las carpetas en la memoria del teléfono, seleccione Menú > Configuraciones > Admin. datos > Adm. archivos. Desplácese hacia la derecha para ver las carpetas de la tarjeta de memoria. Ver el consumo de la memoria Desplácese hacia la derecha o hacia la izquierda para ver el contenido de la memoria del teléfono o de la tarjeta de memoria. Para verificar el consumo de la memoria actual, seleccione Opciones > Detalles memoria.
1. Seleccione Opciones > Formatear tarj. mem. 2. Seleccione Aceptar para confirmar. 3. Cuando se complete el formateo, ingrese un nombre para la tarjeta de memoria. Copia de seguridad y restauración de datos Para hacer una copia de seguridad de la memoria del teléfono en la tarjeta de memoria, seleccione Opciones > Copia seg. mem. tel. Para restaurar información de la tarjeta de memoria en la memoria del teléfono, seleccione Opciones > Restaurar de tarj.
■ Administrador de dispositivo Puede recibir perfiles de servidores y valores de configuraciones de parte del proveedor de servicios o del departamento de administración de información de la empresa. ■ Claves de activación Gestión de derechos digitales Los propietarios de contenido pueden emplear distintos tipos de tecnologías de gestión de derechos digitales (DRM) para proteger su propiedad intelectual, incluso los copyrights. Este dispositivo usa variados tipos de softwares DRM para acceder al contenido protegido por la tecnología DRM. Con este dispositivo, se puede acceder al contenido protegido por OMA DRM 2.0 y OMA DRM 1.0.
Para ver las claves válidas ( ) que se relacionan con uno o varios archivos multimedia, seleccione Claves válidas. Las claves de grupo, que contienen varias claves, se indican con . Para ver las claves que contiene la clave de grupo, seleccione la clave de grupo. Para ver las claves no válidas ( ) con las que se superó el período de uso del archivo, seleccione Clav. no válidas.
Para transferir o sincronizar datos, haga lo siguiente: 1. Seleccione Menú > Configuraciones > Conectividad > Transfer. datos. Si no ha utilizado Transfer. datos antes, aparecerá información sobre la aplicación. Seleccione Continuar para iniciar la transferencia de datos. Si ya utilizó Transferencia datos, seleccione Transferir datos. 2. Al utilizar Bluetooth, es necesario vincular el teléfono para transferir datos.
■ Conexión Bluetooth La tecnología Bluetooth hace posible la conexión inalámbrica entre dispositivos electrónicos dentro de un alcance máximo de diez metros. Se puede utilizar una conexión Bluetooth para enviar imágenes, videos, textos, tarjetas de visita y notas de agenda, o para conectarse de forma inalámbrica a dispositivos compatibles que utilicen la tecnología Bluetooth, como las computadoras. Mi nombre teléfono: para definir un nombre para su teléfono. Modo remoto de SIM > Activado: para permitir que otro dispositivo (por ejemplo, un equipo para automóviles) utilice la tarjeta SIM del teléfono por medio de la tecnología Bluetooth (modo de acceso SIM). No necesita memorizarse la contraseña. • Después de la vinculación, el dispositivo se guarda en la vista de Dispositivos vinculados. 6.
Para configurar un dispositivo como autorizado, desplácese hasta el dispositivo y seleccione Opciones > Fijar como autoriz. Las conexiones entre su teléfono y el dispositivo autorizado se pueden establecer sin su conocimiento. No se necesita aceptar o dar una autorización por separado. Utilice este estado solamente para sus propios dispositivos a los cuales otros no tienen acceso, por ejemplo, su PC o dispositivos que pertenecen a alguien que usted confía.
Para utilizar el teléfono con Nokia PC Suite, seleccione PC Suite. Para sincronizar archivos multimedia, como música, con una versión compatible de Windows Media Player, seleccione Reproductor música. ■ Push to talk Push to talk (PTT) (servicio de red) es un servicio de voz por IP en tiempo real y está disponible a través de una red GSM/GPRS. PTT proporciona comunicación de voz directa que se activa con sólo pulsar una tecla. Antes de poder utilizar el servicio PTT, debe definir el punto de acceso y las configuraciones PTT. En la comunicación PTT, una persona habla mientras las demás escuchan. Los emisores se turnan para responder. Sólo puede hablar un miembro del grupo a la vez.
Configuraciones de PTT Para obtener información acerca de las configuraciones del servicio PTT, comuníquese con su proveedor de servicios. Para ver y cambiar las configuraciones de PTT, seleccione Menú > Configuraciones > Conectividad > PTT > Opciones > Configuraciones > Configuraciones usuario o Configuraciones conexión. Configuraciones de usuario Llamadas lista aceptados: para ver la notificación de las llamadas entrantes, seleccione Notificar.
Configuraciones conexión Comuníquese con el proveedor de servicios PTT para obtener las configuraciones de conexión. Inicio de sesión en PTT Seleccione Menú > Configuraciones > Conectividad > PTT. Información sobre las baterías ■ Carga y descarga Su dispositivo recibe alimentación eléctrica a través de una batería recargable.
