When you make or answer a call while listening to the radio, the volume is muted. When you end a call, the volume
automatically resumes its previous level.
Note that when an application sends or receives data using an (E)GPRS or HSCSD connection, it may interfere with the radio.
Voice recorder
You can record speech, sound, or an active call for up to 3 minutes. For example, this is useful when recording a name and
phone number to be written down later. You can also set a recording as a ringing tone.
The recorder cannot be used when a data call or GPRS connection is active.
Recording sound
1. Press Menu, and select Media → Voice recorder.
2. To start the recording, select Record. To start recording a call, press Options, and select Record. While recording a call,
hold the phone in the normal position near your ear. All parties to the call will hear a faint beep approximately every 5
seconds.
3. To end the recording, press Stop. The recording is saved in the Recordings folder of the Gallery menu.
To listen to the latest recording, select Play last recorded.
To send the recording using a multimedia message or infrared, select Send.
Listening to recordings
1. To listen to saved recordings, press Menu, and select Media → Voice recorder → Recordings list. The list of folders in
Gallery appears.
2. Open the Recordings folder and the recording that you want to listen to. For available recording options.
See Options for
the files in the gallery on page 42.
