UL (Uplink)
The direction of transmission in which the mobile station is the transmitting
facility and the BTS is the receiving facility.
Uplink Diversity
The BTS uses two antennas and two receivers simultaneously on a single channel
to obtain improved overall sensitivity in a system which is subject to random
fading. See Downlink Diversity.
