Step Action
1 If it has not been done, create a directory on the LMF computer where the BTS router canned
configuration files will be stored.
2 If it has not been done, obtain the OMC–R logon user ID and password from the local network
administrator.
3 Connect the LMF computer to the local network and log on.

NOTE
This procedure uses the command line FTP client supplied with Windows 98, Second Edition (Win98
SE) and Windows 2000 (Win2K); however, any commercially available FTP client application can be
used. Follow the manufacturers instructions for operation of an alternative application.
Open a command line (MS DOS) window by clicking on Start > Programs > Command Prompt.
5 When the command line window opens, change to the directory where the canned configuration files
will be stored on the LMF computer by entering:
cd pathname
Where pathname = the path to the required directory
A response similar to the following will be displayed:
C:\> cd Can_Cfg
C:\Can_Cfg>
6 Check the contents of the directory by entering the following:
dir
A response similar to the following will be displayed:
C:\Can_Cfg>dir
Volume in drive C is MAIN
Volume Serial Number is F2AA–1721
Directory of C:\Can_Cfg>
