PRELIMINARY
CSA Frequency Verification
The objective of this procedure is the initial verification of the Clock
Synchronization Alarms (CSA) Module before performing the RF path
verification tests.
Test Equipment Setup
(GPS & HSO/MSO Verification)
Follow the steps outlined in Table 6-19 to set up test equipment.

Step Action
1 Perform one of the following as required by installed equipment:
1a Verify a CSA card is installed in the CSA slot, and that the card is INS_ACT (bright green).
2 Connect a serial cable from the LMF COM 1 port (via null modem card) to the MMI port on the CSA
(see Figure 6-11).
3 Start an MMI communication session with the CSA by using the Windows desktop shortcut icon (see
Table 6-11) .
4 When the terminal screen appears press the Enter key until the CSA> prompt appears.
CAUTION
If the RF GPS module is uesd to take care to ensure that the GPS
antenna is properly connected to the GPS antenna connector
within the power entry compartment only. Damage to the GPS
antenna and/or GPS receiver can result if the GPS antenna is
inadvertently connected to any other RF connector.
