Install Span and Alarm Cables
Install the cables by using the cable run list provided in Table 2-3, by
referencing Figure 2-6, and by following the procedures in Table 2-4
through Table 2-6.
Span I/O Board (A) Installation
Perform the following procedure to connect cable A, to Span I/O board
A.
Table 2-4: Procedure to Install Span Line A Cable
Step Action
1 Connect the TELCO connector of cable A to the SPAN LINE connector of Span I/O board A.
2 Route the cable to the termination equipment.
3 Cut the cable to length, and connect it to the termination equipment. Refer to Figure 2-7 and Table 2-8
for pin and signal information.
Span I/O Board (B) Installation
Perform the following procedure to connect cable A, to Span I/O board
B.

Step Action
1 Connect the TELCO connector of cable A to the SPAN LINE connector of Span I/O board B.
2 Route the cable to the termination equipment.
3 Cut the cable to length, and connect it to the termination equipment. Refer to Figure 2-7 and Table 2-8
for pin and signal information.
Alarm Cable Installation
Perform the following procedure to install the alarm cables.

Step Action
1 Connect the 60-pin connector of one cable B to the ALARM A connector.
2 Route the cable to the termination equipment.
3 Cut the cable to length and connect it to the termination equipment. Refer to Figure 2-8, and Table 2-9
for pin and signal information. Alarm signal specifications are described on the following page.
4 Repeat Steps 1 through 3, using the other cable B and the ALARM B connector.
