Bay Level Offset Calibration
Failure
Perform the procedure in Table 6-8 to troubleshoot a BLO calibration
failure.
Table 6-8: Troubleshooting BLO Calibration Failure
Step Action
1 Verify the Power Meter is configured correctly (see the test equipment setup section) and
connection is made to the proper TX port.
2 Verify the parameters in the bts–#.cdf file are set correctly for the following bands:
For 1900 MHz:
Bandclass=1; Freq_Band=16; SSType=16
For 800 MHz:
Bandclass=0; Freq_Band=8; SSType=8
For 1700 MHz:
Bandclass=4; Freq_Band=128; SSType=16
3 Verify that no LPA in the sector is in alarm state (flashing red LED). Reset the LPA by pulling the
circuit breaker, and after 5 seconds, pushing back in.
4 Re-calibrate the Power Meter and verify it is calibrated correctly with cal factors from sensor head.
5 Verify GPIB adapter is not locked up. Under normal conditions, only two green LEDs must be
‘ON’ (Power and Ready). If any other LED is continuously ‘ON’, power-cycle (turn power off and
on) the GPIB Box and retry.
6 Verify sensor head is functioning properly by checking it with the 1 mW (0 dBm) Power Ref
signal.
7 If communication between the LMF and Power Meter is operational, the Meter display will show
