CompletelyinserttheBCUIIcardcageintotheframe.Aligntheholesineach
sidemountingbracketwiththeapplicableholesintheframerails.
WhilesupportingtheBCUIIcardcage,insertscrewsintothetopandbottom
holesineachsidemountingbracket.
Usingtheappropriatedriver ,tightenthescrewstothepropertorque
specication.

Openthefrontpaneldoortothe90degreesposition.

Routethedisconnectedgroundwirewiththedoubleholelugthroughthe
appropriatecablegroove,locatedattheBCUIIcardcagefrontleftcorner,
andintotheinsideofthedoorpanelarea(seeFigure8-4).
NOTE
IfthereplacementBCUIIcardcagealreadyhasaluginstalled,
removeitbeforeproceedingtostep7.

Attachthegroundwiredoubleholelugtothethreadedstudslocatedatthe
BCUIIcardcagefrontleftcorner.
SecurethegroundwirelugtothethreadedstudswiththetwoM6nuts.Using
a10mmsocketandtorquedriver,tightenthenutsto4.5N-m(39.8in-lb).

Routethedisconnectedber-opticcablesthroughtheappropriateopenings
inthegrommetlocatedattheBCUIIcardcagefrontleftcorner,andintothe
insideofthedoorpanelarea.

Reconnectallber-opticcablingtothecorrespondingconnectorsonthefront
oftheModemcards.
Grasptheopticaltransceiver,withthecableconnected,andplugtheoptical
transceiverintotheappropriatereceptacleontheModemcard.
Repeatthisstepforeachber-opticcable.

AttachthebercovertotheBCUIIcardcagefrontleftcorner(seeFigure8-4).
SecurethebercoverwiththetwoM4screws.UsingaT20TORXbitand
torquedriver,tightenthescrewsto2.3N-m(20in-lbs).

Reconnectallofthecablestothecorrespondingconnectorsontheoutsideof
theBCUIIfrontpaneldoor .

SettheexternalBCUIIpowersourcetoON.

PoweruptheBCUIIbymomentarilydepressingtheSiteControllercard
powerswitchsothattheswitchactuatorisintheIN/ONposition.

CAUTION
DONOTdresstheex-circuitdownintothedoorjamtoprevent
damagetotheex-circuit.Theex-circuitfoldsproperlywhenthe
doorisclosed.
ClosetheBCUIIfrontpaneldoor.Makesurethatthedoorlatchengages.
