Use and Care Manual

6. Remove the grab bar from the adapters again by removing the screws. If you are
mounting horizontally or vertically, remove the screws on the lower end first to
prevent potential injury. After removal of all screws, the adapters are now fixed to the
wall in the proper location and ready for the adhesive.
7. Carefully unfold the tube end to allow the red key to easily slide on. To open the black adhesive tube, carefully
pierce the seal with the pointed end of the red tube key.
8. Slide the slotted portion of the red tube key over tube end and engage end of tube. Be careful not to squeeze or
advance the glue from tube before next step.
9. Insert tube into center hole and it will wedge into hole. Do not put downward pressure on the adapter as it
will cause the glue to not flow into the adapter easily. Turn the red key slowly to insert the adhesive until
the adhesive beads up from each of the three vent holes. Should adhesive tube be empty before it beads
up from each vent hole, open another tube and continue insertion as described. Do not disturb or apply
pressure on the adapter after inserting the adhesive for 24 hours! Do not attempt to wipe off any
excess adhesive right after insertion into the adapter since this could compromise the bond!
Clean excess adhesive is easy once cured.
10. Allow adhesive to cure for a minimum of 24 hours. Remove the excess adhesive with a razor knife. Make sure that the
excess from the center hole is removed evenly. The adapter’s surface has to be completely smooth in order to mount the
grab bar flush.!
11. Reattach grab bar to the adapters using the supplied screws. If holes do not line up, flip grab bar over as
this proper orientation is key to alignment. Loosely attach all screws first before tightening all.
12. Slide cover ring over mounting flange. Turn in one direction until the ring is properly aligned and assure a
snug fit. Note there should be a small gap between cover ring and wall to provide proper drainage of water.
Note: the cover ring is easily attached if it is turned to the proper position and then snapped on.
13. Test for proper installation to be sure bar is firmly mounted by applying some pressure.!
