7 Controls In the game world and in menus, you'll control the game mainly using buttons. ♦ When designing rooms, you'll use the stylus on the Touch Screen.

8 Starting the Game After launching the game, the title screen will be displayed. Start C re ate a ne w charact e r, and s t ar t a n e w g a m e f r o m t h e beginning. This is the first option on the list of options you'll see when you first start playing. Check it out! 9 Saving and Erasing Data Saving the Game You can save your progress by writing a d aily repo rt at yo ur d esk in No ok 's Ho mes (pag e 13). Saving While Designing t o s av e an d P ress suspend your progre ss in the middle of designing a room. ♦ When you finish a design, it will automatically be saved.

Rotate Furniture Simply touch a piece of furniture to rotate it. Stack Furniture By t o u chi ng a nd , dragging it onto you can place items on top of other items such as desks. Move a Group of Furniture ❶ T o u c h a n e mp t y a re a o f the r o om, and then drag the s ty l us acr o s s th e group of furniture you want to move. ❷ You can then move the selected group as if it were a single piece of furniture. ♦ You can't move rugs or wall decorations as a group.

At Nook's Homes Use the in-game amiibo phone (page 13) to call up an animal an d o f f e r y o ur ho me - d e sig n services or update y our client information for that animal. Making a Call Y o u ca n a cc e pt re q u e s t s f r o m t he a ni mal featured on the amiibo card. Updating Client Information You can write data for the house of the animal that appears on the amiibo card.
