The Nilfisk-Advance quality
control
Before leaving the factory, each and
every Nilfisk-Advance battery
operated machine is fully tested.
Within this facility we have the
capability to fully service, install and
test all battery driven machines to
ensure maximum performance and
minimal downtime for our
customers. For us, it is essential to
ensure that there always exists the
optimum balance and relationship
between the machine itself and the
battery that is driving it. Quality is
the key word in all Nilfisk-Advance
activities.
Types of batteries available:
In general all batteries offered for
the various floor care machines in
the Nilfisk-Advance range are
standard "traction batteries" in the
conventional acid filled type or as
maintenance free.
As a low cost alternative we offer a
few "semi traction" mono block
batteries, (acid filled)
The semi traction monoblocks have
"traction" characteristics but fewer
cycles, only 800 cycles.
A traction battery is manufactured
in a way that allows it to be
discharged over a long period of
time (5h), the opposite to a starter
battery for a car, which is made to
be discharged rapidly and to give
max power to start a car or the like.
Battery cycle:
A battery cycle is defined as a
discharge of the battery to
max.80% (70%) followed by a
charging period.
The best rhythm for a battery is to
have one cycle per 24-h period.
More cycles per day shorten the life-
time of the battery.
Battery lifetime.
Conventional acid filled batteries
have a lifetime of app. 1500 cycles.
Maintenance free batteries have a
lifetime of app. 900 -1000 cycles.
Semi traction acid filled batteries
have a lifetime of app. 800 cycles.
Realising that cordless operation is
often essential in productive
utilisation of cleaning equipment,
Nilfisk-Advance has assembled a
wide range of batteries and
chargers to suit all needs. All of
these products come with full EU
certification. Our chargers are
designed for either single- or
three-phase power supply, while
the batteries come with optional
automatic water filling.
Maintenance free, conventional
acid batteries or batteries without
acid are available.
