The [Skin soft
ening] item has been added to the photo shooting
and video recording menus. Pictures taken when the face of a
human portrait subject is detected will automatically be processed
to soften the subject’s complexion.

Use the option currently selected for photos.
[High] Choose the amount of skin softening performed from (in order from
high to low) [High], [Normal], and [Low].
The camera can perform skin softening on up to three subjects at
a time.
If more than one human portrait subject is detected, a gray focus
point will appear over each of the subjects. If [Auto-area AF]
is selected for [AF-area mode], H and F icons will appear on
the focus point selected by the camera. The focus point can be
positioned by pressing 4 or 2 to choose the subject to which
skin softening applies.
