If [ON] is selected when a power zoom (PZ) lens is attached, the
camera will sav
e the current zoom position when turned off and
restore it when next turned on. Note that this increases camera
startup times.
The lens focal length is shown in the shooting display when a
power zoom lens is attached.
Tip: Assigning Power Zoom to Camera Controls
The power zoom role can be assigned t
o camera controls using options newly added to Custom
Settings f2 [Custom controls (shooting)] and g2 [Custom controls]. This role can be assigned to the
Fn1 and Fn2 buttons (
0 38).
