Film Type
When a scan window is active, this sub-
menu offers the same commands as the
scan window media-type menu (see
27).
Eject
When a scan window is active, this item
performs the same function as the but-
ton in the scan window (see 21).
Slide
Feeder…
When a scan window is active and the
SF-200 (S) slide feeder (available separately
for the 4000 ED and LS-2000) is inserted
in the scanner, this command opens a dia-
log that mirrors the functions of the slide
feeder options in the Scanner Extras pal-
ette (see 62).

When the scan window is active, the View menu offers access
to the following scan window controls:
• Show Natural Pane/Show Processed Pane: switches
back and forth between the Natural and Processed panes in
the preview area.
• Selection Cursor: has the same effect as clicking the
button in the Layout Tools palette.
• Focus Cursor: has the same effect as clicking the but-
ton in the Layout Tools palette.

Quitting Nikon Scan
To quit Nikon Scan, choose Exit (Windows) or Quit from the
file menu. If changes to the image have yet to be saved, you will
be prompted to save the image before the program terminates.
Bit Depth
(Macintosh
only)
If the scan window is active, this command
can be used to choose a new setting for
the Scan Bit Depth option in the Scan-
ner Extras palette (see 57). If an image
window is active, you can change the bit
depth of the image in the window. For
