Smile Timer
The camera detects human faces and then automatically releases the shutter whenever a
smile is detected.
The icon for the current setting is displayed in the monitor when the camera is in shooting
mode (A 6). No icon is displayed when Off is selected.
Blink Proof
The camera automatically releases the shutter twice each time a picture is taken. Of the two
shots, one in which the subject’s eyes are open is saved.

Option Description
a On (default setting) Enables smile timer.
k Off Turns the smile timer off.

Option Description
y On
Enables blink proof.
Flash cannot be used when On is
selected.
If the camera saved an image in
which the subjects eyes may have
been closed, the dialog shown on
the right is displayed for a few
seconds.
k Off (default setting) Turns the blink proof off.
A blink was detected in the
picture just taken.
