The Shooting Menu (for A (Auto) Mode)
B Notes About AF Area Mode
• When digital zoom is in effect, the camera focuses on the area in the center of the frame
regardless of the AF area mode setting.
• This function may not be available to use in combination with other functions (A66).
y Center
The camera focuses on the
subject in the center of the
frame.
s Subject tracking
Use this function to take
pictures of moving subjects.
Register the subject on which
the camera focuses. The focus
area automatically moves to
track the subject.

M Target finding
AF (default setting)
When the camera detects the
main subject, it focuses on that
subject.
