The top and bottom of the frame are cropped out
to produce a picture of the same proportions as
photographs taken with a 35-mm film camera.
The green lamp blinks slowly to show that pho-
tographs can not be accurately framed in the
viewfinder.

The following options are available:

Suited to print sizes ranging from large photo
album through to A5 (roughly 8˝ × 6˝).
1280 × 960SXGA Suited to postcard-size prints.
1024 × 768XGA
Suited to printing at smaller sizes (for example, as
an illustration in a letter or report), or to display
on monitors 17˝ or larger.
640 × 480VGA
Can be displayed full screen on 13˝ monitors.
Suited to distribution by e-mail or the web.
Restrictions on Image Size
Image sizes of FULL, UXGA, and 3 : 2 are not available when NOISE REDUC-
TION is set to Clear Image Mode ( 128).
Print Size
The size of images when printed depends on the resolution of the printer (the
higher the resolution, the smaller the final print size).
