No photo is taken
when shutter-release
button is fully
pressed
Camera is in playback mode.
Battery is exhausted.
Number of exposures remaining is zero: not
enough memory remaining.
Green lamp flickers: camera unable to focus.
Red lamp flickers: flash is charging.
Message “MEMORY CARD IS NOT FORMAT-
TED” appears in monitor: memory card is not
formatted for use in COOLPIX5000.
Message “NO MEMORY CARD” appears in
monitor: no memory card in camera.
