Creating
Retouched
Copies:
The
Retouch
Menu
Red-Eye Correction
The camera automatically detects
tired
eye" in photographs taken
using the flash, and creates copies
in
which this phenomenon
is
reduced.
Selecting this
option
displays a preview image
as
shown below.
Red-eye correction
is
available only
with
photographs taken using
the flash.
No copy will be created
if
the camera
is
unable
to
detect red
eye.
Confirm the effects
of
red-eye correction and create a corrected copy
as
described in the
following table. Note that red-eye correction may
not
always produce
the
expected
results and may in very
rare
circumstances be applied
to
portions
of
the image that
are
not
affected by red
eye;
check the preview
thoroughly
before proceeding.

If the camera detects red eye in the selected photograph,

its effects and exit

full-frame playback.
Description
While
photo
is
zoomed
in,
press the multi selector up,
down, left, or right
to
view
areas
of
image
not
visible in
monitor. Keep the multi
selector pressed
to
scroll
rapidly
to
other
areas
of
frame.

cancel zoom.

Retouched copies are recorded at
the
same image quality and
size
settings
as
those
of
the
source
images. However,
if
the
source image was taken at
an
image quality setting
of
RAW
or
RAW+B,
copies have an image quality
of
JPEG
Fine and an image
size
of
3,872 x
2/592.
