Use Dial
This
option
allows adjustments
that
are normally made by holding
a
button
and rotating a command dial
to
be made by rotating the
command dial after the
button
is
released. At the default setting
of
No,
the
button
must be pressed while the command dial
is
rotated.
If
Yes
is
selected, the setting can be changed by rotating
the command dial after the
button
is
released. Setting ends when
the
button
is
pressed again,
the
shutter-release
button
is
pressed
halfway, or any
of
the
MODE,
12,
~,
ISO,
QUAL,
or
WB
button
is
pressed
(if
Auto bracketing
is
selected for the corresponding "+dials"
option
as
described on page 323, setting will also end when the
Fn,
depth-of-field preview,
or
AE-UAF-L
button
is
pressed). Except
when
No limit
is
selected for Custom Setting

Auto meter-off
delay
or
an
optional
EH-Sa
or
EH-S
AC
adapter
is
used, setting will
also end when the exposure meters turn off.
