aise the ash.
When shooting in [N
ight portrait] or [Backlighting] (with [HDR] set to [O]) scene
mode, raise the built-in ash before shooting.
Turn the camera o and then on again.
An error occurred in lens operation.
D
o not apply excessive force on the lens.
If you turn the camera o and then on again, lens operation will return to normal.
The camera is on but does not respond. (page 267)

f the error persists even after turning the camera o and then on again, contact your
retailer or Nikon-authorized service representative.
Speedlight setting error
A Speedlight function that cannot be used with the camera is set. Change the

reinsert the battery, and turn the camera on.
