When y
ou press the multi selector
, the zoom lens position changes.

o zoom in (telephoto position): Press

o zoom out (wide-angle position): Press
. When you turn the camera on, the
z
oom moves to the maximum wide-angle position.
•
A zoom indicator is displayed on the shooting screen when
is pressed.
•
Dig
ital zoom (2), which allows you to further magnify the subject up to
approximately 4× the maximum optical zoom ratio, can be activated by pressing
when the camera is zoomed in to the maximum optical zoom position (1).
Digital zoom and Dynamic Fine Zoom

he zoom indicator changes to blue when the digital zoom is activated, and it changes to
yellow when the zoom magnication is increased further.
•
Zoom indicator is blue: Image quality is not noticeably reduced by using the Dynamic
Fine Zoom.
•
Zoom indicator is yellow: There may be cases in which image quality is noticeably
reduced compared to cases when the zoom indicator is blue.
•
The indicator remains blue across a wider area when the image size is smaller.
