The AF-assist illuminator automatically lights up when you press the
shutt
er-release button under dim lighting.
•
The illuminator has a range of about 1.9 m (6 ft 2 in.) at the maximum
wide-angle position and about 1.7 m (5 ft 6 in.) at the maximum
telephoto position.
•
Note that for some settings, the AF-assist illuminator may not light.
