light
needed
to
make
an
exposure, allowing higher shutter speeds

apertures,

the more likely the image

be affected by noise (randomly-spaced

pixels, fog, or lines; noise

particularly likely at settings

Choosing Auto allows the camera
to
set
ISO
sensitivity automatically in response
to
lighting conditions.
