Live View
Follow the steps below to take photographs in live view.
1 Rotate the live view switch.
The mirror will be raised and the view through the lens will
be displayed in the camera monitor.
The subject will no
longer be visible in the viewfinder.

Audio recording
indicator
Indicates whether sound is being recorded with movies. 60

Time remaining
The amount of time remaining before live view ends
automatically.
Displayed if shooting will end in 30 s or less.

AF mode The current autofocus mode. 50

AF-area mode The current AF-area mode. 50

Focus point
The current focus point. The display varies with the option
selected for AF-area mode (0 50).

Time remaining
(movie mode)
The recording time remaining in movie mode. 58

Movie quality The frame size and quality of movies recorded in movie mode. 60

Monitor
brightness
Displayed while the L button is pressed; keep the button
pressed and press 1 or 3 to adjust brightness (this applies to
the monitor only; exposure is not affected).

Live view switch
