Charging and Inserting
the
Battery

Charging
is
complete when the CHARGE lamp stops blinking.
Remove the battery from
the
charger and unplug the charger.
2 Insert the battery.
2.1 After confirming
that
the
power
switch
is
in
the
off
position, open the battery chamber
cover.
2.2
Insert a fully charged battery
as
shown at
right. Close
the
battery chamber cover.
Be
sure
that the
batterycontacts are
facing
down.

Turn
the
camera
off
and confirm that
the
memory card
access
lamp
is
off
before removing
the
battery.

Read
and
follow the warnings
and
cautions on pages
ii-iii
and
164-163
of
this manual, together with
any
warnings
and
instructions proVided by the battery manufacturer.
• Do
not
use
the battery at ambient temperatures
below
0

or above 40

OF).
During
charging, the temperature should be in the vicinity
of
5-35

(41-95
OF).
For best results, charge
the
battery at temperatures above 20

(68
OF).
Battery capacity may
drop
if
the
battery
is
charged
or used at lower temperatures.
• The battery may be
hot
immediately after
use.
If
so,
wait for
the
battery
to
cool
down
before
charging.
• Replace the supplied terminal cover after removing
the
battery from the camera or the quick
charger
to
avoid shorting
the
battery.
• Unplug
the
quick charger when
it
is
not
in
use.
