Error Possible Causes Solutions
There is no picture on selected
channels/camera picture is not
being displayed.
Camera cables are loose or have
become disconnected.
1. Check the camera video cable
and connections.
2. Disconnect and reconnect the
cable at the system and at
the camera.
3. Try moving the camera to
another channel or use
another cable.
The image on the DVR appears,
but does not have sound.
Audio cables are loose or have
been disconnected.
Check the AUDIO connection to
the DVR.
Audio channels are disabled.
Left click in Live View to bring
up the Volume control and
ensure that the channel(s) are
not low or muted.
Volume on external speakers
(not included) is low or off.
Increase volume on external
speakers (not included).
A “whirring” noise is coming
from the system.
Fan is active.
The noise means the exhaust
fan is working normally.
The system beeps at startup. The beep at startup is normal.
The system beeps during motion
detection.
Motion detection is enabled, but
the alarm buzzer is activated.
Go to Right-Click Menu > Main
Menu > Cameras > Motion >
Select the Channel and
un-check the Buzzer check box.
