AVI Capture Options and Settings
When capturing uncompressed AVI files, ensure your system’s hard drive speed can keep up
with the data you capture. If not, the capture file drops frames and loses quality. ViewCast
recommends video captures be done to a high speed external or network drive.
Note: Due to file size, high-definition streaming media appliances cannot capture
AVI files.

The Auto/Name tab has the following controls.
Automatically
Start Device
at Service
Startup
Enable this field to start the encoder when the Niagara SCX service starts.
Codec Name
Enter the name of the encoder.
Located On
Displays the name of the machine where the encoder resides.
