UDP/RTP Stream: the decoder will accept content on Ethernet over UDP/RTP, with
optional support for SMPTE-2022 FEC. The BRD also supports the notion of a backup
flow – if the primary flow disappears, the decoder will switch to the backup. Note that,
in the stand-alone GOSTREAM BRDc, UDP/RTP streams are only accepted in the
streaming Ethernet port.
HLS Stream: the decoder will retrieve the stream in real-time from an HTTP Live
Streaming web server.
RTMP Client: the decoder will retrieve a Flash stream from an RTMP Server, such as
the Adobe Media Server or similar.
RTMP Server: the decoder will accept a Flash stream from a publishing RTMP client.
RTSP Client: the decoder will connect to an RTSP server, such as an IP Camera, and
play the content.
Color Bars: the decoder will output standard color bars.
The remaining parameters in the Decoder Input section will depend on the Source selection.
ASI Input
When ASI Input is selected, the following control becomes available:
On Input Loss: selects the decoder behavior when the input signal disappears. If Freeze
Frame is selected, the decoder displays the last valid frame; if Go to Black is selected,
the decoder resets the signal and goes to black. The criterion for signal disappearance is
loss of tables.
