User’s Guide is divided into sections, with each feature of the Bluespoon™ 5G described in steps :

PAIRING the headset with another Bluetooth® enabled device (e.g. mobile phone) :

Conditions:

The 5G is turned off and not connected to a Bluetooth® mobile phone.

What to do?

Press and hold down the volume up button for 7 seconds.

The 5G will do what?

The 5G will shift between the red and blue light. The 5G will now be in the pairing mode for 2 minutes.

And then…..

Start to search for the 5G with your mobile phone. The name of the 5G on your mobile phone’s screen, will be “Bluespoon 5G”. When

the phone ask for a passkey : enter : 0000.

NOTE:

For phones that are using the Hands-Free profile:

Some of the phones that are using the Bluetooth® Hands-Free profile might need to connect to the Bluespoon™ 5G after pairing, in

order to work with the headset. This can be done in two ways. Either you connect to the phone by pressing one of the buttons on the

headset, or you connect to the Bluespoon™ 5G using the phone’s menu. Also remember to set the Bluespoon™ 5G as “authorised” in

the mobile phone’s Bluetooth® menu. (Consult the mobile phone’s manual in order to do so).

Pairing with more than one device:

The Bluespoon™ 5G is capable of pairing with up to 8 devices.

E.g. a mobile phone, the Bluespoon Home and the Bluespoon USB dongle.

This will enable you to use the Bluespoon 5G when you are out of the house by using the mobile phone. Use the Bluespoon 5G with

your line phone when you are in the house and also when you want to use Voice over IP (VoIP) with your computer.

If the Bluespoon™ 5G is paired with more than one device it will connect to the last connected device. To connect to another paired

device, turn off the first device’s Bluetooth®, and connect afterwards to the other device.

Press and hold down the volume up button for 2 seconds.

The 5G will do what?

The Bluespoon™ 5G will play an audio sequence in the form of a high tone followed by a low tone in the loudspeaker, and flash with the

red light 5 times. If the Bluespoon™ 5G is connected it will disconnect before it turns off.

Thank you for purchasing the Bluespoon™ AX headset. To fully appreciate all the features of your new headset, please follow the easy steps in this User’s Guide. Bluespoon™ AX is a wireless headset using Bluetooth® technology. Bluetooth® devices are connected to each other by what is known as “PAIRING”. Each Bluetooth device has a Pairingcode/PASSKEY. The PASSKEY for Bluespoon™ AX is 0000. This PASSKEY must be used each time the Bluespoon™ AX is paired with a new device.

To answer a call: Current mode: You have an incoming call. Bluespoon™ AX and the mobile phone are paired and within range of each other. Bluespoon™ AX will do what? Bluespoon™ AX will alert you with a ringing signal. What to do? Press the TALK button in order to take the call. To hang up: Current mode: You have an ongoing call in Bluespoon™ AX. What to do? Press the TALK button in order to end the call. Bluespoon™ AX will do what? Call will be ended.

Transfer a call to Bluespoon™ AX: Current mode: Bluespoon™ AX is paired with the mobile phone and turned on. There is an ongoing/incoming call in the phone. What to do? Press the TALK button. Bluespoon™ AX will do what? Bluespoon™ AX will connect to the mobile phone and transfer the call to the headset. _____________________________________________________________________________________ Handle a Call waiting: Current mode: Call waiting feature is supported by the mobile phone and operator.

FAQ: Problem: Solution: Bluespoon™ AX disconnect after 90 seconds, when it is connected with phone that is using the Hands -Free profile This is a normal behaviour of the headset. The reason why this happens is that the mobile phone does not support a low power mode. Next time you receive a call, press the TALK button and the headset will reconnect and answer the call. The Bluespoon™ AX or the mobile phone disconnects, and Bluespoon™ AX turns off.

CAUTION : · Do not expose headset or battery to direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time. · Do not use the headset or battery at extreme high or low temperatures. · Do not leave the headset or battery in a car in blazing heat. · Do not expose the headset or battery to lit cigarettes, cigars, open flames, liquid or moisture etc. · Do not drop, hit, throw or try to bend headset or battery, as rough treatment could damage the products. · Do not try to eat/swallow headset or battery.

Answer a call: Conditions: You have an incoming call, and the phone is ringing. The Bluespoon™ 5G and the phone are paired and on. The 5G will do what? It will alert you with a ringing signal. What to do? Press one of the buttons in order to take the call. And then … The mobile phone will open an audio connection. Hang up: Conditions: You have an ongoing call in the Bluespoon™ 5G. What to do? Press the volume down button for 2 seconds in order to end the call.

Some digital wireless phones may interfere with some hearing aids. In the event of such interference, you may want to consult with your hearing aid manufacturer to discuss alternatives. Simultaneous use of a CIC-hearing aid and the Bluespoon™ headset is not possible due to lack of space in the ear. Other medical devices If you use any other personal medical device, consult the manufacturer of your device to determine if it is adequately shielded from RF energy.
