ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
1 Select an appropriate location to secure
the detector on the ceiling or wall
The attachment surface must be smooth
and at. Compatible surfaces for the adhesive:
paint, metal, plastic, glass and smooth, non-
porous wood
Locations exposed to direct sunlight (e.g. the
glass roof of a greenhouse) are not compatible
with this adhesive
Check that ambient temperature is between
16°C and 35 °C
If in doubt, secure the detector with
the screws and anchors provided
2 Clean the attachment surfaces (attachment
base and wall / ceiling)
The attachment surface must be dry and
free of dust, grease or other impurities: all
damaged coatings (paint, etc.) must be
removed
Only use clean cloths and non-greasy alco-
hol-based grease removers: check that the
surfaces are dry before applying the adhesive
3 Take the smoke detector o its base
4 Remove the red protection lm from the
adhesive (g.A)
Check that the adhesive is in good condi-
tion: the red and white protection lms are
in position and no dust or other pollutants
are present on either side of the adhesive
Avoid placing your ngers on the self-
adhesive part
5 Ax the adhesive to the attachment base
(g.B)
Apply even pressure over the adhesive
surface for 10 seconds and then wait for 15
minutes (g.C)
6 Ax the attachment base to the wall or
ceiling after cleaning these surfaces.
Check the preferred direction of the detec-
tor before xing the attachment disk to the
ceiling/wall.
Remove the white protection lm from
the adhesive (g.D)
Avoid placing your ngers on the self-
adhesive part
Ax the attachment base to the wall or
ceiling without the smoke detector (g.E)
Hold the attachment base rmly against
the wall or ceiling by pressing hard with
your thumb for 10 seconds (g.F)
