Preparing your Room
Locate the uneven areas to adjust the cabinets in order to make the installation plumb, true and
square.
Using a carpenter’s level, nd the high point of the oor.
Check all around the room within 24” of the wall where base cabinets will be attached.
From the high point, mark a level horizontal line using a straight edge, on the walls where the
cabinets will be attached. This will be called the base level line.
From the base level line, measure up 34 3/4” and mark another level horizontal line for the base
cabinets.
Add 1-1/4” for a standard NewAge countertops (if you are using a custom countertop, measure
the thickness accordingly) and 18 inches for a standard backsplash. Mark the bottom line for wall
cabinets at this 54-inches from the base line which will serve as a guide for hanging the cabinets.

Mark the top line for wall cabinets at 30” or 36” (according to the height of wall cabinets selected)
from the bottom line for wall cabinets.
Mark a reference line 2 3/8” below the measured top line of the wall cabinet. This Line acts as a
reference to install suspension rails on the wall.
