Pilot Main Burner can only be removed by
lifting at 45° angle after adjacent burner to right
is removed.
2. Brush top of burners with a soft bristle brush. See
Figure 23. Vacuum burners.
3. Check orices. Drilled passageways must be free of
lint or dirt.
4. Vacuum tip of Pilot Burner.
5. Clean rebox by vacuuming. Exercise care not to
damage base insulation.
6. Install burners by reversing procedure used to
remove burners. Make sure burner with pilot
assembly is in same location as original installation
- see Table 9.
Check burners to see that they are located properly
in slot at rear of burner tray, see Figure 23. Reinstall
injection shield assembly (40mm burners only,
where used) and burner access panel. Reconnect

ame roll-out switch wires, pilot gas supply,
thermocouple lead or pilot lead.
7. For Continuous Ignition (Standing Pilot) connect
thermocouple at gas valve. For Intermittent Ignition
(EI) connect pilot gas supply, igniter/sensor wire,
and ground wire at Ignition Module.
8. Install Burner Access Panel. Connect Flame Rollout
Switch wires.
F. Check Operation. Follow steps C through J from
Section VII: System Start-up.
G. Removal or replacement of pilot assembly or pilot
assembly parts. If pilot assembly, sensor or pilot orice
need replacing, remove main burner with pilot using
procedure described in Paragraph E.1.
1. To replace orice disconnect pilot tubing.
a. Continuous Ignition (Standing Pilot) and
Intermittent Ignition (EI). Orice is retained by
compression tting. See Section IX: "Repair
Parts" and Paragraph G.4 below.
b. Connect pilot tubing and check for leaks.
2. Continuous Ignition (Standing Pilot). To replace
thermocouple:
a. Loosen attachment nut securing thermocouple to
pilot burner.
b. Remove thermocouple. Replace per Section IX:
"Repair Parts".
3. Intermittent Ignition (EI).
4. To replace pilot burner assembly.
a. Remove two machine screws holding pilot
burner to pilot bracket.
b. Disconnect pilot tubing, igniter/sensor wire and
ground wire.
c. Replace per Section IX: "Repair Parts".
d. Reconnect pilot tubing, igniter/sensor wire and
ground wire.
5. Reinstall main burner following procedure described
in Paragraph E.
H. Lubrication. There are no parts requiring lubrication
by service technician or owner. Circulator bearings are
water lubricated.
