Cleaning with the floss attachment
You can use the floss attachment e to clean interdental spaces with the aid of
dental floss.
1) Place the floss attachment e on the hand element.
2) Take around 15 cm of standard commercial dental floss and wrap one
end around the fixture w 2–3 times.
NOTE
If the dental floss slips off the fixture w, you can tighten the screw with a
Phillips screwdriver.
3) Pass the dental floss tightly through the guide grooves q on the floss at-
tachment e.
4) Then wrap the other end around the fixture w 2–3 times so that the
dental floss is stretched taut and does not come undone while cleaning the
interdental spaces.
5) Guide the dental floss between two teeth with the toothbrush switched off.
6) Switch the appliance on. When cleaning with the floss attachment e, use
the settings “Clean” or “Soft”.
7) Clean the interdental space with careful up-and-down movements.
8) Clean all the interdental spaces as described above.
9) When you are finished, switch off the toothbrush and take it out of your
mouth.
10) Remove the dental floss from the fixture w and dispose of it.
11) After use, clean the floss attachment e thoroughly under running water.
12) Remove the floss attachment e from the hand element.
To clean the drive shaft 2 and the handset, hold them under running water
for a short while. Hold the handset so that the drive shaft 2 is pointing
downwards at an angle.
