MOUNTING OPTIONS
• ItisrecommendedthatNeutra-Safecondensateneutralizersbeinstalledascloseaspossibletotheoutletofthegastrap.
• Maintainadownwardspitchof¼"towardstheoutletoftheneutralizer.
• Careshouldbetakenwhenselectingmountinghardware.Itisrecommendedtousesuppliedbracketsforoororwallmounting.
• Neutra-Safecondensateneutralizersmaybeinstalledonorabovetheoorsolongasapitchof¼"perfootismaintainedbetweenthe
neutralizerandthedrainorpump.
INSTALLATION
1. Neutra-Safecondensateneutralizersincludebuilt-inunions.Snapinbracketsincludedwithallmodels.
2. Identifysuitablelocationtoinstallcondensateneutralizer.
3. IfusingPVCpipe,applyTeontapetothethreadsofprovidedPVCsocketadaptorsandattachtoneutralizer.
*DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN*
Over tightening can crack the end cap and create a leak. If over tightening should occur, replacement end caps
and lock rings are available for purchase. Over tightening is not covered under warranty.
4. Positionandsecurethemountingbracketsmaintainingapitchdownwardsof¼"towardstheoutlet.
5. PrimeandgluePVCpipetottings.
Note: If using exible tubing, be sure to use hose clamps at barb ttings.
Note: It is recommended that PVC pipe be used wherever possible as this will reduce any risk of tube kinking.
Neutra-Safe provides two ¾" PVC socket adaptors for this purpose.
6. RoutePVCpipeortubingtodrainorpump,maintainingapitchof¼"perfoot.
7. Allmodels(exceptCN2-220V)arebi-directional.
8. Fillcondensatetrapwithwateruntilowisestablishedthroughneutralizer.
9. Observeneutralizerduringboileroperationtoensureunrestrictedcondensateow.

3. Neutralizermediashouldbereplacedatleastannuallyorwhen
pHfallsbelowlocalregulations.Neutralizerefciencycanonly
bedeterminedbymeasuringpHlevelofcondensateoutow
withapHmeter.Stripsdonotprovideaccuratereadings.
4. Refertochartbelowforappropriaterellkit.

Replacement media installation-
*DO NOT REMOVE MEDIA FROM FABRIC SACK.
1. Unscrewunionsatbothendsofneutralizer.Ifnecessary,rotate
cartridgetoreleaseO-ring.
NOTE: Be careful not to lose the O-rings at either end of
cartridge.
2. SpareO-ringisincludedinrechargekit(ifneeded).
3. Removecartridgeanddisposeofoldmedia(non-hazardous).
4. Rinseinsideofcartridge(ifneeded).
5. Removeplasticcapfromcardboardtubeandplaceopeningush
againstcartridgeopening,tilttoallownewmediasacktoslide
intocartridge.
*Do not take media sack out of the cardboard tube.
6. ChecktomakesurethatO-ringsareinplacebeforereinstalling
cartridge.*Do not over tighten. (see above)
7. Primeuegastrapwithaminimumof1gallonofwater.
8. Observeneutralizerduringboileroperationtoensure
unrestrictedcondensateow.
