please check whether t he cables work or not .
z Repeat t he st eps in WAN Set up Connect with I nt ernet t hrough DSL Modem .

z Check if t he WAN LED is ON. I f not , verify t hat t he physical connection
between t he router and t he DSL/ Cable m odem is firm ly connect ed. Also
ensure t he DSL/ Cable m odem is working properly.
z I f WAN LED is ON, open t he Syst em Overview page of the Web
configurat ion ut ilit y and check t he st at us group t o see if t he router s WAN
port has successfully obt ained an I P address.
z Make sure you are using t he correct ion m ethod ( Dynam ic I P Address,
PPPoE, or Stat ic I P) as required by t he I SP. Also ensure you have ent er ed
the correct sett ings provided by t he I SP.
z For cable users, if your I SP requires a regist ered Ethernet card MAC address,
m ake sure you have cloned t he net work adapt er s MAC address t o t he WAN
port of t he rout er. ( See t he MAC Address field in WAN Set up.)

z Ensure t he wireless adapt er funct ions properly. You m ay open the Device
Manager in Windows t o see if t he adapt er is properly installed.
z Make sure t he wireless client uses t he sam e SSI D and securit y set tings ( if
enabled) as the Wireless Broadband Rout er.
z Ensure t hat the wireless adapt ers TCP/ I P set t ings are correct as required
by your net work adm inist rat or.
z I f you are using a 802.11b wireless adapt er, and check t hat t he 802.11G
Mode it em in Wireless Basic Sett ing page, is not configured t o use 802.11G
Perform ance.
z Use t he ping com m and t o ver ify t hat the wireless client is able t o
com m unicat e wit h the rout ers LAN port and wit h t he rem ot e com puter. I f
the wireless client can successfully ping t he rout er s LAN port but fails t o
ping t he rem ote com put er, t hen verify t he TCP/ I P sett ings of t he rem ot e
com put er.
